What else: Not as good as the ones in NC This is what I do every time I'm in the Carolinas, or Virginia for that matter. It's the best fast food in the country, rivaled only by Swensons in Ohio, and specifically the Galley Boy. Basically, fast food sucks, is disappointing, is gross, is mediocre at best. Cook Out breaks that mold and redresses that balance. The Cajun Chicken sandwich is simply heaven. It's grilled chicken, smoky, luscious, brilliantly done, and cheap af. The burgers here are juicy and excellent and backyard style. The shakes here are heaven. Some of the best milkshakes anywhere, and some of the cheapest! Around $2.50. The Fresh Banana is the best of all. And don't miss the Sweet Tea either. A lot of the rest of the menu is sh**, but when those items are that good, and it's all that incredibly cheap... not to mention open for most of the night until the small hours... you're going to get a 5 star rating from me. Unfortunately some of these new ones don't make their stuff quite as well as the original NC locations do, but it's still well worth trying. And besides, they didn't give me any hassle when I fell asleep for 6 hours in their parking lot, so massive credit to them for being awesome cool guys.
