The Rainbow Reef Dive Center was such a great experience! My fiance and I are Open Water Divers and we wanted to dive the Florida Keys on May 2024. We booked the morning and afternoon dive (total of 4 dives/sites) and we enjoyed the experience. The boat and dive guides were very friendly. We checked in then we got our rental gears. Before we left the dock, the dive guides were able to help us set up our gear (we are beginner divers and, sometimes, you just need to double check if your gear is correctly set up). We went to the Eagle Raw Alley, JJ's Cave, Minnow's Cave, and Christ of the Abyss. We saw a lot of creatures like lobster, hammer head shark, nurse shark, different fishes, stingray, crab, Christ of the Abyss, parrot fish, and tube sponge. Highly recommend this location for your next dive!

Great diving for the price. Good value. Boats are large with lots of space for gear stowage. They allowed us to bring our own small cooler for snacks and drinks. Mix of divers and snorkelers on the shallow reef dives, but divers are led by competent guides. Key Largo Reefs are in great shape. Reef shark, Eagle Ray, reef fish, coral is healthy compared to other sites in FL. Diver Dina (The Diva) was our guide. Make sure you blow out your reg dust cap with the leftover tank pressure, she loves that noise.

This was my 3rd time diving with Rainbow Reef. This time I departed at the location where Sharkey's is. We did an afternoon dive. Check in was very easy. Bathrooms were available. They were not very good about giving instructions after you check in. Everyone was confused. It is a bunch of kids running things basically. They all seemed a bit annoyed. However our dive guide Daniel was very nice and an excellent guide! He found lots of critters for us and moved slow enough for me to take good photos. Another positive, they have reef safe sunscreen available for use on the boat.

Rainbow Reef Dive Center did a fantastic job with our 10 year old daughter's Jr Open Water dive training last week!!!! Pete & Grace were absolutely amazing at training our little girl while keeping her safe and making it fun all at the same time. The crew of the Tropical Serenity - Capt Rae, Elliott (saved the day helping me with a quick gear repair), Payton & Hailey were so awesome with our kids and making our dive perfect.

Great staff great dive locations. The prices for a guided tour are competitive with unguided tours. Went with two different companies while on a trip to the Keys. Rainbow Reef Dive was the better of the two. Better pre dive brief and boarding. Gear for rent and 2 tanks are provided. Will dive with them again.

First class dive center, very professional, knowledgeable & skilled, excellent customer service, outstanding operations (captains, dive guides, deck hands, big nice boats), very organized, wonderful experience all around, will be back. I highly recommend them, reasonably priced & you won't find better. Dive with the best!

Me on the Spiegel Grove. Waited seven years to complete this dive!

Thanks to the team at Rainbow Reef Dive Center especially Bianca my dive master for helping me conquer this wreck! Finally beat my "white whale" and had a great dive on the Spiegel Grove! That's me giving it the finger. So glad to have accomplished this! I have been a certified diver since 1999 and advanced certified since 2001. I had wanted to dive all the wrecks of the Florida Keys- the wreck trek- and already had several of them in my log book. Seven years ago I had a bad experience with a now out of business dive operator which caused me to reevaluate my interest in diving and I didn't dive at all for three years. When I decided to dive again it was with some rules I put in place for myself for safety one of which was on more challenging dives I decided to pay to have a private dive master for an extra level of comfort. Rainbow Reef was highly recommended by a friend who is the most meticulous planner and never leaves a single detail overlooked. If they were good for him I was confident they would be good for me. So I took a refresher course (thanks Elena!) and did a half dozen dives this week to practice my skills and confirm I was comfortable. I booked a private guide, Bianca, who was terrific. She was patient, affirming, and helped me to be confident. And Captain Dennis and Jessica and Jeff did everything they could to make this a safe and fun trip. Very grateful to have the opportunity to see this beautiful ship, fully encrusted with coral and sitting in clear, gorgeously blue water. To celebrate- I'm diving it again Friday and two other wrecks Saturday! A big shout out to all the staff at Rainbow Reef- the captains were all safety focused, the crew helpful, and a huge HIGH FIVE to the first boat I was on that had an ALL FEMALE CREW- Captain Abby, first mate Jennifer, dive masters Jessica and Elena! Girl power! You are awesome!!

Great prices on training. And fun place to dive. These guys train more dive than any other place in the Americas.

The entire team was welcoming, professional, patient, and truly cared about my success and safety. From the very first day, I felt like I was part of the family. A very special thank you to Michaela. She went above and beyond in every possible way. She helped me find a hotel, recommended great restaurants, gave me directions, answered all of my questions, and even helped me find childcare so I could focus on my training. She also personally helped care for my child during part of my three-day course, which meant the world to me. As a parent, that kind of kindness and support is something I'll never forget. Her generosity, compassion, and genuine heart made this experience so much easier and more enjoyable. My instructor, Tarek Salem, was exceptional. He is patient, calm, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. He explained every skill thoroughly, made sure I understood everything before each dive, and gave me the confidence I needed to succeed. I always felt safe and well taken care of. I also want to thank Elara Moultrie. She was friendly, patient, encouraging, and always focused on everyone's safety. Her positive attitude made every dive fun and helped create such a welcoming environment. This wasn't just a place to earn certifications--it was a place where people truly care about their students. I left with my Advanced Open Water and Nitrox certifications, wonderful memories, and friends I'll never forget. If you're looking for a dive center with outstanding instructors and people who genuinely care about you both in and out of the water, I highly recommend this team. I'll definitely be back for more training and more dives. Thank you all for making this an unforgettable experience!

The equipment was clean and in excellent condition, the boats were newer and very well maintained, and the entire facility was spotless. They even have great air conditioning, clean changing rooms, and outdoor showers to rinse off after your trip. They also don't fill their boats to capacity, which makes for a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience. They also provided refreshments on board, including chips, water, and soft drinks, which was a nice touch. The crews--Captain Aaron and Ashlynn on our first trip and Captain Brad and Ashlynn on our second--were outstanding. They were funny, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. The snorkeling itself was incredible. One of the highlights was the Christ of the Abyss snorkel, which was absolutely unforgettable. As a Christian, seeing the Christ statue underwater brought me back to where it all began. To think that Christ made everything around you and all the creatures is truly a tribute. We saw colorful tropical fish, a stingray, moray eel, and even sea turtles. Rent the GoPro--you won't regret it. We were amazed at how much wildlife we captured on video that we completely missed while we were in the water. It was such an amazing experience that we booked a second trip before leaving. I honestly have no negatives. If we're ever back in the Keys, Silent World will be our first stop. I'm already planning to bring my kids here in the future. Highly recommended!!!
