I'm giving this location 5 stars because they have a very large supply for all ages of what I'd call flip flops. And their staff was very helpful in helping us find sandals for our grandkids in another state. I have never liked flip flops myself, they have never been comfortable to me. But I'm not going to hold my personal preference against this wonderful store. Their prices are comparable to other places that sell this brand. What you get by going to the store is vast selection. And if you're coming from out of town like we are why not visit the area as well and have a nice lunch somewhere. It's a beautiful area to enjoy. read more

Just orders a new pair of The Cloud single layer! This is my 10th pair, I have the old pair of Luxury Leather not my favorite. The black rubber are my go to. The new pair is TERRIBLE, they have cheap feel and are 3/4 inch shorter then my old ones! (See Picture). Had made in China sticker, i usually buy from outlet in San Clemente but ordered online! It's not very far from the freeway and is right off a main street! They have a small lot (which is usually full) but you can also park on the street. The store is small, but packed with all types of sandals...from toddler to adult sizes...from single layer to wedges! The aisles aren't big so you will find yourself having to squeeze by people as you pass. The staff has always been friendly and helpful each time I've been there. Last but not least, pre-covid, you could also exchange your old worn Rainbow sandals for 10% off your next purchase. Not sure when they will bring that back. Great sandals expensive af but warranty is crap. Please don't believe them they have a lot of exceptions that don't explain to you when you buy but will use them to deny your claim. My rainbows started to flap a few months of wearing them and I didn't have a chance to go to the store because I live in Westminster and they are not convenient unless I'm heading to San Diego for some reason. Been wearing them because the flapping of the sole isn't too bad, but I guess that if you wear it past a certain point, and I literally pass this point by less than a centimeter. Something that wasn't explained to me when I bought them but how great the lifetime warranty is. Also the wear is only a small section cause I have an uneven wear during my walk, they said we can't help you. It has voided the warranty. Unfortunately another once great California company falling by the wayside. Lately every pair of sandals I buy here fall apart. Not from overuse either. My latest was a one month old pair of sandals coming unglued (much like the company). I returned them at which point they should have just offered another pair if they even remotely cared at all about their customers. The guy at registered said they'd re-glue them (not sure I have much faith in that) and ship them back to me. Now here we are two months later without a word. I tried to call customer service but I just keep getting the endless loop of being put on hold. I will probably have to make another trip down (with traffic here that's a whole day lost) and talk to them personally. Regardless of whether or not I ever get my sandals back or a replacement, I will never buy another pair of these now (shitty) sandals. Half of them are made in China now. It pains me to do this because I previously spend thousands of $ on Rainbow Sandals but as other reviewers have mentioned the quality of their product has decreased and what took me for surprise was the rudeness of the staff dealing with it. My understanding is that the glued parts of the sandals is under warranty so when the 2 layers came apart I took it in and they replied it. Within 5 wears it came apart again because they barely put any glue. I took them back and this time when I picked them up I showed the rep who's name is Sisco (I assume short for Francisco) that there is barely any glue and they'll come apart right away. His response was that they did me a favor even glueing them because they are only guaranteed for 6 months. That's not my understanding of their warranty. You can do better Rainbow Sandals. read more

We can speculate what we want, all I know is I walked right out of the pair I was wearing and got in the car. Mine have lasted 1.5 years and are still going strong! I made the mistake of stopping by here last weekend, but they're closed for the holidays until early January. We have our calendars circled! I was an avid Rainbow sandal wearer back in high school and college and had the same 3 pair for years. My sister wanted to purchase a pair so we decided to go to the outlet for the first time. We didn't know what to expect, but it was fairly easy to find. It was located in its own building and had its own designated parking. When you go in they have a basket for you to donate old used sandals by the register. As you walk in further they have rows of sandals available for you to choose from. Tl;dr: Don't buy the moccasins. We went to rainbow sandles in October and my wife bought a pair of moccasins. She loves them and wore them as her inside the house shoes. In December the sole of the shoe cracked along the thread design. We looked at the website and noted they had a 6 month warranty. The process to exchange them was easy and she received her shoes within a month. She wore them again inside the house and they cracked again, but this time it's most likely out warranty. PRO TIP: If you message them on Facebook and ask for their hours for that upcoming week or weekend, they respond very quickly. To the left of the entrance they set up a big clearance sale section for some select sizes and styles. I couldn't believe how dog-friendly they are. It is too cute that they put out a water bowl for your fur baby. Rainbow Sandals are pretty great and I am so happy I got to see this place in person for the first time yesterday. How can you hate on flip flops that last a loooooong time?! There are SO many options; good luck picking. This used to be a place where you could find great bargains. However, the only real deals are now on the random colors that are clearly extra inventory. Otherwise, it's almost the same as online purchasing if you don't get free shipping. Nevertheless, this is a staple and it's a great feeling to pull up to that giant sandal. If you're lucky, they'll have some popcorn in that old school popper of theirs. The service overall is the best. On to the sandals themselves- they last forever and are he most comfortable sandals you will EVER wear! Ok fine, crocs might be on par in terms of comfort but these are clearly way more fashionable. The leather is absolutely worth the investment but does take a little bit to break in so be prepared! They'll stretch out and start molding to your feet. Not to the extent that Birkenstocks do, but definitely a good medium. The classic is the single layer and it'll never go out of style! Easily the best place to pick up rainbow sandals as the selection is amazing here. But besides this store having an assortment of styles, the staff here is super amazing. We were warmly greeted upon entering into the store with candy and popcorn (couple days before Halloween so of course they had some candy out) and went in to start browsing. I personally like the simplicity of the single layer rainbows and started looking for a pair. I eventually found a pair that was brown in color but had blue stitching and a blue leather layer in the sandal itself. For 41 bucks after trading in my old worn out rainbow sandals this was a complete deal to get a new pair! Although I have wide feet, rainbows tend to break in and form to my feet without an issue. My last pair has held up since 2012, so I'll continue to stay a rainbow fan. read more

However, if de-lamination occurs; it will have to be without the sandals being used. Why? Because Rainbow defaults to cracking (breaking in) as voiding the warranty. It is inevitable that if you are wearing the sandals, cracking and discoloration will occur. Just hope that delaminating does not at the same time. Never again will I buy from a company with car dealer sales double talk as their so-called warranty. read more

Parking: there are free parking spots right in front of the store. We lucked out and were able to get one of those spots when we stopped by on a Sunday around 1:30PM. Otherwise, I'm sure there's street parking nearby. I didn't get a good look around. Store: the store is well organized with a female section, male section, and kids section. The sections are organized by style, and at each section, the sandals were organized by size and strap thickness (if applicable). Signage was super helpful and already included tax! So you know exactly how much you're spending. In the woman's section, there was a sample on the floor to try on a small vs a medium. The store also offers 10% if you donate your old (still wearable) rainbows. The sandals: my last pair of rainbows were bought 7 years ago! I was due for a new pair. The sandals are extremelyyy uncomfortable and stiff at first, but are the most comfortable once they're broken in. Sizing is small, medium, large, XL- which kinda sucks. I'm typically a 6.5/7 in shoes and I got a medium, but there's some extra space in the back/they don't feel like they're 100% my size. And the smalls were too small. Something to take into consideration.. BUT they're still my favorite pair of sandals! And at such a great price at this outlet :-) read more

It's so sad what has happened to this company. My first pair of rainbows lasted a decade before my foot started touching the ground, but, the most recent pair fell apart just after I broke them in. Maybe 1 year. Since that first pair, the quality has gotten progressively worse and the warranty less and less comprehensive. I imagine the old man who created those original indestructible flops is tired and depressed watching his legacy disintegrate with each new cost cutting "improvement."
