The salespeople were dismissive when I pointed that the one they selected didn't look like the one I was replacing, and they didn't ask any questions about brands or model numbers. When I came back because of the difficulties resulting from the inaccurate instructions, they sold me pliers I wouldn't have needed if I had been given the proper part. When I came back a third time, they were defensive instead of apologetic for selling me an incompatible part and wouldn't accept a return for the pliers I would never have bought but for their misinformation. I would have been better off consulting Google, which found the proper part. Notably, their response here is based on lies or someone else's experience. Completely untrue. I hadn't picked a model on my own, they didn't stop me from buying a model, and they weren't misled by photos since I brought in the broken part. I relied solely on them, to my detriment. The only true statement is that their return policy is clearly posted. Their customer service is abysmal, and they lie about you if you post an honest and accurate review. As a result they have lost long-term customers. We will never return.

When I told the guy why I needed them, he agreed (without me asking) to loan me the store's bolt cutters. Didn't ask for ID or collateral- just said bring them back when you're done. They knew me as a regular customer but still- this was above and beyond. Most stores would have taken the money. These guys instead saw an opportunity to do something helpful for a regular customer. The box was closed with two strips of tape and they refused to open it up for me because they said it was their policy that if the box was open, I would have to buy it and could not return it. Neither of them could find the measurements on the box or anywhere else. I asked whether since they worked in a hardware store, they might be able to figure out how to put two more strips of tape back on the box if I ended up not purchasing the item.
