Good old fashioned breakfast! Great size portions!
    Juan V.

Take a drive out to the country and enjoy an amazing all American breakfast made right. The corn beef hash was simply put the right way to start my day, paired up with their house hash browns took my breakfast to another level. Enjoy the feeling of living in the country with out having to go too far from the city. Service was great and friendly, also attentive.

Cute local cafe that we've been biking past for years. Glad we stopped in

Wow! We've been riding our bikes past this place for over 10 years and finally stopped in for breakfast. We should've done this year's ago it is such amazing food. Gigantic portions and clearly cooked with loving care. We stopped in for breakfast this time but can't wait to go back and try lunch

Ham and eggs with hash browns.

This place was book marked for breakfast for a while now and I finally stopped by. This place is off the beaten path and tucked away in an out in the country setting. This place was full of locals who knew each other by name and I was definitely the out sider and got some looks. Lonnie was my server and did a great job at working the room and taking care of me, after I introduced my self and she called me by name through out my breakfast just like she did with everyone else. I was offered the morning paper if I wanted to read it which I thought was cool. The place is nothing fancy and very dated with wall paper and lots of wood. The tables and chairs are the cheap cafeteria kind. The place is small with an old school lunch counter and it was fairly packed with people arriving and leaving. The breakfast menu is one page only and not like the Greek places with overwhelming choices. I would have the simple meat and eggs plate with toast and hash browns. My ham was a little disappointing because it was a thicker version of commercial deli sandwich ham slice from a store deli, it's a good thing I also got a side of sausage links. This was really the thinnest ham piece I have ever had in a breakfast dish. The sausage links had a nice casing and were very juicy with a good breakfast flavor. The hash browns we were plentiful with a nice balance of crispy vs soft potato texture. The eggs were perfect sunny side up with that nice runny yoke. The toast was the generic wheat and nothing special. Over all this is a solid breakfast place, just don't get the ham if you are looking for a thicker juicy slice. Lonnie is fantastic at making non regulars who wander in feel like you have been coming in for years. Two thumbs up.

What I don't like so much is the fact that there is no foyer at the entrance. When the front door opens, and if you are seated nearby, you get a blast of cold air. Not sure what they can do about that, given the fact that they are part of a strip mall.

Mismatched chairs and tables from the 70s, maybe older based on the prints. I feel like I'm the only one in here today that remembers seeing and using a LOT of this stuff when was younger! It's definitely unique and fun. There's a lot of little seating areas as well, like tiny conversation pits near the entrance. One in front of a fireplace looked particularly cozy. I noticed a couple shelves with items for sale, likely from local small businesses. It can get really loud in here, which is to be expected with the high ceiling and large open area. Unfortunately that also means it can be difficult to have a conversation with people at your table. I chose to visit for lunch since I was in the mood for something light and new to me. What I did not expect was to leave still hungry. I ordered the equivalent of a caprese sandwich, however the tomato slices were so thin, the cheese sparse, and the pesto was almost nonexistent - if not for the green stain on the bread, I'd have thought they forgot to even add it. Definitely not a sandwich worthy of the $13 price tag. No complaints on the drinks. I wouldn't mind stopping in again sometime for coffee, but if you're hungry for more than a bakery case item, you may wish to go elsewhere.

The decor is unique with a funky woodsy theme that includes a taxidermy bear, fish tank and two inside tables. My service was friendly and fast. I would order the the north woods spicy Italian which is pepperoni, salami, bacon, tomato, red onion, fresh mozzarella pepper Jack cheese, mayo and giardiniera 9 inch at a premium price of $16. First off it actually measured over 10 inches, thank you SW. The sandwich looked good on sesame seed Italian bread which is the perfect bread for sandwiches. The side view looked great and they don't skimp on anything. The fresh toppings, meats etc were plentiful. The Italian bread was perfect because it was fresh with that slight chew in the crust and slightly dense to hold up to this messy sandwich and the generous mayo really makes this sandwich. My first bite was like WOW this is fu%king delicious and a more like a gourmet sub compared to the well known chains. I don't mind paying a premium price for something that is better than most sandwich shops. Overall I'm impressed with this sandwich quality and quantity vs taste. Just a head's up....we were the first people that had ever presented the pass book here...nobody knew or understood what it was. After explaining it to the servers, they had to get the manager to figure it out. We were originally charged the full price while we waited for the manager. When he came out, he refunded the $10 back to our credit card (it looks like he cancelled the first transaction and rerung our order up under the new total). Apparently they don't have a stamp, so he just signed the space in our book, which is fine. Onto the food...we both got the double Milk Can cheeseburger, tots, and curds. I got a Dr. Pepper and hubs got a beer. The burger was good. It was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of cheese and condiments. Because it was a double, it filled me up fairly quickly, but I was determined to eat at least some of the sides. The tots were tots; nothing special, but they were a nice change from fries. The curds were really good. Lightly breaded and cooked to perfection, they knock Culver's curds out of the water. They come with a small tub of ranch which wasn't needed, honestly, but was a good accompaniment. If you haven't been here yet, I encourage you to check it out. I would like to come back to try their ice cream concoctions, and maybe pick up some pints to go! 28/2025

The colors were tame and not all the bright colors like some Mexican restaurants. The tables and chairs were out of place because they had a country look to them. My server was super friendly and very nice for a very young woman. I was served chips and salsa while waiting for my strawberry margarita. The chips were warm and fresh but not seasoned. The salsa looked horrible because it was a purée but to my surprise it was the most flavorful part of my lunch with a nice garlic flavor. The strawberry margarita was above average because it had booze in it and a deep strawberry flavor that screamed strawberry, thank you. With only my order in the kitchen my food came very quick, the place was empty. I ordered the combination plate with a first for me, chicken in Mexican food for some reason. I had a ground beef taco, chicken enchilada and al pastor tostada with rice/beans. Although the food was good it was Americanized, bland and not seasoned. All the meats were moist I must say. I got the impression that they were cooking for the elderly population in Muskego. Overall if authentic Mexican food is not what your looking for and tame Americanized is your preference than this is the place for you.

During nice weather you can grab a seat outside and look over the water. They even provide pontoon rides during the warmer months (great way to enjoy a drink while you wait for your table). In the last several years they have gone through some significant renovations, especially with the outside seating areas. There is the restaurant on the first floor, and an event space on the second floor. Made 6:30 reservations for Wednesday for 4, and got right in. Had a table by the large windows that look for the patio and lake. Very pretty spot. Got greeted immediately by our server, who did a great job the entire evening. (thanks Laura). Got us water, took our drink order, along with an order for Onion Rings. The onion rings didn't take long, and they were excellent. Crispy with an interesting texture, hot, and served with a side of ranch (could have used more of that). The drinks were good, with the exception of one glass of a beer flight which was super flat, and was happily replaced by the server. For entrees we got: BLT, Blacked Fish Tacos (with extra bacon), Pesto Encrusted Salmon, and Salmon Power Salad. A note about the Pesto "Encrusted" Salmon. It's not really "encrusted", more like a scoop of pesto placed on top of the Salmon, and they finished under a broiler? Good but not what was expected. Didn't take that long for the food to arrive. It was all very good. The tacos were fresh, great flavor and hot. The fries that came with it, were NOT as not as I would like. Both grilled salmon entrees were also very good. The Power Bowl was excellent, with lots of fresh greens and other yummy add ins (goat cheese, blueberries, etc) A very good evening, with the exception of a couple of small hiccups.
