Expect awesome, home cooked sides and tasty meals. We were staying at The Brewhouse a block away and didn't want to go to downtown. I yelped desserts and this place came up. They are in a food court, so don't expect fine dining. Expect friendly staff, hot food with some great flavors. It is in walking distance to Fiserv too.

Ohhhhhmygawwwd! Staying at Flexhomes in Milwaukee and tried this spot because it's located in the foyer. In my whitest voice: HOLYCOW! This food is the gosh darn best!! I wanted a snack before the wedding dinner but ended up eating so much that I couldn't eat dinner. I couldn't stop eating it! SO flavorful and hot and fresh. The chicken with hot sauce and beans were amazing. I've never had sweet pi like that! The two people working were super friendly and helpful as well! They gave me samples and were great to talk to. I highly recommend eating here!!

3 piece catfish (minus two pieces) - LOVED the biscuit and the catfish! Hot, moist, and perfectly fried!

We stopped in for lunch and the food hall was not particularly busy - we had pre-ordered from meat on the street, but then as we walked around, the owners of this establishment offered us a sample of greens and mac and cheese. We weren't planning on ordering a second lunch, but those samples were so good that we couldn't help ourselves! We ordered a three-piece catfish with sides of collard greens and mac and cheese. The owners were also so nice - the fish was fried fresh and mouth scaldingly hot, just the way I like it! The batter was light, flavorful, and not too oily. On top of it, the fish tasted so fresh, was moist, and didn't feel heavy in the stomach at all. The collard greens are well seasoned, and the mac and cheese was cooked to perfection - not too runny and perfectly cheesy. I'm excited to go back and try more of their sides and entrees - the owner also gave us a biscuit, which wasn't the traditional Southern biscuit he might think of, but reminded me of Chinese style breadsticks that you dip into your rice porridge. Next time, I would be more than happy to reorder the catfish, but perhaps I will have to go outside of my conference zone and opt for the wings or perch, both of which also imagine will be just as tasty as our catfish.

I saw Coaches in the Eleven25 at the Pabst Food Hall a few times, while visiting other restaurants, but the new Ritual app, offering a $1 meal from Coaches, sparked an immediate visit. I ordered a 2-piece fried chicken dinner with mac-n-cheese and a "biscuit," which I'd say is more of a beignet. Everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. I vowed to return to try the catfish that I was eyeing on the menu. Monday night, I went back for the catfish dinner with fries and mac-n-cheese (because I liked it so much the first time), and the "biscuit." again, everything was perfect! The catfish was slightly crisp and white and flaky inside. The fries were perfectly cooked, and obviously cooked in clean oil, which helps make the fries great. Coaches adds to make my difficult food decision at this food hall because every place is great, and now I have another to choose from. It's a great addition to Milwaukee's first food hall, along with meat on the Street, Marco Pollo, and Bento Xpert! Coaches has a $2 burger special on Tuesdays, but you can get a burger and fries for $4.99 any day at Coaches, so I think the burger is next on my list to try there.

The walls had older pictures of what the place use to be and what it looked like along with older artifacts as decorations. Pretty neat to see "historically" items in a modern business. This place didn't seem super big but they did have some outdoor seating but it was raining the day we visited. They had some gambling machines if that is important to you. Our server was friendly and attentive as possible with all the busy happening. She answered our questions about the menu and the restaurant even though she was busy. She never made us feel rushed which I appreciated. We ordered a couple sandwiches...maple mustard glazed pork chop sandwich with fries and a blacken chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich with Garlicky Caesar salad. Also got crispy Brussels sprouts with candied pecans and sriracha aioli as an appetizer. The food was very very good! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for local fare!

We quite literally came here straight from the airport. To make matters worse, we had not eaten anything substantial all day and had actually looked this restaurant up weeks before our trip while researching places to eat the infamous Wisconsin fish fry, so we were really looking forward to the experience. The experience started off poorly when our party was essentially scolded by the hostess for sitting at a table that apparently needed to be cleaned for the wait list. To make matters worse, the busser laughed and joked that we were "in trouble," to which I could only respond, "Sounds like it." Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you'd hope for as a first time visitor. The fish fry was decent our tab came out to $150 for 5 people, but the service was absolutely subpar and our tip reflected that. We also had to send back two drink glasses because they were dirty one still had lipstick on it, and another had food stuck to the inside of the glass. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the unprofessional treatment, lackluster service, and cleanliness issues, I would not recommend stopping here. There are plenty of other restaurants worth trying instead.

The concept was fun as was the decor but I thought it would be even more kitschy than it was. Our waiter was enthusiastic. The food menu is small but the milkshake and the boozy milkshake menu is big and interesting. The salted caramel milkshake was very good. I got their smash burger basket with the fries. I don't order smash burgers often and this was a reminder why. It was overcooked and dry. The fries though were excellent. My wife got a breakfast meal and she thought it was solid. The prices were reasonable but be warned they automatically tack on a 20% service charge. I was not surprised since I saw this in reviews. If it was on the menu I missed it. Worth one visit.

Needless to say, it was crowded and lively, but our table was waiting for us and we were sat immediately. My husband decided on the jambalaya, I went with the crawfish étouffée, and we split the roasted Cajun cauliflower as an appetizer. While it's hard for this kind of stew-like, saucy, veggie/sausage/seafood over rice mixtures to present beautifully, everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. The jambalaya had a little more of a kick than I prefer, but my husband loved it and my crawfish étouffée had the perfect amount of spice without being spicy. We reviewed the menu while we waiting for seating, which took far longer than we wanted, more than 30 minutes standing in the cramped lobby area with a bunch of other people. Hats off to their host for being friendly and even a little entertaining and I like that you can order coffee at the register area and drink it while you wait. Too bad you can't get a cocktail out there. The menu sounded great and we were ravenous so we were excited to order. By the time we were seated we were limited to about 40 minutes to get to a ticketed event, all in. I told that to our waitress so she could pace the meal accordingly. While I understand that she can't control the kitchen time, I don't think she showed any expediency or attention to my statement. Spoiler alert - we were late. Two of us ordered the biscuits to start with jam. I was happy to try them and they were good. My coffee based martini hit the spot, but it was spilled a little when it hit the table and our server didn't say anything or wipe it off. My mom liked her bloody Mary and it was decent. When our food came I was immediately disappointed by the appearance. My chilaquiles looked like they had sat under a heat lamp for ages - the egg was dried and over firm. My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.

Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing!
