Supremely nice and affordable. Need I say more about a dry cleaners?

My dog decided to make a bathroom of my down comforter so I took it into Rainbow Laundry for dry cleaning. I got there around 6:30 pm and the guy said that it would be ready by 2:00pm the next day. I still can't believe that it was so fast. I did think it was a little bit pricey at $30 for a queen size but I haven't had it cleaned for awhile so I may be a little out of touch with current prices. read more

I LOVE this place. Really, who likes to go to a laundromat? Frank and staff are extremely friendly AND helpful. I was brand new to Minneapolis and living in a bad place. Going to Rainbow was a respite. It is a clean place! Plus it only cost 25 cents more per wash/dry than the cruddy machines in the dank basement of my apartment building. Frank offered me free water on a hot day, my dog could come with me and if needed, I could have them do my laundry for me. Great place. read more

This is my go to laundry place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and the machine are awesome. The washers are all front loaders and you can pick from double, triple or quadruple load machines. I stick to the double load machines which are $2.75 a load. You can pick the water temp and add extra time for extra dirty clothes. The driers are amazing! It is a quarter for 6 minutes. My towels loads take 4 quarters max! And this place has a change machine that takes dollars and the staff will break your larger bills if you ask which saves me a trip to go get quarters at the bank. I have never had to wait for a machine and I love how I can use multiple machines at once and get my large loads done super fast. There is a small parking lot in the front of the building and there is a bunch of free street parking in the neighborhood. read more

Have used around 6 or 7 different dry cleaners in my career, and none have ever matched the service at Rainbow. Frank and his staff do great work for a very affordable price, and have always had the garments ready next day. Now my go-to spot for laundry and alterations! read more

I brought a bunch of clothing items here after a bad experience at Giant Wash on Lyndale. Rainbow laundry is a very clean and organized facility. Staff is very friendly and greet you as you walk in the door. The attendant noticed I had a large amount of things to wash and directed me towards the larger washing machines which is what I needed. I cannot emphasize enough how bad my experience was with this cleaner. I needed a quick turnaround on a pressing of a suit and cleaning of a shirt for an interview in two days. They said no problem, come pick them up after noon the next day. When I picked them up and took them home, there were terrible problems with both! The suit (only worn twice before) was torn at the top button hole, where the button hole was now like a giant hole and there were terrible wrinkles underneath. The gray shirt was covered with white powder and stiff as a board. How do you even give this back to me in this condition? Nobody noticed? I took it back and the worker there (not the owner) reacted appropriately, she said they would try to fix it and she asked when I needed it, and said 8AM the next day. She said they would try. This was not assuring enough for me, so I went out and bought a new suit. I came back at 11AM the next day (after my interview), this time the owner was there, and he had the audacity to give me attitude for not being there at 8AM. Turns out I was right not to trust them, the wrinkles were gone from the suit, but the button-hole was still in terrible shape. Still gaping wide and was frayed everywhere on the inside. I asked the owner for a refund of the $14 they charged me. He looked at me like I was a jerk for asking. Keep in mind they permanently damaged a new suit, and screwed up in a completely different way on my shirt. How is it possible to even be that bad on two completely different things? I had to buy a new suit because of their terrible service. And all I asked for was a refund on the service, didn't even ask to pay damages on the suit. He asked if I would take half. He angrily counted out $7 out of his register and handed it to me. Seriously. I was civil to these people the entire time. I mean, accidents happen, but if you make an effort to make it right, I will treat you with respect. They tried to fix it, but they failed, and refused to take any responsibility. I took the suit to a real tailor to clean up the button-hole. It is no longer frayed, but the hole is still huge. Think about the buttonholes of your suit. They look like slits, you don't even know they are there. This one looks like a wide open mouth. Brand new suit. Unbelievable. read more

I've never used a laundromat before, but this was a great experience. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the owner was there helping people. He was very friendly, and advised us on the most efficient way to get our things clean. Totally deserves the highest rating. read more

I can't say nice enough things about this place! I had the best dry cleaning experience of my life. I came in with a sweater that had some really intense stains in it (maybe from makeup?) I wasn't exactly sure. Frank whipped out the bottle of shout immediately and proceeded to tell me that they "liked a challenge". When I picked it up the next day they had gotten ALL of the stains out. It looked brand new. They remembered me and greeted me with a smile! I will definitely be back. I've used their dry cleaning services twice, the first time for sweaters and a wool coat, the second time for a down coat. Everything was fine with the first set of things I had dry cleaned, but my down coat was ruined when I got it back. It hadn't been dried enough, so the feathers were clumped together throughout the coat and the entire thing smelled like mildew and wet dog. I've tried to clean it several times since then, but the smell is permanently there. Definitely won't be returning to Rainbow. read more

Great place to do laundry! I'm staying at a nearby hotel & didn't want to pay the crazy hotel laundry fees. This got great ratings on Yelp & I can see why. Very clean, washers look pretty new & for a double load, reasonably priced at $2.75. They also have triple load washers. There are three change machines & vending machines with soap & softener. There are several folding tables & carts. The manager is very friendly, helpful & has lots of diversions for while you wait - pool table, soda vending machine, video games, magazines, tv, etc. Much nicer than your typical laundromat. They have laundry service too but I'm just here to use the laundromat. Very nice, feel safe being here by myself. read more

I was very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the gentleman that was working, he greeted everyone that walked in the door and made sure everyone was well taken care of. The machines always work. Place seems clean and cared for. Julia was friendly and willing to help me out when my super heavy rug didn't dry in time and I had to get to a dr appointment. She was helpful, cheerful and helped me out in a pinch. I made sure I was back when I promised though and made sure to not take advantage. Friendly and helpful - hard to find anymore. I write this review as I sit on a comfy couch on sunday at 1:20pm on their free wi-fi. The laundromat is very clean. There aren't any TV's around but you can play pool for $1, the pool cues aren't half bad either. The place is very quiet!! It's crazy and it reminds me of a library. The people are whispering as they talk to each other.... Prices: 2.50/double load, 4.50/superload, 0.25 cents/6 min drying. I'm a fan of the establishment but not of their prices. read more
