I came here to do some laundry recently and the lady working was really nice and helpful. Usually when I go to laundromats, I only see other customers. She was talking to a lot of the customers there and was friendly to me too, so yeah, it was a great experience! On a side note, it's kind of hard to make a left turn into their parking lot when traffic is busy on Hennepin, so I'd recommend navigating there in such a way where you'd be heading south on Hennepin, thus making a right-handed turn into the parking lot. read more

I came in to Rainbow Laundry to dry clean my pea coat. I came in on a Saturday and it was done Monday at 2pm. Overall it was a good experience. Pros: They did a great job on the coat! Quick turn around for dry cleaning Friendly service attendants Parking lot- Make sure you don't pass it since it come up real quick right before you hit 26th. They will deliver for free but not after 5pm. Cons: $15 dollars for a pea coat. Not bad but I listed it as a con because their max price on their site is $13.99. Should be updated. This review is for their wash n' fold service - WHAT A GEM! Seriously, life changing awesome. I dropped off 36lbs of laundry (you pay per pound) at 10:00am, paid the $48.00 and returned to pick up clothes at 5:00pm, same day. I had never done a wash n' fold service before but with work I travel a TON and my laundry had gotten out of control. Figured, what could it hurt. When I picked up my clothes I found them all organized and sorted by item (socks with socks, pants with pants etc) and tightly bound together with saran wrap for easy organization and even the shirts/sweaters HUNG ON HANGERS! It was incredible. Came home, put my clothes away and I feel in control of my laundry room again. I am totally addicted and will 100% go back to Rainbow for their service again. Not only were the employees kind and helpful and funny but I haven't seen my twin size coverlet look so beautiful and clean ever. Not even when I bought it did it look this nice and it's over 5yrs old and has been in the trunk of my car for possibly more than a year and been camping with me several times!!! As a band on tour, little things go a long way. After being told by 1 laundromat they could do same day fluff n fold, we were in fact denied when we showed up. We scrambled last minute to find a laundromat, Rainbow assisted with open arms. Upon pickup, they told us they sewed on some missing buttons to items and gave a free laundry bag to a guy who had his dirty clothes in a plastic bag. I took my large bedding items to this laundry based on the Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. All sizes of washers and dryers were open and helpful. The staff was also friendly and willing to assist. I only took one star off because I've been used to my laundry back in Philadelphia where you got a card that you could refill via cash or credit so you didn't need to have cash on hand and get change. It really is the best laundromat/dry cleaners around. There is always an attendant on staff who's always friendly and helpful if you have any questions or need to break a bill. The washers are clean and they have three different sizes. They have TVs, a soda machine, free WiFi not to mention an ATM. I needed to wash my king-sized comforter and blanket and they are too big for my home washer. So I used Yelp to find this place. As soon as I walked in, the guy working there came to help me figure out how to get the job done. Since I was new there, I really appreciated his assistance. He was super friendly. The place was really clean and I felt comfortable their, reading my novel while I washed and dried my covers. I totally recommend it! This place is an awesome Laundromat with super clean, nice machines and an overall friendly staff. They also have a pretty quick dry cleaning service that is reasonably priced. There are couches, games, and a pool table, as well as wi-fi, so it's pretty hard to get bored while doing your laundry there. They usually have a steady amount of nice people coming in and out, and with the attendant always present, I never felt uncomfortable leaving my clothes in the washer/dryer and running over to Chipotle or something. I have been going to Rainbow for the better part of a year. I've done laundry there myself, used their dry cleaning services, and dropped off my laundry (they are the fast!). Dozens of interactions and I've never had a bad experience. It's affordable, clean, and I have 100% trust my items will not be lost. Frank, the owner, runs an efficient and honest operation. I had three pairs of jeans hemmed and I asked for a European style hem where the original bottom is kept on the pants and they said they understood. I just arrived home and all the hems were cut off. Rainbow is the best dry cleaner in the twin cities. Their prices are competitive and their services exceptional. Frank (the owner) is not only a pleasure to work with but also makes sure my clothes are cleaned well, and if not, he will send them back and let me know - what a perfectionist! Libby- Try hanging out sometime to see how much soap they actually put in those washers when you pay $1/lb. for your wash- I wouldn't want my underwear washed with 1/2 tsp. of soap- you're better off doing your own wash. I would never recommend this place- very cold, unfriendly service, & stinky, stained couches to sit in while you wait. Also, on my second visit, the washer broke and left me with soapy, sopping clothes. This place is 3.5 stars actually. It's clean, the owners/staff are very friendly and greet you, and this will most likely be my go-to for laundry until I get an apartment with washer/dryer in-unit. The loss of 2 stars are: it's a little small and the folding tables are small. There's free wifi but the only outlet I saw was in the corner away from any tables or chairs. My biggest annoyance is there aren't any smaller, cheaper washing machines; the smallest ones are front-loading for $2.75, and I ended up not doing a small load that would have been much better suited to a smaller top-loader. read more
