In a city filled with art galleries, this unique boutique is filled with wearable, usable art: vibrant, colorful, hand-dyed Spanish clothing and accessories that span chic & sophisticated to cheeky & fun. For the artistry and labor that goes into each piece, the prices are reasonable; some actually affordable for those with a more modest income like me. A great place to find a one-of-kind gift or splurge on yourself. And items for multiple generations. Bonus: the saleswoman, Melanie, was incredibly helpful, amiable, and kind. The location, which is in a walkable, popular area filled with restaurants and shops, is convenient. I look forward to returning next time I'm in Laguna Beach. read more

OMG! If you like funky fun fashion this is your store! Stopped in because of the fascinators in the store window and walked out with handmade scarves, my sister also got a fun multi-use sweater. Vickie helped us so much and was so fun and friendly. I'm a Zaftig lady so I normally avoid shops like this but there was something for everyone and again Vickie was amazing I loved the garments made out of pop top caps (see photos). read more

This store has the most unique and beautiful items as far as clothing, jewelry and bags. Reasonably priced and really beautifully made. Robin was extremely helpful when I was looking for something for my daughter's birthday. And we found a couple items for me as well. We came to Laguna Beach for the festivals and stumbled upon this gorgeous boutique. It was pricy but many of the items were beautiful, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces. Martin was so sweet, cordial & helpful. I was pleasantly surprised because I expected a certain snootiness but not at all! Martin sold me a beautiful shawl & some nice accessories. I bought a leather bracelet painted with an octopus ..in the most incredible colors of blues and creams...I found one of a kind, colorful necklaces-made of rubble that are perfect for burning man! I love visiting this store. It's like going to a clothing art gallery. One of a kind clothes in the most beautiful colors, designs and textures. The owner, Martin, is one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The quality of the clothing is excellent. I love my Azara coats from Paris and the beautiful sweater made in Italy. Blows Louis Vitton and Channel out of the water! It's creative, beautiful and one of a kind. This is ALWAYS my very favorite shop in Laguna and is enhanced beyond mere description by the presence and quiet assistance of Robin who has been employed there as long as I can remember. She is so helpful and makes certain the customer sees all versions of clothing as they are scattered around the store and one's senses are on overload. Duet is just simply the BEST!!! Martin has a great eye and supports many California designers and 'artists'. I am saying 'artists' because many of his clothes and accessories are pieces of wearable art. His prices are amazingly reasonable and you always leave "Duet" with a smile because you purchased something that was affordable and will get lots of attention. Not to be missed! read more

Awesomely fabulous boutique! My friend and I were strolling around Laguna Beach last weekend and dropped in at Duet. What an amazing place. We both found some really unique wonderful wraps and bags. I also wanted a wrap in a particular color which they didn't have. Martin took my name and number and said he'd call as soon as they got some more in. Even though I'd bought quite a few things, I didn't really expect to hear back but just like his word, I got an email and a phone call with photos of the new wraps they'd just gotten in. I will be stopping by to pick up my new wrap tonight and will definitely drop in every so often to see their new items. This boutique was a great find! read more

Unique, beautiful, wearable art - the clothing and accessories here are not mass produced in Chinese factories. They are unique, beautiful and often one of a kind, handmade pieces. I happened upon the shop while strolling through town. Upon entering I was on sensory overload (in a good way). So much color and craftsmanship - I explored every inch and left with several fabulous purchases. One of the items they have are handmade boot adornments - like ankle bracelets but for boots. Such a great way to add style to & change the look of boots. Love, love this place!! read more

this store is the bomb. i live in san diego and this is a must place to shop. the designs are new and refreshing. a bit $, but i guarantee you will never see anybody wearing the same outfit you have on. the textiles are absolutely fabulous and the colors are beautiful. owners have a great sense of style and will not recommend anything that is not for you. read more
