A canes chicken finger?!

Absolutely terrible experience at this location. When asking for a drink carrier, which they were out of, the staff at the window laughed at us when we asked how we were supposed to transport 5 drinks. This, on top of asking then to fulfill a refunded order from a previous visit, where they forgot to include an entire box combo with my order. Then, this is one of the box combo chicken fingers we received. This place had been great in the past. But this experience has me never wanting to go back to a Cane's establishment again. One of the worst fast food experiences I have ever had in my life.

We have been dying to come try out this new location and it's absolutely gorgeous!! The food came out quick, super hot, and what a great size portion. Service was excellent, friendly, and to the point. Restaurant was insanely clean, packed, and everything was stocked at the drink area. We will definitely be back to this location. We always get the box combo that comes with 4 tenders, fries, toast and a side of Cole slaw with a drink.

Wait time was terrible and they give you a small handful of fries. The chicken was good, so I guess they have that going for it...

My opening day dine-in lunch experience was very good. The box combo tasted great, and was reasonably priced at $7.29, with four tasty, juicy tenders, cole slaw, delicious fries, Texas toast, and a drink. The service was fast, and the dining room was clean and new. This location has a patio, and a drive-thru. I wish they offered a variety of sauces (including BBQ), but otherwise very nice!

i've been craving canes for months, and when we finally came to a state that had a location i had to visit. honestly the food was out of this world which may be weird to say for a fast food place , but the quality was better then the location in california. it came out freshly hot which made it taste 100 times better. the front desk employee was so sweet and overall was a nice experience. my craving was met lol restaurant was well kept. only small thing was there was a small hair that we found in the fries. it doesn't bother me too much but looking at the reviews it does seem to be a common issue hence the four stars. other than that this location is well kept

Half the size of any tender I've ever had.

If you want decent sized, juicy, flavorful chicken strips...then go somewhere else. I rarely eat fast food, but was out running errands later than expected and tummy was growling. It was my first time at a Cane's, and was surprised at how tiny, gristly, greasy and flavorless these strips were. There are officially the worst "tenders" I've ever had.

Food was fine. However, when drinking my lemonade, I opened up the lid to eat the ice and almost lost my lunch. There was a giant hair in my cup. First of all, I can't even stand swimming in public pools and feeling someone else's hair touch me. I can't explain the disgust of finding one in my drink... the drink I had already finished. Who knows if I drank some of it!! Secondly, with the threat of COVID-19 going around, companies that are open are supposed to be even more strict with their cleanliness... I'm really grossed out by this.

After finding one hair, removed the rest of the food to find more. How nice.

Usually all canes locations are good but went around noon on a Monday and my food was ice cold and had multiple hairs inside the box.

There's plenty of bright decor, neon signs, and TVs all around playing everything from live sports to K-Pop music videos! Upon request, our wonderful waitress walked us first-timers through the menu and made some recommendations (spoiler: all were fantastic!). We nabbed a couple appetizers - fries and mac and cheese - and ordered two half chicken servings: one thigh meat, one breast meat. With the chicken we tried four different sauces, and all were fantastic! Our favorites were the spicy sweet chili and the glazed honey soy! The chicken is perfectly fried - super crispy, but still moist meat! They know how to fry up a mean chicken here! We crushed ALL the food, and it was a perfect amount for four hungry people! Although the menu set expectations of the chicken being made fresh and taking up to 20 minutes to cook and arrive, ours arrived much quicker! Props to the cook for the prompt service! Also, I have to say that the value here is outstanding! A FULL family of four for less than $60 is headlining news these days! I guarantee we will be back often to 1981 K Chicken! So like Joe K said, it's great to see more Korean chicken places in the Kansas City area. (S)KFC is…read moreamazing - the crispness of the chicken, the fantastic sauces. It's special. I'm excited just thinking about it. But oh man was I hoping for better. And I think this place could get there, if they can change some things. Joyce and Brandy laid it out well, so I'll just echo some main points: - The food could be better. Apparently it has been before. What I saw felt pretty low effort, the crispiness wasn't there. (South) Korean Fried Chicken is amazing because even with those delicious sauces, the chicken stays crispy. Best of both worlds! These wings were soggy. I didn't feel great after eating the meal. It wasn't ideal. - The service was nonexistent. I came up to the human at the counter, who directed me not to talk to her but to put in my order on the screen to the side. I hate these. I hate them so much. The UX on the terminal was clunky, the navigation in particular was so bad that there were whole sections of the menu that seemed to be missing. I now know to swipe left on the headers to scroll right to a second page of root-level categories, but be honest, just reading that in a sentence is confusing and annoying. Some people may like kiosks. That's fine! But mandating them is awkward and obnoxious. - I'm still on the service. There's a big menu. There are paper menus. There are little signs advertising fun looking items. I already know what I want. It is so much easier and more enjoyable to order with a real human and get their help. Why put the added friction of learning a clunky interface? An employee would be fluent in the system even if it's bad. And if my case is any indication, it's not helping their sales. I would totally have ordered more dishes if I'd known that was an option. It just looked like they were out so it wasn't available. - After putting in the order, I was prompted for a tip for the service. Which just felt like a coup de grace to my psyche. - It felt like there was no heart here. That's probably an ownership issue. I'm sympathetic to a point, it's not easy in general and there's a lot of pressure to cut costs (especially with the tariff arsonist disrupting supply chains). But the vibe here was dismal, you could feel it in the food and the staff. The space itself seems set up well to have large groups and good times. Could be a fun spot. But right now, the impression I get is that aside from the wings the kitchen does a lot of prepackaged instant food. So I'm not sure what they're trying to be - a decent wing place, or more of a fast-food/gas station type of spot. A vending machine with a deep fryer. Like I said before, this place has potential to be great if they can change some things. They're just going to have to want to. I'm rooting for them.

Overall - fun and quirky environment with lots of yummy food options…read more Menu: EXTENSIVE menu with lots of options to choose from... to the point that it can get a lil overwhelming. Thankfully most items have a reference picture so it was easier to gauge what you're getting, which I appreciated. I'd recommend getting the Honky Tonky (with bbq sauce on the side) bc it was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Other burgers were good too (not all were shown n some I forgot the names), so high chance they'll turn out good. Appetizers id recommend (not shown) is the Spare Parts Appetizer that lets you sample a lot. Several were good like the jalapeños n cheese curds. As for the price and portion though, I don't think it was that worth it.... The burgers aren't that big compared to other places and the fries portion was kinda small too. So for the price of $20 after tax, just not worth it. Yummy but I could always get burgers somewhere else too. Atmosphere: if you're into cars, bikes, all the edgy garage and western decor, you'll like this place. It was fun to look around and see how this place was decorated. It can be a lot though. In terms of space wise, lots of rooms and tables around. We had a party of 11 and were thankfully able to make it work on a busy day. Service: our server was chill and patient with us. Felt like our burgers came out at a reasonable timeframe. Summary: was good and even though yummy, probably more of a 1 visit every few months bc the portion to price ratio isnt it imo :( especially if I can get burgers and fries in bigger (n refillable) elsewhere. Would highly recommend trying though!!
