I ended up buying a sweater for $109 after the 70% discount. My husband found a jacket he sort of liked and it was about $500. My husband forgot to pack a button down shirt so we stopped in here to find one for him. He's 6"6 and bored shouldered so it's often difficult for him to find clothes that fit well. We found a ton of beautiful button downs here that fit him great. And the material is unbelievable. I've never felt anything that soft in guys clothes! They had so many cute clothes for women! Rompers, sweaters, dresses, etc. If we'd had more time I would have liked to have tried a few things on. The employees were so kind here. Very helpful and so incredibly friendly! We make a trip out to Laguna twice a year so I'll definitely be swinging by this store again! read more

I love this store. The clothing is unique and the quality is TOP notch. I've been very happy with everything I've purchased there--couldn't say anything more positive. As a patron of this store (and also a business owner), I've seen some of the lower reviews on here, and feel they're a little unfair--and if anything--isolated incidents. That has definitely not been my experience with the staff, and I've shopped there several times. And when the owners are present, they are very friendly, engaging and actively involved in servicing the customer. - **Return/exchange policy** - Their return/exchange policy is perfectly understandable. A lot of their product is more specialty/special order, so having a more strict return policy is not surprising. I always make sure to ask a merchant about their return/exchange policy before finalizing a purchase that I might be unsure about (to avoid the situations mentioned.) - **Policy re: ice cream** - a sign is prominently posted as you enter, and I respect that the owners are just trying to minimize risk for property damage. If the staff came off rude, I'm confident that would be addressed if it was brought to the attention of the owners. read more

I placed an order for a pair of men's shorts online that the store declined to fulfill after determining that they were "incorrectly priced." Danielle offered me the ability to pay an additional $150 for the shorts at their "current price." Oh, but she did offer me free shipping (valued at $10) for my "inconvenience." When I responded to the email saying that the order should be fulfilled at the price agreed to at the time of sale, I received no reply. I had received a receipt and confirmation for this order, including a posted charge to my American Express. This is a ridiculous way of conducting business. Any sales that have been confirmed should be honored at the agreed-upon price. Simple...anyone who shops here despite the way they treat their customers is simple. read more

My boyfriend and I walked in on this rainy day - very excited to shop and the woman at the front was so unbelievably rude to us - asking for us to put our tiny little gelato cups down at the front counter. We just returned from the long weekend in Dana Point for a friends wedding and had a great shopping experience at Simple in Laguna beach. There were 5 of us and everyone found a few beautiful pieces that are in abundance at this store. Beautiful fabrics, colors and high quality of the clothes they carry sets them apart from most stores we saw/shopped at in Laguna. The husband and wife who own it were a lovely couple and we chatted with them for a while. They were very helpful with sizing and style suggestions, all our purchases were steamed and nicely wrapped. I felt bad having to pack them in a suitcase after. No idea what "rudeness" others are talking about, the 5 of us left very happy and loved everything we bought. read more

I was going on a trip the next day, and decided I wanted to buy something new to take along. It was a rainy Wednesday, and everything was pretty much closed in Laguna Beach at 8 pm--except Simple. I had been in the store before, but this was the first time I had the time to look around and try things on. This store has really beautiful merchandise--linen dresses, cashmere sweaters, cotton shirts that are so soft they feel like silk. Marsha, the woman who helped me, was quite nice and very helpful, even though it was late. She showed me the tops that she thought would suit me, and picked out jeans sizes. The store is pricey, but everything is top quality and well-selected. I ended up with a pair of jeans, a sweater, and two of the soft cotton shirts, because I couldn't decide between white and mint green. The store also carries men's clothes, as well as towels, bed linen, candles, and jewelry. read more

Contemporary clothing that beg to be touched, because of the ownership careful curating of great materials that have style and showoff the figure of both men and woman. The merchandise is quite unusual but the sales women are so obnoxious it's not worth it. For the prices they are asking the entire experience needs to be good. We've been in twice and treated disrespectfully both times. We are locals looking to furnish a new home and we will not be back. I think the merchandise in their store was great. The sales staff helped me find merchandise that was on sale and other things priced reasonably enough. I didn't feel snubbed at all. The service for me was just about right- not intrusive or pushy, but enough to feel like I was getting friendly help. The only reason I give this 4 stars was because the prices were quite high, but I think probably they try to keep nice quality, beautiful things as low as they can. read more
