We stopped in for breakfast this morning before heading out on a weekend getaway. We've eaten here several times over the years and it's always been one of our go-to neighborhood spots. The prices have always been reasonable, the food has been good, and service has usually been quick. It's also a place that seems to have a lot of regular customers, which is always a good sign. Unfortunately, today's visit was disappointing. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but it still took quite a while before anyone came over to take our order. After we ordered, the wait for our food felt unusually long, especially considering how slow it was. We ended up just sitting there waiting with nothing left to talk about. The food was fine once it arrived, but the overall experience wasn't what we've come to expect. It feels like this location has slipped a bit from where it used to be. We'll probably still stop in for a bag of burgers since we've always had good luck with those, but after today's experience, we'll likely be looking elsewhere when we're in the mood for breakfast. read more

A MKE tradition is to visit a Webb's. But ever since Covid it hasn't been the same across the board for Webb's. This particular location is very small compared to other locations and shares a small lot with 2 other businesses. Customer service was pretty good for a weekend morning. The food was okay but comparable to many other locations. This location has it's own special menu to draw in people Would go out of my way to visit this location and the answer is no. read more

If you came in looking for a family, you'll never leave this George Webb location. By far the shining star of the GW franchises, this location is owned with heart, charisma, and dedication. The owners are the first African American owners within the company and have set the standard for how one of these restaurants should be ran. Their level of care and consideration for the quality of not just their food, but the experience of their customers speaks volumes. You won't get an experience like this at any other diner. Boss Man's special menu, only available at this location, offers something for everyone. You won't leave hungry; he won't let you. My mom is a notorious wing-hater, but Boss Man converted her to the church of wing-a-lings. They're perfectly crispy, perfectly cooked, and the BEST in house seasoning. There's something special about meeting the family that runs a restaurant like this, and it's something you can't help but want to be a part of. Between their out of this world wings, perfectly cooked eggs, and the best stack of wheatcakes, this GW will feed everyone's soul. So I gotta update on last post that was up here if anyone saw it I'd like to say that I went up there today spoke with owner really nice guy and wife and the issue was taking care of so professionally the owner made me some of the best wings I've had in Milwaukee in a long time yes George Webb has wings the one on 92nd at least lol if u been around this area then you know that location wasn't always the best but since the new people took it over it's thriving again and I recommend y'all go check em out and get the wings with his special dry rub and I'm actually going back there later to get more myself have a good day and go see for yourself how better this place is. read more

I stopped here for breakfast so I could go to the sausage shop next door. GW is a generic breakfast place to me with prices similar to better breakfast places so I don't understand the popularity. The place has a lunch counter with round stools and booths in a small space. The breakfast menu isn't large but it has enough items and I ordered the Denver omelette with cheese. My Denver omelette came quickly and looked like a pathetic flat omelette that comes with toast and hash browns. The Denver omelette had the very minimal amount of tiny diced ham, onions and green peppers just so you call it a Denver omelette. The sourdough toast was average and had way too butter like it was soaked in butter. The hash browns were golden and crispy on the bottom. Overall it's a very mediocre breakfast and nothing special with prices of better breakfast restaurants. read more

Yum, yum, yum! I haven't been to a George Webb in a while. There isn't one close to my house. My husband and I were running around and decided to stop! The food was super tasty. We both had the American Breakfast. Our waitress was super sweet. She did a great job checking on us, and our order was perfect. No mistakes on the order! The owner is very personable and funny. This place has the absolute best customer service, they were beyond nice to my wife and I and I would rather come here more than any other George webbs. Candice at the hales corners on highway 100 location should take some training lessons from this place. Even the chef and manager Alex came out and greeted us and made us feel at home. 10 out of 10 perfectly cooked eggs, and everything else was made perfectly as well. Will be back always. I went to George webbs with my boyfriend. I got chicken tenders and my boyfriend got a burger to go. my chicken was good but my boyfriend's burger was completely raw. there was blood all over the box and the meat was as red as the tomato. Well, there should be three ratings for Webb's. A breakfast, lunch/dinner and 2am. I've combined the 3 into one rating. The breakfast is a 4, the lunch/dinner is a 3, 2am is a 5. Overall composite is a 4. Here is the kicker, those ratings could all for the same item on the menu. Great local tradition and history. Love Webb's. read more

This place is definitely a brilliant idea if you are with the homies on a late night. Especially if you are a respectful human being who knows how to make conversation and treat wait staff politely. Most customers walk in at 3AM and make do not understand that the late night team is trying their absolute best. I will keep coming back to this spot more and more because I am overjoyed every time I come here by great service and great food. I called and told them I had an order for pick up. (I ordered a Ham scrambler with no mix and white toast). The lady who answered the phone and took my order was very polite and told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes. That is where the good ends. I got there early and had to wait - no big deal, that just means that it should be warm when I get it. Right? WRONG! I would say it was barely passable as warm. The toast wasn't toast. They should have asked "what type of soggy bread with too much butter would you like?" because that was what I got (See Picture). Then I noticed my lap felt like I spilled something so I picked up the container and saw wet / fresh grease stains. I looked at the bottom of the container and there was so much grease it had actually gone through the container. (I was sitting in my recliner chair while eating which was why it was on my lap) As I went to get a paper towel from the kitchen I noticed that the grease not only went through the container but through the bag they gave me my food in as well. I could also see the grease on the food and silverware. (See Pictures) The hash browns were a mixture of over cooked and barely cooked (no color). It was so disgusting I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. (See Picture). If I wanted that much grease, I would have ate the stick of butter I have in my fridge. But hey, at least I got "free" jam for my toast. I say "free" because I am sure they include a ridiculously high price for the jam in the total cost of the meal. I can say that I will NOT return here again and I will NOT recommend it to anyone. I should have stuck with my gut instincts and gone to Griddlers. They're at least better in terms of quality. read more

The waitress was horrible! She refused to serve my friend her to-go order and then she dropped the bag on the counter with the receipt and walked away. When my friend decided she had enough bad service, she walked out so the waitress laughed saying she'll just write that customer left without taking food or paying and that she already texted Alex. When I asked the other waitress for the managers name and number, the bad waitress came out and said, "It's funny how I can hear what people ask when i'm in back" I took that as a threat she was going to mess with my food so I left without getting my order. The manager/owner lost out on my friends $12.70 order and my $23.50 order. I love this location because it's so close to my home but I won't be back. Hales Corners has a GW so we will go where the staff is polite. read more
