I used to visit this Rally's all the time - grew up in the Devonshire area. Recently went back for a visit and, like the rest of the area, it seems a bit more rundown than it used to. Service was okay, but a little slow. They asked if we wanted to try a new funnel cake and forgot to put it in the bag (but didn't forget to charge us for it). Still yummy food for good price. First of all, we ordered a Garlic Swiss chicken sandwich meal and one garlic chicken sandwich on the side as well as Philly steak bites, one chicken sandwich was hard as a rock and 2/4 of the bites was burnt black. So we went back and got a new sandwich and it was okay but then we dropped a $600 phone on the floor and left and came back and one of the workers tried to lie and say they didn't have it when u can clearly see on the phones location that it's walking back and forth inside of the rally's. Second time I wanted some food, i pulled in and watched an emplyee crawl out the drivethru window. As i was walking up to the door as i had a trailer on my truck and couldn't fit in the drive thru, i watch the employee light a blunt. Came here on a Tuesday evening. Initial wait to get help at the speaker was a little long given I was the only one there. But once I got a staff member, they were courteous and rang up my order promptly. Wait time was acceptable at the window and the food was hot, fresh, and accurate. This spot always has friendly workers and good food, but they're always really busy and slow. One time, some scary man approached my car and was asking for money. It was scary because it was dark and I was alone. I would definitely recommend coming with someone else, because being alone was terrifying. This is not a top gourmet restaurant, but they make a good consistent burger. So don't knock them for their lack of a happy go lucky persona....or their sparkling cleanliness....or seating arrangements. But I did get a smile from the woman making my Big Buford when I told her I would marry her if I was single cause she was sooo talented in making my sandwich. Rally's is a great American throwback to a time when no one really cared about cholesterol or weight or any of that stuff that doctors seem to care about as we enter the great age of morbid obesity. As such you will see their menu reads like burger chains of yesteryear when no one cared about carbs or fat and everyone cared about taste and living life large. Their menu is a virtual cornucopia of what your doctor has warned you about: chili cheese dogs, chili cheese fries, bacon burgers, bacon cheesy burgers, double bacon burgers with cheese, etc etc etc. Rally's is also a drive-through only. I live about 10 minutes away so we swing by here for a burger or two once every couple of months. Contrary to what other reviewers say my food is usually hot once I get home, although I usually do nuke the fries for 20 seconds or so as they do tend to go to warm rather quickly and I like my fries hot. The best sandwich they serve here in my opinion is not even a burger, it's their big chicken sandwich. The reason for that is the sourdough bread. You can ask for that type of bread on any burger and I'd highly recommend it. Their fries taste quite similar to Arby's curly fries but they are not curly. They have a great seasoning and I tend to eat them without any ketchup. I'd also recommend their all beef hot dogs with or without chili or cheese. They are very plump and quite satisfying in a "omg I'm killing my diet" type of way. Oh and surprisingly their wings are really good too, not something I'd think a burger joint would be able to pull off but I'd say they are pretty high quality. As for the price, my girlfriend and I almost always hit the $12 or $13 mark for both of us so it's really cheap dining. Make no mistake, this isn't gourmet food or even somewhat healthy food. It's good old American junk fast food that will kill you if you make it a staple of your diet. But if you've been good lately and want to treat yourself to a little bit of bad food then Rally's can make that happen for you. Just remember to hit the elliptical a little more hard the next day and you'll be fine. read more

Usually does alright if you're there in the afternoon. Evening and night time service has been consistently terrible or non-existant when I've gone here. It's rally's so as far as food goes, you're eating at rally's you're not here for quality you're here to fix a hangover. Highly recommend taking an extra 4 minutes to just go to the one on Morse if you're trying to get food past 8pm, though. read more

This is a small take-out-only restaurant at the corner of Rt 161 and Karl Road. I ended up eating there last night because traffic was so bad due to the vice-president being in town that I couldn't get anywhere else. So, I ordered a regular Rally-burger and fries. The fries were better than average and the burger was just so-so. The problem I have with this chain is that if you went home your food would be cold and if you ate there, you'd make a mess in your car. Plus the burger had the life cooked out of it. When I want a burger I'll either make it myself at home or get it somewhere where I can eat in. read more

I think I speak for many when I say, no place is better at 11:30 PM on your way home from a night out. Rallies serves a fantastic niche. I appreciate the fact that you can get a decent buffalo wing from the drive through. They're better than a place like Pizza Hut or Dominoes. More on par with B-Dubs and that says a lot for a take out spot. When most your wings spots are closed or you need a quick fix for some decent buffalo wings, these wings definitely get the job done. You pair the wings with the 2 for $4/$5 burger deals and Rally's is giving you unbeatable value. The American double melt is like cheesy mayonnaisey goodness. And their fries are nice thick cut seasoned spuds. There needs to be more of these places. They get a thumbs up from me. read more

If I could, I would give a NEGATIVE star review. I went in to the window to place an order, 5-10 minutes later, there was STILL no acknowledgement that I was even there. One of the crew was outside smoking, I asked if the walk-up window was closed, and he stated to tap on it. Which I did, still no acknowledgement. I attempted to call the store, NO ANSWER on the phone, and there were plenty of people working inside. I could see at least 4 plus the one smoking, so there were at least 5 people working. The wait for the food was a lot longer than any other fast food drive-thru I've visited. And when I got home I was faced with the wrong order. I'm used to checking the food to make sure no mistakes were made but I wasn't aware I had to open up each wrapper and examine its contents. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, got a low end burger despite the receipt on the bag saying the correct order. It wasn't exactly the easiest place to get to in my experience, but there was a lot of construction going on at the time. The food itself was okay. Their world famous fries were the best part of the meal. The chilidog being quite odd tasting and the average burger that I didn't ask for was just that, average. Nothing special about it at all. And their food goes cold extremely quick. Within the 6-8 minute drive back home (even with the A/C off to preserve its heat), it was pretty cold and not nearly as appetizing as it would've been. If you're going to eat here I suggest pulling up in the parking lot and eating there immediately otherwise it won't be nearly as good, not that there was anything quite amazing other than their fries. I came here one day last week and went inside to order. There was a woman complaining that she had been there waiting to order for 15 minutes and no one was taking her order. Finally someone came up to order and she had to try to teach them how to take her order because the employee clearly stated he didn't know how to. Everyone in the back seemed only concerned with drive thru so after a few minutes I decided to try the drive thru instead. There were 3 cars ahead of me that needed to order and 8 minutes later there were still the same amount of cars needing to order. Rally's/Checkers has the best fries- no question. This Rally's is a reliable fast food option, they have never messed up my order, even when I ask for things like no mayo. Staff is nice, I'm never waiting long, and I get what I order. Not much more you could ask for. read more
