I'm fairly new to Canes but think they have the best chicken strips in the business. So why only three stars? Because 2 of the strips in my Caniac Combo were undercooked. Besides that, I enjoyed the others and also liked the fries and Texas toast. Very clean with awesome decorations and great seating options both inside and out. I would totally give a 5-star review if the chicken was better, it was rubbery but smelled and tasted good. I personally don't like or eat at canes, I always have a problem/issue when I come here. but my wife does On Tuesday September 2 at 3:31 pm at the canes located in Waldorf. Yes the line appeared long when we first approached the drive through. The young lady that took our order was very friendly and quickly put our order in. The line moved pretty fast. We went straight home and ate. The tenders were hot and fresh! The chicken tender sandwich was also hot and fresh. I enjoyed the dipping sauce. I did use some bbq sauce from home (chick-fil-a), which I wish they had some as an option. I will definitely be back for a quick bite! The fresh squeezed lemonade and sweet tea were also good. Pretty good chicken spot Interesting sauce They have a two lane drive thru which is a plus when they are busy I came there at a busy time but it took me 15 minutes to order and get my food. Customer service was pretty good. I initially came across Raising Cane's when in the area. Overall, it wasn't bad! The menu is centered around 4 things: chicken tenders, fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. They have a special sauce (Cane sauce) that's included. Each meal is a combo and comes with a drink. It's a pretty good deal. The only thing I liked was the tenders but I'd still go back for that. They aren't salty, which for me is a plus! Fries are crinkle cut and get soggy quickly and I'm not a fan of coleslaw or toast, LOL. I still say give it a try though. Service was friendly and mostly fast. There's only a small parking lot as most people go through the drive-thru so keep that in mind. Give it a try and see what you think! Well I finally had time to stop by Cane's after all the hoopla died down.. One the first things that jump out to me was the Sweet Tea/Lemonade mix.. I was surprised it was blended very well. Not too sweet, not too bland..However, the chicken fingers were meaty but not crispy or seasoned well enough for my liking. The fries taste better than they looked even though they looked the fries in freezer section from your local grocery store. My toasted bread seemed to rushed out of the toaster too early and it was luke-warm too.. Also, the dipping sauce that everyone was hyping is pretty good but to me seems like it goes better Crabs and Shrimp not Chicken Fingers and Fries! First time coming here, and I'm impressed. While having a very simple menu, the food here is excellent. Tastes great, and comes out in a VERY quick amount of time. Friendly staff here also make you feel welcome. The entire restaurant and the restrooms are also very clean, showing that this place has good upkeep. I think this place is all hype and no substance. I don't really like to do critical reviews but... I gotta be honest... The restaurant looks nice but all they sell is chicken strips. Their combos is basically want three strips... four strips... six strips... want a side of fries... it's crinkle fries. Their garlic bread is just a lightly toasted white bread with very little flavor. Shit... they got a chicken sandwich but it's three chicken strips between a burger bun. It's the type of shit if I knew better, I'd just be like "no kids... we have chicken strips and crinkle fries at home". Last week, I got my daughter chicken strips from smash burger... and my daughter pointed out that those were better and my only though was "she's not wrong". My second thought was that a burger place that specializes in burger and pretend burgers made out of plants does chicken fingers better than a place that solely sells chicken fingers and nothing but chicken fingers. I went to raising cabins to day and paid $50 for three meals. Got home and we started eating and my son found a long black hair in his food. If I didn't live all the way in Upper Marlboro I would have returned to store. Needless to say that ruined our appetites and the food went into the trash. The staff there needs to wear hair nets and gloves when working around food. So I want everyone to be aware to check you food before leaving because the prices are already ridiculous for those little chicken fingers and to have to throw it in the trash because cleanliness is not a priority at this establishment. It seems whenever I go inside I receive what I consider an adequate portion of food and when I go to the drive-through window, it's like a kids meal on this particular visit, I decided to look into my box to see yet again a kids portion meal, so I went inside, showed the gentleman the order and he agreed that it wasn't OK. He said, can you wait until we prepare another order which I did only to receive the same portion and less fries than I already had I then asked to speak to the manager and he refused to come out stating he was busy and I need to leave the restaurant. This was absolutely unacceptable! When do you go to a restaurant and if you have to speak to management, they won't speak to you. I say stay away from Raising Cane's for the price and the portion sizes they have gone too, is not worth it. You almost need to go buy another meal after you've gotten something from them. I could tell they were doing closing work so I actually feel bad for going in so close to closing time but they were so nice regardless and very quick to getting my food to me, even better, it was fully cooked! The first day open and cars were in line all the way to the other side of the shopping mall waiting for drive through. Even the line for dine in was outside the building. Once we got in there were plenty of open tables though and we found a place to rest. They played some epic songs, three disco balls spun on the ceiling as we waited for our food. Plenty of workers were on shift making the grand opening successful. Nice to see them honor emergency workers and military with a discount. Our order came out missing one meal but they soon sent it out. Everything tasted great, chicken tenders were tender, crinkle cut fries crunched, and the sweet tea sweetened the deal. With 705 locations that average annual sales of $5.4 million per store, this L.L.C. juggernaut will suck up sales from other fast food places in the area! So, I had to see what made them grow so fast in average sales and locations. Their only entree is chicken fingers. They have 4 combo meals, one is a kid's meal. The meals come with a drink and sides. They have 3 side dishes: fries, coleslaw, and Texas toast. You can substitute the sides. The restaurant chain is named after Founder Todd Graves' yellow Labrador, Raising Cane. He originally planned to call it Sockeye's, the salmon he fished in Alaska to earn enough money to start his first restaurant. A friend got him to change his mind. My wife and I shared The Caniac Combo. It had the following. 1) 6 chicken fingers. It was strips of white meat chicken filets with lightly battered crispy coatings. The chicken was tender and moist with a light chicken flavor. It had no marinade flavor. The coating tasted like a light Popeyes chicken batter coating with no greasy flavor. This chicken was great in every way except for the weak chicken flavor. As it is, the dipping sauce has to make up for this deficit. TIP: Let the steam out of the container as soon as possible. If you don't, your coating will be soggy. 2) Crinkle cut fries. They contain potatoes, vegetable oil, and salt. They were slightly crisp and lightly salted. They were not oily and tasted typical. McDonald's uses beef flavor, dextrose (a type of sugar), and salt on their fries. That's why they're tasty. 3) 2 Cane's sauce in 1.5 oz cups. It is mayonnaise based with Worcestershire sauce, Heinz ketchup, garlic, and black pepper. It tasted like spicy ranch dressing with a touch of vinegary ketchup. Heinz is too vinegary. They should use a different ketchup. Decent tasting but not savory. 4) Texas toast. It was supposed to have butter and garlic. It was barely grilled and had no butter or garlic. The bread was soft, moist, and tasted like Wonder bread. 5) Coleslaw. It had green cabbage, red cabbage, and carrots. The dressing was a slightly sweet mayonnaise with a touch of vinegar and salt. The dressing was a little too thin. Overall, it had a good blend of flavors to make it satisfying. 6) Unsweetened iced tea. It was 32 oz and refillable. The black tea was moderate in strength, smooth, and had no bitterness or dry mouth aftertaste. Excellent! The service was polite, responsive, and helpful. It took 9 minutes to get our food. That's very quick! But, I would rather have waited so they could make the Texas toast properly. The dining room and restrooms were clean. They are located in a stand-alone store in the parking lot of Charles County Plaza Shopping Center. Parking is free. The food, service, and ambiance rate 3.5 stars. This was a first visit, so I gave some leeway. I don't see the reason for their incredible growth. read more

You can sit inside or outside, the choice is yours. Very clean on the inside so I have to give them their props. Service (4.5 Stars) I didn't wait to long considering the long lines of cars on the outside and there were a few people in the inside in front of me. I was greeted with a smile and the food came out not long. Food (3 Stars) they specialize in Chicken tenders, that's it. Now my food was definitely made fresh. I give them that, but the chicken tenders were bland, then I used the sauce and the sauce is good. If you need a sauce to cover for the taste then it's not good lol. The fries were very thin and the bread was good. Had lunch with the family today at Raising Cane and everything was great! We decided to go on a Tuesday when they first open at 10am. The restaurant is clean, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and the service was awesome. The food was hot and fresh. The chicken tenders were crispy and tender. The crinkly fries were yummy too. Not your average crinkle cut... they were more like crinkle shoestring fries! Other than tenders, they offer chicken sandwiches. All things are fried... so no healthier options like grilled or salads. We dined outside since it was a nice day. From our experience, we will be back. I guess they were "healthier" since it didn't taste drenched in oil or overly salty, so maybe that's a good thing for you. Sauce was good, but you only get a small cup and costs extra for more. My daughter and I went to this location on 06/10 and it didn't disappoint. I'm not too much of a chicken person but she is. We both don't really like crowds so we didn't want to sit around. It was pretty packed, but once we got back in the car we tried the tenders and overall we both give it a thumbs up. I don't like salty foods or fried food but these were surprisingly tasty and the sauce is on par with Chic-Fil-A and PDQ's. Service wise I have to spotlight Miriam. Every time we go, anywhere in the country, canes seems to only toast the one side correctly.
