Good old fashioned breakfast! Great size portions!
    Juan V.

Take a drive out to the country and enjoy an amazing all American breakfast made right. The corn beef hash was simply put the right way to start my day, paired up with their house hash browns took my breakfast to another level. Enjoy the feeling of living in the country with out having to go too far from the city. Service was great and friendly, also attentive.

Cute local cafe that we've been biking past for years. Glad we stopped in

Wow! We've been riding our bikes past this place for over 10 years and finally stopped in for breakfast. We should've done this year's ago it is such amazing food. Gigantic portions and clearly cooked with loving care. We stopped in for breakfast this time but can't wait to go back and try lunch

Ham and eggs with hash browns.

This place was book marked for breakfast for a while now and I finally stopped by. This place is off the beaten path and tucked away in an out in the country setting. This place was full of locals who knew each other by name and I was definitely the out sider and got some looks. Lonnie was my server and did a great job at working the room and taking care of me, after I introduced my self and she called me by name through out my breakfast just like she did with everyone else. I was offered the morning paper if I wanted to read it which I thought was cool. The place is nothing fancy and very dated with wall paper and lots of wood. The tables and chairs are the cheap cafeteria kind. The place is small with an old school lunch counter and it was fairly packed with people arriving and leaving. The breakfast menu is one page only and not like the Greek places with overwhelming choices. I would have the simple meat and eggs plate with toast and hash browns. My ham was a little disappointing because it was a thicker version of commercial deli sandwich ham slice from a store deli, it's a good thing I also got a side of sausage links. This was really the thinnest ham piece I have ever had in a breakfast dish. The sausage links had a nice casing and were very juicy with a good breakfast flavor. The hash browns we were plentiful with a nice balance of crispy vs soft potato texture. The eggs were perfect sunny side up with that nice runny yoke. The toast was the generic wheat and nothing special. Over all this is a solid breakfast place, just don't get the ham if you are looking for a thicker juicy slice. Lonnie is fantastic at making non regulars who wander in feel like you have been coming in for years. Two thumbs up.

During nice weather you can grab a seat outside and look over the water. They even provide pontoon rides during the warmer months (great way to enjoy a drink while you wait for your table). In the last several years they have gone through some significant renovations, especially with the outside seating areas. There is the restaurant on the first floor, and an event space on the second floor. Made 6:30 reservations for Wednesday for 4, and got right in. Had a table by the large windows that look for the patio and lake. Very pretty spot. Got greeted immediately by our server, who did a great job the entire evening. (thanks Laura). Got us water, took our drink order, along with an order for Onion Rings. The onion rings didn't take long, and they were excellent. Crispy with an interesting texture, hot, and served with a side of ranch (could have used more of that). The drinks were good, with the exception of one glass of a beer flight which was super flat, and was happily replaced by the server. For entrees we got: BLT, Blacked Fish Tacos (with extra bacon), Pesto Encrusted Salmon, and Salmon Power Salad. A note about the Pesto "Encrusted" Salmon. It's not really "encrusted", more like a scoop of pesto placed on top of the Salmon, and they finished under a broiler? Good but not what was expected. Didn't take that long for the food to arrive. It was all very good. The tacos were fresh, great flavor and hot. The fries that came with it, were NOT as not as I would like. Both grilled salmon entrees were also very good. The Power Bowl was excellent, with lots of fresh greens and other yummy add ins (goat cheese, blueberries, etc) A very good evening, with the exception of a couple of small hiccups.

As soon as we walked in the NOISE smacks you right in the face and ears. The restaurant was spacious and clean with a nice menu but the NOISE makes it almost unbearable. My wife ordered the Crème brûlée French toast which looked good but was extremely sweet and quickly turned mushy. She would not order it again. My mother in law ordered French toast and bacon. The bacon was hard and difficult for her to eat and the French toast was average. I ordered a BLT, added an egg to make it a BELT, and then added cheese to make it a BELTCH sandwich with crispy fries and a cup of chicken dumpling soup which came with the meal. I even told the waitress that I hate soggy limp fries. Because I lost my smell and taste 5 months ago I asked my wife to try the soup, and when she took 2 spoons I knew she liked it and she told me it tasted good. My sandwich was nice and thick, full of good food and the lettuce was very fresh but they were hot house tomatoes. My fries arrived COLD and SOGGY . I would order it again, however, I doubt we will ever return to the restaurant. The WOMENs restroom is under construction so they have to share with the men and I would think that a restaurant that size with only one functioning restroom is a health code violation. While waiting in line to use the men's restroom, a very nice lady told me that it's been under construction for a very long time. I noticed that there were 4 men inside of the restroom standing around TALKING and NO WORK was being done. They made sure to try to keep the door closed every time someone walked by. I sure hope that they are not being paid by the hour. If you try out the restaurant, Take ear plugs and schedule extra time for your visit. The restaurant is average at best,

I don't think my youngest was super enthused by his pizza, mostly because it's not memorable to him. My oldest liked his chicken strips and fries, but I don't know if he's come across chicken strips and fries that he doesn't like, so take that with a grain of salt. The hash browns were ok. They were just fried potato with no other flavor or add-in like onions. I added salt and pepper because they needed it. I got American cheese on the scrambled eggs and they were as you'd expect. The tenderloin was fine. Obviously not as good of a cut as New York strip or ribeye would have been. I ended up sharing a portion of it with my oldest and he ate it without complaints too. The star of our visit was the coffee cake. It was warm and soft and in every sense perfect.
