It was really good: the cheese sauce, pickles, meat and bun were really good - even if it was room temp (by the time the burger arrived it wasn't HOT). This Slap Burger has a giant flatscreen, which does not seem setup for the World Cup only and seems great for a change of atmosphere one ordinarily would expect at a fast food burger spot. The menu is a little different for me and not altogether easy to interpret the way it is laid out. So I asked the young woman at the register to place an order for a double cheeseburger with bacon and everything on it to simplify it, along with an order of fries and their C&C cola. The taste of the burger was nothing extraordinary in my opinion, especially in a City with so many choice and highly competitive burger offerings. This was like so many smashed burgers that are all the rage these days. I have not been generally impressed by smashed burgers, so this review is admittedly biased. This offered little to no caramelized edges, which would be one of the big positives for a smashed burger. The slap sauce, which seems to be mustard and mayo with finely minced and blended relish as best I can tell, did not make the case either. The slap sauce was good, but it did not cause me to write home about it. They definitely give you bacon to justify the upcharge, but the cheese was lost in the slap sauce. The fries had a nice fluffy interior, but were not that crispy outside. The fries were good, but ketchup is needed. The C&C cola was quite good. This is a clean location with good service and no real negatives. People of all walks were walking in. It's popular. For $18 and change cash, it's a decent value, especially if you have children. If you have a mature palate looking for the best burger experience, this is not it. 3.3 stars

Second time coming here after a span of four years. They definitely made a lot of changes here with…read morethe menu, staff, prices and hookah lounge. The decorations are beautiful, restrooms are clean and the seating places are very comfortable. I had a very positive experience with the food as well. After an intense workout I came here and got the Barbecue Chicken Bowl. It was super loaded with bbq sauce, chicken, onions and fresh avocados. Presentations and taste was absolutely spot on. Half way through the bowl I started getting full but I completed it anyway. My wife got the BBQ chicken pizza, presentation top notch and super delicious also. She couldn't finish it so we took it in the box. Strawberry lemonade was amazing but Mango lemonade was just okay. Got the strawberry cheesecake and chocolate cake for later. Overall I am very impressed by this place only thing is it's super pricey. They do tell you under the menu that 20% service charge will be added to the receipt. So gratuity plus sales tax bumped it to $92 plus. That was the only downside this place that it is super expensive.

I am happy to say that this place is still around and just realized it's been 10 years to the day…read moretoday that I'm writing another review for them! (Yikes a long time for me, but so awesome that they've been around for so long!). I came here late night tonight on a dessert search after another place canceled my order after I arrived... My House to the rescue and, even better, they had a dessert my husband loves and we don't often get - a homemade magnolia banana cream pudding with nilla wafers and bananas! So delicious and I was also blessed to try the Dubai chocolate that they also have specially made for them :) The place has grown in the last 10 years and they have both an outdoor area as well as a back area for drinks and hookah. This evening they had a lovely firelogs background playing on the 2 TVs and it was a nice and cozy space for a date night or a chill spot with friends. The interior is clean and was nicely decorated for the holidays and the girls behind the counter were super sweet! I got a chance to see the owner again, whom I met way back when and it was so lovely speaking with him! My husband and I really enjoyed meeting him and seeing how much he cares. He really stands behind his products and today seeing him again, nothing has changed and I see why they're still going strong. I will definitely be back and recommendy House Burgers and Shakes! :)

Brooklyn Beef and Cheese food truck by the Staten Island Costco is definitely worth checking out!…read moreI've been there twice now and both times the food was excellent. The first time I had the Vodka Parm, and it was absolutely awesome -- packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. It was so good that I knew I had to come back. On my second visit, I tried the Roast Beef with Mozzarella, and that was very good too. The roast beef was tender, the mozzarella was perfect, and everything tasted fresh. Two visits, two great meals. Great food, generous portions, and definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to. If you're near Costco on Staten Island, give Brooklyn Beef and Cheese a try!

It's a small place with window seating so you may want to order to go. I ordered the classic cheese steak sandwich and it was delicious. The bread has a garlic butter spread, the steak is of high quality (far better than anything from the local bodega), and the cheese and onions bring it all together. Bay Ridge continues its steep decline in the food scene with this cheesesteak wannabe restaurant…read more I have been to Philadelphia and had my fair share of cheesesteaks there. Some really good, some not so good, most somewhere in between. This one falls closer to the second option, and not just because this cash only joint (boo...) charges $13 for one, and it is pretty small. For an extra $9, you get fries and a drink. I took the deal, not realizing the fries are your traditional "bowling alley fries". I took one bite and threw the rest away. $9 extra wasted away. As for the steak itself, it is quite hit or miss. They also try to jazz it up to the point where it can be completely unrecognizable if you wish. No thanks. A good steak is just ribeye steak and a choice of three cheeses, Cheez Whiz, White American, or Provolone. Stop the nonsense with Yellow American. Also, the roll should be strictly Amoroso. I did not see that here. I already deduct two stars for lack of authenticity. The final star deduction comes in the form of an inconsistent steak. Throughout the experience, I was getting different bites each time I took a bite. Some bites were really good, others were flat. The steak is also cooked with far too much salt for my liking. I also felt the customer service was flat too. There was no knowledge of the menu items except for the sesame roll. The roll is also too chewy for this kind of sandwich. They also serve pizza, but it does not make any sense to me why. Honestly, it did not look good in the display case when I saw it. I am taking it off my favorites and will not be returning. Not every cheesesteak has to be a John's Roast Pork or a Tony Luke's, but a little more effort could put this little hole in the wall joint in Bay Ridge closer to them.
