As an 11-year-old boy and some stuff is just really disgusting but this place is one of them one time I went there with my dad and I saw a rat crawling on the floor and I instantly jumped and they acted like it never happened and I was delusional and they also forget a ton of our food and since I have five whole family members less food is really bad cuz he has to go back and pay for it he's my dad just let you know and who wants to pay extra for food they already paid for like disgusting and they are so rude the service is so bad and someone really needs to come check that rate for the clean ness like bro one I bet someone probably came out of there in an ambulance it is so disgusting in there and the food the beef smells horribly and pungent so I am rating them a 1 read more

The food is just great! The service is always good too! Nice little place to stop by!

Always great food. Excellent, quick service and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. We usually call in for take outs, and the phone service is always great and accurate when we get our orders. read more

We live nearby and carry out dinner several times a month. We've always been happy with our selections. I like the shrimp dishes, and the shrimp are large and always delicious. The soups are all hot, and tasty. Even the rice is well cooked and not gummy. I've never had a dish I didn't enjoy. All the girls are friendly and polite. When you call ahead, they seem to know which order belongs to you when you arrive. We always get carry out. We'll be back over and over. read more

Absolutely disgusting!! We got the Chinese restaurant standards and they tasted tough and awful. The restaurant is so dirty and the food is questionable. The family that owns it live right down the street and keep numerous animals in the back of their home. There are rumblings in the community that they have a freezer outside filled with different kinds of meat. What kind you ask? Well our parents adopted their abused dog that was chained outside in an enclosure that had several litters of puppies. Many of the puppies were not given to the rescues and the owners handled them not in a manor that an animal should be carried. So besides having a dirty restaurant they are animal abusers. The community does not need to support this disgusting establishment. read more

I love their steamed dumplings and hot & sour soup. Family likes General Tso's and the lo mein.

Really great food!! Nice staff and they were super fast!! Best Chinese takeout in the area

The food is filling and delicious the family owned company is a beautiful place to eat at

I am grateful for this Chinese restaurant here in Bunn. Just think how far we'd have to go for decent Chinese if not for this family. I have gone here for so long I can't even remember. Yes I have gotten a few bad meals here but all in all the food is very good. So you keep cooking Rainbow Garden and I'll keep ordering. read more

My husband and I recently bought a house in Bunn NC and my love of Chinese food, we were bound to run into Rainbow Garden! I usually base my recommendations on lo mein, soup & soup noodles, crab rangoons, egg rolls and chicken wings. We were totally surprised when everything we've tried has been DELICIOUS ! You rarely find a restaurant where everything is good. Every weekend we come up to work on the house, it's either dinner or lunch. Enexpensive, fast service, clean, wheel chair accessible accommodations, parking and restrooms. Free parking, also wheel chair accessible read more

There isn't many restaurants in Bunn to choose from but this is probably one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to go to. I've been to many but it's just not the same. I love their Crab Rangoons and their Singapore Mei fun. I also love the fact that their shrimp taste like shrimp because I don't know if y'all have noticed but sometimes eating shrimp from certain restaurants taste a little funny but that's not the case with them. The owners are also very friendly. They also always remember what I like and they already have that set aside for me. Thanks! Fast service and good food. They also keep it very tidy which is something I also look for because I don't want to sit in a place where they haven't even bothered cleaning up. read more

Recently, I was able to return and try another meal. I easily ordered ahead by phone and promised my meal in "ten minutes". My meal was ready as promised. Rainbow Garden packages take out meals in quality containers so the food is not crushed, leaking or cold. While it seems like a minor point, nothing irritates me more than when arriving at home, my car not only smells like a Chinese restaurant but looks like a stained tablecloth at a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant has a few booths for eating at their location but for this style of food, I prefer take out. I have been impressed by the fact that the place looks clean and at each of my three visits an employee is cleaning the floors or walls. Their Hunan Chicken was well prepared, mildly spicy as requested, generous in the portion size and with a nice ratio of chicken to vegetables. Properly cooked with fresh al dente vegetables and tender chicken, I found this to be simple and enjoyable. The white rice has always been fresh, not overcooked, starchy or clumped together. I usually avoid egg rolls, especially shrimp egg rolls, because there is never any shrimp inside for which they charge extra. No restaurant of this caliber makes their own, they are purchased as a frozen product and simply cooked on site. On top of that, they have the taste of month old deep fryer oil. In this case, forget what I just described !! While these clearly are not a homemade product, they were cooked properly to a gentle crispiness with a very clean taste. I even found and tasted the unexpected: Shrimp. There was one inconsistency with fried won tons which were overdone resulting in dry, tough to chew morsels. That was one minor error but I still think this is a consistent solid American style take out Chinese joint. Enjoy ! read more

Mediocre food, terrible customer service, not a good price. I called in to order food, after I stated my order the lady said "it will be ready" and hung up with no time estimate or confirmation of order. When I arrived the food was ready but the lady at the register was very short (words wise) she asked for my card, I gave it to her (no mention of price) then she tossed it back on the table in my direction. The food was decent, the steak pieces are small and all cooked the same (well done, no customer preference.) when I got home I saw that I was charged $11 for a lunch item that is 7.25 on every menu they have. read more

Glad for local Chinese option! Love their Spareribs on the bone! A long while ago had gotten them here when house hunting, and I still remember how great they are! Now that we've moved here, it's our 'go to' Asian option for 'Take Out'! Thank goodness there is one here near Lake Royale! YAYAYAY Hubster typically chooses their Pepper Steak. I also enjoy their Wonton Soup, and several other options, especially Orange Shrimp! read more

The quality of food has gone way downhill in the past two years. The staff, especially the younger girl who takes the phone orders and handles cash, has gotten extremely rude. I paid $18 dollars for sub par general tsos chicken combo and french fries with chicken nuggets. The nuggets were dripping with grease and not crunchy, the fries were tinted green, and I added 2 drinks to my order. She apparently had ran my order, and scrunched up her face to where I could tell even with her wearing a mask. She added the drink charge to the tip amount and said sign the receipt. There was no spot to sign the receipt, and I could barely hear her. Again she made a face and a scoff. I will never go back again. read more

This food was the worst Chinese food I ever ate in my life! The eggs rolls all four were burnt, the wonton soup tasty old and nasty! The Crunchy noodles were stale as heck! When I asked if they had fresh noodles they said no! I will not ever go back to this hole in the wall place again! read more

Called for delivery and was informed they do not deliver when it clearly says they deliver!

We've been going here for years but lately quality hasn't been a major factor. Our most recent meal, which I'll chalk down to it being a Friday night. We've previously realized Friday nights are busy nights & food is possibly prepped ahead in expectation of a rush. Either way, the egg rolls were burnt & tasted scorched, the chicken was not fresh & had been sitting. The Lo Mein had an excessive amount of cabbage I belong & just wasn't as expected ( keep in mind we've had it here several times). We've been sneaking off to No 1 in Spring Hope because the food usually has more flavor. My husband also had wonton soup that specific night & he gets it VERY often & said it tasted completely watered down. read more

I eat here once a week. Never had a bad meal. It is standard Chinese takeout and I expect large portions and that's what I get (usually lasts two meals). I always get combination Hun-an Chicken (white rice) for my wife and combination Hun-an Beef (pork fried rice) for me. Also, the hot and sour soup is great. Their meat is USDA certified and they have an "A" inspection rating. Bunn is a small town and we are grateful to have them here. They hire local teenagers to take your order. They are always polite and courteous. Not sure what was unsatisfied in 2015 but in 2016 they are worth a try. Tell them the Hun-an Beef and Chicken (white rice) with side of Hot and Sour Soup order guy told you to try again. read more

I was unsatisfied with the meal. I found bits of steel wool in my food and couldn't even finish it. I had stomach issues after I ate it and so did my friend who ate there also. This was a two star on yelp before we ate there but we gave it a chance because it was close by and we were hungry. Not a good idea. read more

I have eaten at the Rainbow Garden a few times. The food is simple and drinks are selected from a stand up soda refrigerator. When I have been, the restaurant has always been clean. Their taste is of the americanized-chinese variety. It's an okay place to go for something different once in awhile. I have no major complaints, but I'm not jumping out of my chair to go either. read more

Very consistant. Usually a kid (student) at the register, which is good, she's the only one that speaks understandable English. Clean, well prepared. No msg headache yet. We are regular customers. Living at Lake Royale, having a discerning palette can be frustrating without a 40 minute drive. Rainbow Garden meets a nice need out here where Subway & a Pizza were the only choices. Give it a try, we are regulars and always will be. Thanks Rainbow Garden and welcome to Bunn. read more
