There is a clerk by the name of Karina, for the second time I purchased pants at the store, she has forgotten to take off the sensor, it is very frustrating for me to drive back because I live in San Bernardino. Best place to go for flip flops. Only place I purchase from. I fly down from Seattle multiple times a year and make sure I stop in to get a new pair. This is a must go to when I'm in town. I will be back down in December to get another pair!!!!People need to stop crying about customer service. Go get your crap and get out. You're taking up space. Poor customer service I would not recommend this surf shop. We purchased a full price quicksilver clothing item 2 weeks ago, It fell apart after one wash and is unusable. The store would not exchange or return it and was very unfriendly about the request. There's lots of other surf shops in OC, go elsewhere. read more

I was in dire need of a nice new t-shirt, and PJ's delivered a performance for the ages. I've had a sweet, very comfortable shirt (worn regularly) for 3 years with little signs of wear. It also has an awesome design. It's truly incredible. It's all I've ever desired in a t-shirt. Yelp doesn't lie... my husband and I yelped "flip flops" cause he really needed a pair and best bet. They had a great selection of flip flops from quicksilver to rainbow. This has by far the brands I was looking for compared to just the regular shops that have tourists items. I love this place. They have great products, shirts, sandals, backpacks (I have boughton 2 here so far), stickers, souvenirs, etc. All name brand and high quality. No knock offs or cheap look alikes. This is always a must go for me when I come to Newport. Very clean, the employees are very young but always friendly and helpful. They dont hover over you or stare at you awkwardly. Great place on the Newport boardwalk for beach essentials. They carry clothes, flip-fops, beach umbrellas, swim suits, skateboards, etc. Just a walk from the Beach Ball and Blackie's. Found great dresses for beach cover-ups. They had Rainbow sandals on sale. read more

We love this place... every time we're in Newport we stop in to buy sunglasses, flip-flops, what-have-you & the staff are always very nice & accommodating to us. The store is clean & organized & has tons of merchandise, all at very reasonable prices. Stopped in here so the girlfriend could grab flip flops and a sundress as we made an impromptu stop at Newport Beach. They allowed her to wear everything out which made it easy. Prices were a little high, but to be expected given the real estate. read more

New Port was my second home growing up and PJs was a part of it. Well I moved out of the country awhile back. A couple weeks ago i retuned with my 7 month old daughter and mom to reminisce. Well PJs was a part of that. I wanted to get something for my daughter so she can look back and remember. Well I walked around trying to find the perfect item. My mom bought some items for family,as she always does. Well when we went to the register i saw their small surf board and instantly fell in love but was bummed because I didn't think I could get it all the back to Europe without it breaking. Well the guys behind the counter said we can make it work. Whats an address that we can ship it to? If we can ship internationally to through UPS well send the one you want out today. Well we couldn't figure it out so they said we got this. One of the guys went to the back and come out with a box. They packaged it for me flat and taped it up really well. Well in the end it got to Europe safely lasting in my heck in being thrown from language carousel to carousel. I am so pleased that they went above and beyond to make this happen. I've been a lifetime customer and will continue to be. WHY I GAVE ONLY 4 STARS! Sadly though the ladies in the front setting up displays were of no help, really rude and could care less about the customers. I tried to ask them questions several times and they just ignored us. So sad. I know they have a job to do but part of that it helping the customer as well. Make sure the guys help you the ladies were just rude and careless. read more
