I wish I can give 0 star here. Especially for the male employee wearing a hat and mustache. I am very disappointed with my experience at this Rip Curl store. When I purchased my child's wetsuit a year ago, an female employee told me I could bring it back with the receipt when buying a new one and receive a $20 store credit, with no time limit. When I purchased another wetsuit in 2026, a second employee confirmed the same thing. Today, I brought the old wetsuit and receipt to the store, but the male employee wearing a hat and mustache was impatient and dismissive. He repeatedly talked about the 30-day return and exchange policy, even though I clearly explained that I was asking about a trade-in, not a return. What made this experience even worse was the male employee's attitude. His impatient facial expressions and dismissive tone made me feel as though he believed I was trying to scam the store, even though I had the original receipt and was simply asking the store to honor what its own employees had told me. Customer service requires basic patience, courtesy, and respect. Employees should listen to customers before repeatedly giving irrelevant information and making them feel unwelcome. I will not return to this location. There are many other wetsuit brands and retailers offering products at similar prices. There is no reason for me to continue spending money at a store where employees make promises they will not honor and customers are treated with such disrespect. read more

I found this place on tik tok, and decided to try it. I loved it. There are pieces for men, women, and kids. My daughter found tons of bathing suits for our beach trip and my son found some "cool" shirts. Everything is at a discounted price and there is a very large selection to choose from. read more

Wish I had gotten more pictures, but this place is very nice! The staff was friendly, and there were so many options of literally everything. There are swimsuits, pants, jackets, surf goods, etc. ALL for very cheap. Glad I stopped by before my Hawaii trip read more

Was in the area and stopped in to this big Wherehouse . It was packed with lots of board shorts, swimsuits, hats, shirts, jackets, bags, hoodies, snowboarding pants and jackets, flip flops, wetsuits, they got it all! Everything is mostly 50% off. Markdowns are fair and I got a few items for a great price. Come in and check it out. They will be having up to 70% on Black Friday weekend. read more

I could not enjoy my shopping because that black metal or death metal music whatever you wanna call it was blaring and I could not stand it so I had to leave. Shopping for clothes should be a pleasant experience and this was not pleasant by any means. read more

This place is awesome. Discounted wetsuits, bathing suits, t shirts, hoodies, sandals, hats. Service was great because I wasn't sure what I was looking for in a wetsuit and they answered all my questions. Very happy with my experience here read more

Great selection at a decent prices. Love Rip Curl products. Sales people were helpful

Disappointing Experience with Store Manager. I've always liked Rip Curl products, but my experience at the Santa Ana outlet was extremely disappointing--mainly due to how the store manager, Vicky, handled a very simple exchange. We came in to exchange wetsuits we had purchased earlier that same day. At the time of purchase, we were told it would be fine to try them on at home and exchange them as long as they hadn't been in the water. But when we returned, Vicky was petty, rigid, and dismissive from the start. She even critiqued us for trying on a 3/2 vs. a 4/3, which made no sense--we were just trying to get the right fit. When we asked to speak with her regional manager, she refused to provide any contact or next steps. Then she made an unnecessary comment suggesting we might not be welcome to shop there in the future. When we asked her to clarify what she meant, she immediately backtracked and denied saying it. The entire tone of the interaction was unprofessional, condescending, and frustrating. As someone who worked in retail for over four years, I was really disappointed by how this was handled. Vicky's tone, attitude, and lack of basic customer service made what should've been a quick and easy exchange an unnecessarily stressful experience. Rip Curl makes great gear, but I strongly recommend shopping at another location or through a different retailer until this store is under better management. read more

Great selection & helpful people working there. We will go again when ever we are in town.

I could probably spend easily a $100-$200 here but behaved myself on my first visit to this outlet. It's a great size outlet with tons of discounted clothing and surf gear. The prices are great for what they offer. I bought myself a large brim hat for the summer for only $15. They have t-shirts that start at $4.97. Comfy clothing too. They off men and women as well as kids clothing. Like I mentioned the deals are insane and you can totally go overboard easily here. Customer service was excellent too. A staff member walked around asking if we were doing ok and if we needed any help as well. read more

Great deals on wetsuits! Limited selection of booties. Lots of bathing suits and clothes and changing robes

Walked in and was asked if I had a mask. I did not. I asked for one and was given it. Not a big deal. Store has a lot of merch. Seems like they expanded and got rid of their surfboards. The XXL tees seem small and the material is very thin. Ended up getting my boys a few tees and got some dope hats for $9.99. The young female employee was really nice. She seemed new but was super friendly. read more

The folks working here are amazing . Super helpful and will go out of the way to assist their customers. Was surprised by how busy it was until I experienced the service. I bought a brand new wet suit for my boy for Christmas it had a hole in it the first day he got it. It was a good swell and put in on to paddle out. Took the suit back next day and no option to get another just to send it out for repair ... that was 4 weeks ago. !!! I called both SA and San Clemente no sign of the suit. I was supposed to receive an email or phone call but have not . I called and was given the number of repair facility and when called it went to a bad number but seriously. With a family of six that surfs we have supported them but now .... ? read more

Not a huge selection of women's surf gear (wet suits, rash guards, board shorts etc) but you can definitely load up on tshirts, hoodies and other clothing. Some of my fav summer shirts on rotation are the Rip Curl t's and they're super comfy and look cool. As others mentioned, staff can be hit or miss (some appear aloof and more interested in gossiping with their colleagues than helping you out) but some are friendly and nice. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking to add some casual outfits to your wardrobe but not your surf accessories! read more

Large open layout. Plenty of parking. Decent regular everyday deals but today they had 40% all their board shorts and swimsuits which was a steal because some of them were already discounted so you could snag some for $15-25 for top of the line boardshorts. They have a last call area which is their clearance which has really good deal sometimes if you're lucky. $5-10 t shirts etc. the wetsuits they have today were all entry level suits. Didn't have any of the top of the line suites but I think they do sometimes. Came here for a long sleeve rash guard or surf top but inventory was slim and didn't have anything I wanted or my size. Definitely a place to check out for your surfing needs read more

Nice wetsuits at good prices. Sure, the selection is limited, but I'd a great wetsuit at a fraction of the price is worth it.

Ummm this place is really good. TShirts, flip-flops, girls, guys... Buy all surfy beachwear at a huge discount. The day I went they weren't even having their 2x a year sale. But I scored: $6 & $8 tees, $12 gauzey embroidered ladies top which I LOVE, $20 bikini separates, $16 leather flip-flops and more. My son loved it. And did I mention the place is HUGE! I will definitely return on their big % off sales. The salesclerk told me when they hold the sales but I forgot. I'll have to call and find out. That is all. read more

Stopped in here to look for a paddle board and this terry cloth hoodie called the Leilani. I found neither, but I did find some cute button up shirts for my nephew and surf wax for $1. I bought a floppy sun hat as well, but it didn't really save tons of money like I thought I would. This outlet has surfboards, lots of wetsuits, clothes, swimsuits, bags, etc. I love the brand for years, but wasn't impressed with sale aspect. I will occasionally check-in to see if there's anything interesting to buy to wear. Great for those who are really into surfing or surf attire. read more

Found scuba boots to use on SUP. Good quality water sports equipment, they had special 60% discount.

I love this outlet. My mother, my sons and grandkids have been coming here for years. I have more Ripcurl items than anything else in my wardrobe and im 62 years old. Staff is always friendly and not pushy. Love it read more

My daughter wanted long sleeve water friendly UV tops for paddleboarding, and I figured the Rip Curl Outlet would be the best place to find them locally at a discount from retail. She found a number of tops she liked, long sleeve, zip up, UV protection fabric, for about $20 each, and she loves them. It is a little tough to find her size (XS/S), as there seems to be way more in the medium and large range, but there is still a decent selection. The store and selection are both of decent size, the dressing rums have doors (not curtains) and there are plenty of options on the racks for guys and girls, from swim suits to casual wear to wet suites, plus a selection of surf boards. read more

I love it. They have various selections. If you looking for a wet suit, it's probably the best place to get one.

Super friendly people work here. Extremely helpful and kind. Great prices, too. Don't miss their Thanksgiving day clearance sale!

First time in this outlet. 4 stars for the good selections and prices. BUT will only award 1 star for the lady cashier who served us. Either she is not well inform of the sales prices or simply played dump and dishonest. We got a short for $9.89 and she charges $24.89. We got a swim top that is 2 for $20 . And she charged $19.99 for one. And gave a poker face on your total. When bring to her attention she apparently knew the correct price. Beware and be careful when shopping. Disappointed at such unhonest customer service/cashier. Yelp.com/list/yelp-100-challenge. read more

Simply the BEST customer service one can possibly wish for! Miss Dani rides hard, and is very abusive. I have 3 "joysticks", a long one, a semi short one, and a short one with lots of girth. Over the years, I broke them one by one. The last one, the stiffest of the 3, also my favorite, finally couldn't take any more beating: the Frog House told me it will cost me close to $200 to fix "him". So, I'm in the market for a new "joystick", if only match.com existed for surfboards... Luckily, my friend referred me here. The staff here was soooo amazingly knowledgeable and helpful; taught me alot about the shape, length, fin setup, and how they affect performance and rideability; gave me recommendations based on my skill level (definitely not a virgin but no pro either) and my riding style (crazy and overly adventurous) - something short with a pointed nose, thick with extra volume for easy drop-in. I really wanted to get one here, but none was the right shape for me. Will definitely come back here to check out their selection in the future. P.S. no bathrooms here. read more

Housed in the Roger Dunn (and formerly REI) parking lot, the Rip Curl Outlet occupies a huge warehouse with tons of merchandise. There are actually some pretty good deals here. I find that shopping online for things like boardshorts is difficult because different companies have totally different fits. You can find t-shirts from about $10, zip-ups from around $25, and boardshorts from $20 on some of the sale racks. They also have a few bins of clearance items that are even more discounted. They've got a large selection of hats, wetsuits, surfboards, and a lot clothing in general. Definitely worth stopping in to see what you can dig up! The staff has always been friendly when I've come in, and it seems like there is never anyone there! read more
