I have been shopping at Raley's for years. I call it the dog Raley's as there is always someone thinking the grocery store is the place to socialize their dog. Make sure to use their wipes to clean out the basket bc ppl put their dogs in the baskets. On another topic, thankfully their remodel is over. Good luck trying to find what you want unless it's wine. The new layout has a lot to be desired. I spent an hour, I know pretty stupid, trying to find some salt which would normally be found amongst the baking supplies, but no that would be too logical. They need an app to help you find the location of the items you want in their store. read more

I love Raley's, always have. Great staff and wonderful organic produce. I did have a problem with an employee a couple of months ago who rolled his eyes when I asked for help but he got over it and helped me. Also, I am so disappointed they no longer carry Lasco's Herring in Sour Cream. Sorry, Raley's, but your brand is not as good. It's waaay too sweet. But I love you guys anyway! read more

I'm taking a break from this Raley's. I was there last Sat evening at 8:45. There was one single checkout person and at least 7 people waiting to check out. They are remodeling and there is no labeling on the aisles. There was not a single person besides the bagger to ask where items were located. Even he didn't know but to his credit he spent 5-10 minutes looking for me. Their bakery department is not impressive. I'd love to even find bagels. There produce is always good, though. It feels like you have to cross a lot of territory to find what you need here. read more

Raley's did an excellent remodel. I love the lay out and that the cold items are in closed cases. I usually get through the check out quickly which makes me very happy! The Raley's staff seem genuinely nice. read more

It's a great store when you need fresh flowers and last minute ingredients for dinner. I would have given an extra star, but the bakery department has let me down on a couple of occasions. They've managed to completely mess up two pre ordered cakes... seriously? The second time I came there to pick up a custom birthday cake, I was told that the person who took my order didn't write clear instructions and didn't take down my number so they didn't follow any of the instructions down. This was an order placed 3 days in advance. I won't be ordering any future cakes from here. read more

I like this Ralyes, I always find what I need and more. Their balloon and flower section is better than Safeway's and their meat is delicious and cut very clean. read more

The customer service at this store has always been good, but Giovanni in the deli went over and above to make sure I was taken care of and happy. It's always nice to shop in a clean well organized store, which this store has always been. But if all the employees have a smile on their face and a positive attitude like he did, it Would make even the most grumpy old ladies smile and say thanks read more

I pick up my perscrepions up from Raleys now and then so I also stop by the Food court area they have and the Hot Food. Got a made in store sandwich, potato wedges, and cookies. The Sandwich was good and the cookies were soooo good nice and chewy goodness but the potato wedges were gross sad to say could have gone in the fryer a bit longer. Besides that can't wait to try other Food Selection Raleys has Oh and the Customer Service was Good. read more

Nice place to get groceries! There isles were nice straight and full ! The employees were fantastic to me and my daughter!

When you think of going to lunch with your coworkers you don't think going to Raley's. When I make the suggestion I get a questionable look, however, those that have gone and had a Dagwood sandwich understand what I am talking about. This sandwich is hands down the best sandwich in Chico. They provide a little eating area to enjoy your lunch. Give it a try! read more

I am usually a fan. The clerks are generally very helpful and now that I am used to the remodeled layout, that is OK too. I don't use (and don't like) self-checkout features, so I skip that. The deli people have always been helpful if not particularly quick. BUT getting good fresh fruit --stone fruits, in particular, can be a challenge. To be fair, this is probably not the store's fault. Peaches and nectarines are usually rock hard but then 'ripen' into mush or go straight to rotten without a pause for 'delicious' and 'juicy'. I have pictures of peaches I just cut open--rotten at the core already--and unusable. The cake they were intended for now is a waste. I have to inspect berries very carefully to be sure there is not mold in the container already. Cherries and grapes are usually great. Apples and citrus are usually fine. I do not know if the process from harvest to sale is just too much for peaches and nectarines, and if the berries just don't stand up very long. I guess my purchases will have to be straight from the farm. Disappointing. read more

Raley's - Grocery Near Me - Chico, California

Great products, nice customer service - very accommodating. New deli section is good (check out the hot bar). Great wine department, and produce. Good meats. Pricier than bargain shops like winco, but lots of organic and higher end choices, e.g. tons of good mustard, not just a couple of crummy ones. Comprehensive - could get everything for the week and not need to make a seconds stop somewhere else to meat or diapers. read more

Deli department needs help Azuree M. Seem unhappy if you piss her off she throws your sandwich together

Nice Raley's that even doubles as a basic drug store. Great selection of "health" foods. I'm in town for the day and had to grab a few things. I'm happy I chose here. read more

Their service is great their check stands just got in a month ago. The employees are super nice. Their food is really good. New hot and salad bars. Create your own sandwiches. You can get really good panini's. If you don't go there and pick up Raleys food your missing a once in a lifetime food store. I can guarantee that you will like their chicken, baby back ribs, hot grill, hot panini's, and create your own sandwiches. They have a very wide variety of food read more

This is only store in chico that carries Tab soda. Like any store you get the good with the bad and at this store there is more good.

I like going to this store because it is close and convenient. I will no longer be going here after what I witnessed while I was checking out. A manger was asking a cashier why no one was tending to a wet spot on the floor near the checkout lines. The cashier replied with " she had to run an item out to a customer because she forgot it". Manager replied with "ok but we need someone here so no one slips". Understandable right!! The cashier replied with "well then, you stand there". I was literally in shock. I couldn't believe that cashier, Named Jennifer, would be so disrespectful to her manager. Not to mention that the manager would allow her to be that disrespectful. The bantering continued to the point that people were staring. This is just one example of how much this store has gone down hill with in the last couple years. As a business owner myself, your business can only last with a strong team. Having disrespectful and ungrateful employees such as Jennifer will ruin your business. I will no longer shop here. I will inconveniently make the drive across town to shop from here on out. read more

The customer service at Raleys is excellent. The cashiers always seem to be in a good mood with a smile on there face. Really nice store, but a little expensive. read more

WIth the remodel Raley's has transformed in to the Store to shop in South Chico. Brand new salad/ hot bar in the Deli. Full service meat and seafood cases in meat and the brand new massive produce department sets this store apart from all others in the area. With the continuation of their emphasis on pricing Raley's is setting themselves apart from other stores. And moving in a healthy direction offering better for you options. read more

So, Raleys has completed a remodel and is having a "grand opening" complete with a giant sign at the entry which asks customers to complete a Yelp review. I did not grocery shop per se - I was looking for a solution to arriving back in town late in the day and no food at home and Bacio is closed. So the fancy new prepared food section was the convenient answer given where I was geographically - never again. I did something simple with roasted potatoes kale salad and meatloaf. To cut to the chase I threw all of this "food" away. It was absolutely horrible and I will never shop there again - they absolutely should not be in the deli business and I feel bad having told a fellow late arriver to town that I like Tuscan kale salad as they absolutely ruined this food as did they the rest of what I purchased. I guess I could have just left $10 in a curb somewhere for someone who needed it vs waste the money at Raleys. Do not go there. read more

I have been shopping happily at this store for over 20 years, trading off the higher prices for the ease and ambience. Well, forget all that. The just-completed remodel has ruined the store. The aisles have been narrowed and the products stacked on shelf seemingly randomly--there is no intuitive logic about it that I can see. All the narrow aisles are just straight shots like a warehouse store without the bargain prices. It seems dark in there. Friendly checkers have been replaced with auto check stations and snotty newbies. Whoever designed this makeover can be credited with losing this loyal customer. Also no more full circle brand meat and poultry products. They are selling the makeover as an energy saver, which may account for the dingy lighting. No roof-top solar panels, however, which would have been the choice if they were actually concerned about more than cutting their own immediate costs. I'm grieving the loss but will be sticking to winco, trader joes and S & S. read more
