Very friendly staff and this little market has just about anything you'd need to avoid heading to the grocery store. Very convenient!

i have been a customer for 7 years at this place i believe it was 4 years ago i had my identity…read morestolen a lot of the money spent on my card was at this location. they don't ID to buy anything but i'm 57 the ask to swipe my ID each everytime i go to buy beer for my dad. i would like to think i look under 21 to be ID but I don't look even 30 again i wish but that tells me there using my Idenification for something other than age!! what and why must it be swiped each and everytime as they recognize me know me. again i don't know what all information is on the magnetic strip on the back but they are the only place that asks to swipe my ID is it to see who and where what people buy beer and how much. i had forgot my wallet one day they refused to sell me a 3 pack of beer. really the only law i know about buying beer is you must be 21 the police will take a picture of you're ID but this place will not let a 58 year old man buy a 3 pack after seeing my ID hundreds of times. they say it's law it's not law it's there own policy well i chose to stop buying dads beer there but i stop in for gas at these prices and they won't take a $100 bill. really? i'm done with this company that tries to make up laws and push it onto public when it's just putting my ID out there even more each swipe. if swiping the ID is nessesary then shouldn't it be in there system the next day? i'm sorry i'm pissed at this corporate Bull

Foodmax is one of those stores where you really should only go to if you are a meth addict, gang…read moremember, or just a complete loser of society. That is what shops there, every location I've ever been to but the Oroville location is the worst. My fiance and I moved to Oroville and this is where we went probably the first 2 months, and we never left there without people staring at us, looking like they wanted to Rob us, grab me, harass me or harass both the bus. It was always a very sketchy place to go but then we found Smart & Final just down the road. When we started chatting with some of the employees at Smart & Final and told them we're so happy to find it, they asked where we had been shopping and when we said food max they basically cocked, and said that you two actually stepped foot in foodmaxx?? They were completely in shock we would go to such a grotesque store with such disgusting patrons. Definitely will never step foot in a FoodMaxx again, as long as that smart and final is in oroville. God about two bags more of groceries for the same type of stuff we got our food max for about 50 to $75 cheaper than FoodMaxx as well

YUCKY! This place is huge with a wide selection of items to choose from. I got the rotisserie chicken for 7.99. I also noticed they had good deals on dry food. Great display of deals! Good fresh selection of fruits and vegetables. They also have a bakery along with wine and beer. Hard alcohol also available. The only issue is there was a couple of homeless out front. This is a constant issue in Oroville. I visit here but I live in Nevada County. I went pretty early and it was not crowded. You do bag your groceries which is not a big deal. I will definitely be back because I can see how much money I can save! Special thanks to MARTIN. He was the cashier and he was very friendly and helpful with a great attitude !!

He skips past the screen where you can enter your phone number to get your points, and then lies and tells me that it's "not working" bc he's too lazy to hit the back button or too rushed to let me enter my number. either way, unprofessional. that has happened more than once or twice. I wouldn't have posted this just based on that but..... this time he refuses my coupon that is DIRECTLY from Haagen Dasz. And when I asked why and told him ALL the other stores have taken it, he just ignores me and continues with his cell phone conversation even when I repeated my question he blatantly ignored me for whatever reason, there wasn't even anyone behind me in line. I'll go to the other location in town from now on. screw this one, unless you like being lied to and ignored. then help yourself there's plenty of that, at this place, on graveyard shift anyways, to go around

I was pleasantly surprised to find a well stocked coffee bar and fresh donuts. So had to grab one of Homer's donuts. Lol, I posted a pic of it. Not sure when I'll go back, I'm a creature of habit and my normal morning stop is closer to home. But I would for sure suggest stopping here in the morning if it's on your way to starting your day.
