    Nice store, prices are ok, the best part of the store is the bread section. The breads are fresh, super soft and smell delicious... yep! The bakery rocks :) I found the best price on coffee creamer (almost a dollar cheaper then at Safeway) Yippie! I drink coffee every single day and getting a good price for my fav creamer is KEY!! I'm finding that the prices all over Chico are more expensive then in LA which is very weird :-/ Anyhoo this store had a pretty good organic fruit and veggie section as well as a super extensive flower department. Since this was my first visit, I inquired about the customer loyalty program (I LOVE the Ralphs program and will miss it tremendously :(. No Ralphs in Chico. Waaaaaaa!) I'm a bargain shopper, a loyalty program is what will bring me back, digital coupons on items I buy the most, cash back... all that good stuff, gotta have it! Thanks to Javier, the store manager for setting me up with my new account and showing me how to use it. Its a bit more complicated then simply flashing a bar code from my iPhone but whatever, Chico is a little behind the times and I'll have to adjust. Its an ok store, I'll visit the other location and keep my fingers crossed that I like it better :)

    I've never seen such a beautiful produce department. It was so beautiful my husband took an apple feom thee back as to not mess it up. Seriously.... the ....most .... beeautiful .... produce department EVER!!

    Whatever the plans are for your next meal do NOT buy the prawns from Raleys!!! I spent $15.99 a lb on mushy, unpealable, uncleaned and in other words a seafood product that was over priced and almost inedible. I had forgotten that, that particular Raleys doesn't not have a formal meat dept. so I really have to put a little of the blame on myself. However, if I knew I was buying crap for $15.99 and have to throw away almost 1/2 of the 2 packages I bought, I WOULDN'T HAVE EVEN WALKED INTO THE STORE!!

    The cake I received

    I ordered a custom "extreme baseball cake" online for my sons 8th birthday party. I received email confirmation that they were working on my cake with a plan of picking it up after 10:00am a few days later. When I arrived at 11:00am at the bakery counter I was told that they were out of the "extreme baseball" kit so she did something similar, "I hope you like it." It was really bad and not at all what I had ordered and already paid for. The bakery staff offered to "fix it" for me but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to wait. Need less to say I was very disappointed and everyone at the birthday party agreed it was really bad. I did email the the store but got a generic response.

    Not too happy with Raleys right now. I just bought these from this Raleys no more than 10 minutes ago. I opened them up and they are moldy.

    Nice place to get groceries! There isles were nice straight and full ! The employees were fantastic to me and my daughter!

    This is only store in chico that carries Tab soda. Like any store you get the good with the bad and at this store there is more good.

My father was attempting to purchase a bottle for an upcoming wedding. Although I was not purchasing any alcohol or making a transaction, the cashier insisted that every person in our group present identification. I explained that I am 32 years old and was simply accompanying my parents, who are both in their 60s and were the only individuals making a purchase. The situation escalated when the manager stated that it was store policy to ID everyone present and ultimately refused service when I stepped outside the store. As a result, my parents were unable to complete their purchase. We fully respect and support responsible alcohol sales and compliance with ID laws. However, denying service to a legal purchaser because other adults are present -- even when those adults are not involved in the transaction -- felt excessive, unnecessary, and poorly handled. The interaction left us feeling embarrassed, singled out, and unwelcome. This experience also raises an important question: if a minor enters the store with their parents, would the parents be denied service as well? If this is indeed the policy, it would be helpful for customers to see it clearly posted and explained before reaching the register. We are long-time customers and did not expect to be turned away in this manner. I hope this feedback will prompt a review of how this policy is enforced and communicated so future customers do not have a similar experience. I would appreciate a response regarding this matter.     These guys are ASSHOLES. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS…read more I didn't know the CA law about no returning of alcohol. So I attempted to return alcohol. Naturally, the guy behind the counter with the slicked back hair, had to explain that I couldn't do that. And of course, I probably should have known the relevant law! That much is on me. But what I didn't expect was how UNPLEASANT and ANGRY this guy got in response. He looked at me with such contempt! He looked at me like I was a threat, or a moron, or somehow like a guy endangering his business. I want to be clear-- I was 100% sober, I was well dressed, making good eye contact, trying to communicate well-- and this guy basically YELLED at me, he was furious. It was insane how out of proportion his reaction was, to what I did. Not every customer is going to know every law. When a customer doesn't know a law, that doesn't mean they are a bad person or deserve to be spoken to harshly and without any sympathy. It is BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE to be CORDIAL to the people who are supporting your business. When you ATTACK someone, you are no longer holding up your end of the bargain by creating a space where people feel SAFE to do business. I will not be coming back here, I am literally afraid to return, this guy looked so damn mad at me!
