Want a simple meal they have it! The chicken is always hot, fresh, and crispy. I chose the kids' meal while out running errands, and it was just the right portion. This location had people outside with tablets taking the orders, and they were nice and efficient. The person working the window was friendly. Sometimes simple is best!

If you don't like these chicken fingers, you don't like chicken fingers. They are real chicken (unlike that gross, blended chicken mess that certain places that shall remain nameless put in their "nuggets"), wonderfully fried with a craggy and crisp crust, and served with a sauce so good that they don't have to have other options. You think you want a 3-piece meal, but you are a disgusting glutton who actually wants a 6-piece, AKA the Caniac Combo. It comes with salty, buttery Texas Toast (fantastic), mediocre crinkle cut fries that every place should replace with curly fries (looking at you too Shake Shack), and an insanely large drink that I don't need. I didn't want to explain that so I ordered a club soda, which was a bad move because I got an orange soda instead. I don't understand why I didn't just say, "Don't give me a drink," but this is not the first time I've done something stupid, and it certainly won't be the last.

Man, Canes really fell off. I ordered a 3 strip combo, and got literal nugget sizes almost. There's no way any of these even weigh close to an ounce and a half. What a waste of money. I'd get more protein off pig skins from the gas station, then this joke of a meal. I use to come to this restaurant almost every day to pick up nice tenders on my way home from work. But after a couple visits of sub-par food, I started doing the drive to Cinco Ranch for Lay...(cough) excuse me, I won't mention your rival who at this point, embarrassingly surpasses Canes in service and food quality and (originality.) Hopefully you guys can bring your service and food quality up 100 notches or I think we will see more and more "Caniacs" over in Cinco Ranch... Sorry for the blunt review, but opening this meal, is highly frustrating.

This chicken was made to perfection! Served fresh with LOVE and worth every penny. I'm very picky when it comes to chicken because it's usually all batter. The satisfaction I received from this meal deserves a review! Props to the team and whoever prepared it. Quick, done correctly and delicious! Thank you canes for putting some love and attention into your chicken and my caniac combo!! Thank you to my best friend too who came it clutch and brought it by! Y'all make sure to visit this location and tell me if I'm lying. Will be visiting again soon!

Was greeted coming in. Was struggling with holding Baby and Mariana assisted with getting my drink and bringing me baby high chair, food and utensils/sauces. The food was good, the fries were golden crispy which is good, and the sandwich was really good with the sauce. Good service 4 stars.

We arrived on a Friday around 12:30pm and it was fairly busy. Many of the tables were occupied. The lady at the register was helpful and patient with us as this was our first time. We ordered the chicken tenders, fries, cheese sauce, Italian Beef and Sausage sandwich with sweet peppers, onion rings, and chocolate cake shakes (a must I've heard). Everything was delicious! My husband's beef and sausage sandwich took a little bit of time because they were making it fresh which was much appreciated. The chicken strips were good too. I got the comeback sauce and the Giardiniera sauce and both were really good. The cheese sauce was hot and super tasty. The chocolate cake shakes were delicious. Mr. Black Fine came around to each table to ensure everything was going okay. We told him it was our first time at a Portillo's and he couldn't have been friendlier. He also came around with chocolate cake shake samples, which was awesome. This place is yummy and the vibes were awesome. Can't recommend this location more! I hope to be able to come back if we are ever in the Houston area again.

The biggest surprise was the chili. It was not very good, and had beans in it. I would give the dogs a C-. Next time (if there is one) I would try the burgers.

While visiting family in Houston we were excited to come across a "real" Mexican (as opposed to Tex-Mex...iykyk) taco shop. As soon as you walk in and see the Tijuana and Baja Mexico signs and decor you know you're in the right place. There's an open kitchen, allowing you to watch your carne being grilled on the open-flame grill. That charged meat smell is heavenly! Their guac is chunky and simple (nothing too fancy), hot sauces are tasty (and they have a kick!), tortillas are thin but strong -- holding the goods in just right. It's also nice that they have complimentary tasty, crispy pork rinds -- as opposed to the standard chips & salsa. Portions are ample! They definitely don't skimp on portions -- tons of meat and guac in their tacos and huge, meaty burritos! Prices are fair, especially for what you get! Their dining room is a tad small, but it's very clean and the a/c is good...there's also a nice patio outside. Service was swift and friendly. Food was good. A/C was poppin'. Parking was plentiful. All in all I have to admit that Tacos Frontera comes as close to good San Diego Mexican food as you can get...they would definitely be able to hold their own in San Diego!

The price to food ratio is beyond reasonable, especially when put up against fast food restaurants (or just many restaurants for that matter) and can serve as a second or even third meal (assuming you don't get lost in the flavor) The staff have always been nice, so no complaints there The only complaint is that it can take a while for your order to be made, especially at peak times. Dining in is hard due to the lack of available seating (all first come, first serve), parking is very limited and you may need to park on the other side of the shopping complex. Last I ordered, there doesn't seem to be a clear way to order ahead Regardless, we still come here often and always have enjoyed the food

First, let's talk about the service which is extremely efficient you order at the counter and the weight staff brings out your meal shortly thereafter. The ambience is very plain like a diner very simple but very clean and so if you wanna grab some wonderful Greek food especially a Gyro you'll find no place better at least on the west side of town. The salads are wonderful of which I had a Greek why not I'm in a Greek restaurant but it was chalk full of wonderful, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and had a great dressing. In addition, I had a Gyro, which I really didn't even eat until later that day because the salad alone was filling. The owner happen to be in on this particular day as he often is in his restaurant. I stopped in before an open house nearby, and it ended up being such a highlight of my day. The moment you walk in, it feels like a true family-owned Greek diner--unpretentious, warm, and inviting. Chris, the owner, welcomed me with a big smile and took the time to walk me through the specials, which says a lot about the pride and care behind this place. I ordered the gyro combo and it was next-level. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, stuffed generously with all the classic gyro essentials, and wrapped in warm, soft pita. Every bite was balanced and satisfying. The fries were fresh, hot, and flavorful--not an afterthought at all. And the baklava? Flaky, sweet, and rich without being overpowering--absolutely delicious. Don't skip the house hot sauce--it adds the perfect kick and takes the gyro to another level. This is exactly the kind of locally owned business that makes a neighborhood special. Incredible food, genuine hospitality, and the kind of place you confidently recommend to clients, friends, and anyone who wants to experience the area like a local. I'll definitely be back.
