Prior to covid it was okay right after covid it was okay it never was really great. This is the place where if everything was full and you pulled in the park you went and had a little dinner said all right screw it this will work for tonight I haven't had a meal here probably in a little over a year I got stuck over here for the night and went in and had a fish dinner which was excellent. I noticed one thing it's very clean the staff is doing a great job the cooks are very good at this one now therefore I'm giving it more than the average three stars. My first dinner was the grilled white fish Alaskan and I had a Cajun seasoned. The baked potato was a little later in the day so it wasn't super soft but it wasn't hard it was good. And I had corn I need to add some butter though it had no flavor. that was a very good meal The next morning I thought you know what let's go and try the day shift see how the breakfast is and it was fantastic. French toast was cooked perfectly I told him to go light on the powdered sugar they barely dusted it like I like. Had the Smuckers sugar-free syrup. I went with the healthier option like I do at TA and Petro restaurants I did the healthy turkey sausage. And an egg soft scrambled Everything really good again decided to drop a review for this one now. Keep up the good work unfortunately the actual TA travel Center leaves a little less to be desired they'll be in review later on but it is what it is. It's never really been great and it still isn't LOL. But the country pride is doing a great job

Solid diner kind of place. We went for breakfast and had the simple breakfast. Eggs, hash browns,…read morebacon and 2 pancakes. Eggs were cooked to my taste ( not runny). The pancakes could have been a little lighter and fluffier but for a diner I was satisfied. Service was good and the waitress was personable. Food came out timely and the food was still hot. As far as ambiance, it is a diner in a truck stop, what else can I say about that?

I originally tried to order a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, but they were out of both bacon and eggs. I then asked for a ham biscuit, and they were out of ham as well. I ended up settling for a sausage biscuit with Bo-Rounds, but it took over 15 minutes just to receive the Bo-Rounds. I also ordered a 2-piece leg and thigh combo for my girlfriend, only to find out they were out of that too. We had to switch the order to a Cajun Filet Biscuit, which took another 5 minutes. On top of that, they were out of sweet tea and didn't have Bo-Berry Biscuits either. After finally getting our food, I realized they had forgotten my second order of Bo-Rounds. I had to go back through the drive-thru to get it corrected. The only positive part of the experience was the manager (or the employee who appeared to be the manager). He was extremely polite, apologized for everything, and refunded the missing Bo-Rounds without any hassle. His professionalism was the only reason I'm giving this place even one star. Being out of this many menu items at once, combined with the long wait times and incomplete order, made for a very frustrating experience. I understand that things happen, but running out of so many basic items and still taking such a long time to serve customers is unacceptable. I hope management addresses these issues because the staff member who helped me deserved much better support than what the restaurant was providing.

The Clock has been here for over forty years. Longer than most marriages. Longer, certainly, than…read morethe one my parents had, which lasted closer to thirty years and ended, according to my father, because of a disagreement about a sectional sofa. As I pull into the parking lot, I think about how a place that has lasted this long makes everything else in town look a little "new." Inside, regulars shake hands across the dining room like it's Sunday after church. I can't keep a houseplant alive for six months, and these people have been coming back to this same place, to order the same food, for years. Chili cheeseburger after chili cheeseburger, building something between community and cardiology. Maybe that's loyalty. Maybe I'm just projecting. I look at the burger for a second before I eat it, the patty, the chili, the cheese, maybe onions, stacked up like it's been doing this exact thing since before I was born. It is genuinely, embarrassingly good, in the way things are good when they haven't been overthought. And it was delicious in spite of health value. If you're eating at The Clock for health value, I direct you to the salads with prejudice. The menu runs from salads, to tacos, to hot dogs to a meat and three (or for those in Greer, a meat and four), which is not a range you encounter often in a single establishment. It is the culinary equivalent of a man who says he can fix anything. You are skeptical, and then you watch him fix the thing, and you don't know whether to be impressed or slightly ashamed of your own limitations. Ask anyone around town and they'll tell you about roller skating car hops, late night gatherings after high school games, real ice cream milkshakes. Those stories aren't really about the food. They're about who they were when they ate it. I order the sweet tea. It arrives cold and correct. I'm certain my dentist has a handshake agreement with Jimmy that both will keep each other in business a long time. I will come back here, but not as often as I should. We all have our faults. The Clock has few.
