When I finally dig an inspector out, he said there was no issue whatsoever and that I was fine to just clean up some minor water spots on an interior window and do a better job caulking. I finally went for a second opinion, and not only did they find the nails were not galvanized and installed on top of the roof instead of on the side, water had leaked in quite drastically leading to a $3000 repair. This other company literally walked on top of my roof and with her bare hands, picked up the entire tack strip that is supposed to keep things glued down. She couldn't believe the nails that were used and the placement but more so, that this was said to be 'no issue' by a professional. Your guy that came out to investigate literally never even put his hand on it to wiggle it around and see if there was an issue, he just looked - no ladder, just climbed part of my balcony and looked. If I had listened to him and just caulked the interior window so that more water wouldn't have come through, this would've continued and become an absolutely horrific problem. I know customer service agents aren't always a reflection of the company but this gentleman was a 'master installer' his words. I'm not sure what there is more to say, but as a business owner you may want to know. As an aside, I do appreciate that even months later, someone responded to this. I have a metal roof and gutters with gutter guards. They company that used to do an excellent job on my roof (I'll call them "JB") is a janitorial firm that appears to no longer do roofs. I called AA based on reviews and explained that my roof was quite dirty with pollen and was clear with them it was metal. They said they would come and blow the roof off and see what else could be done. They did NOT come right out and say they could not clean up pollen. They quoted me a price lower than the previous company had been charging, so I scheduled the work about three weeks out. The tech came out late in the afternoon, spent a LOT of time looking around and talking to the office and then told me that they could only blow debris off. To do a wash would take two people a full day and cost around $2,000. Sorry, that's NOT going to happen! I said go ahead and blow the roof off, there was plenty of Douglas fir cones and other debris that needed to come off anyway. The work was fine for what it was, though there's still a mess of pollen up there. I would have preferred that they just say "we don't clean metal roofs because you won't be happy with the results."

Jerrod's work was extremely professional from start to finish. One side of our gutter had some minor damage, and the original contract was to replace that section. After carefully inspecting it, Jerrod told us that a full replacement was not necessary and that he could fix it instead. He contacted the company to update them and ended up saving us about $500. That level of honesty really impressed us. In addition, Jerrod did a very thorough inspection of our roof and checked for any moss-related damage. He helped us apply Moss-B-Ware to protect the roof and noticed that we didn't have enough product to fully cover it. Without hesitation, he used some of his own Moss-B-Ware at no additional charge--both the materials and extra work were completely free. He also took extra time to explain how to properly protect and maintain our roof going forward, which we truly appreciated. He went above and beyond what was expected. Overall, we are VERY happy with Jerrod's service. We will definitely hire High Point Gutter again for our roof next year and in the years to come. Highly recommended! Then, Evan K. followed up with a passive-aggressive email, also complete with a smiley face emoji, continuing the interaction unnecessarily. After that, my number appears to have been blocked, and I was no longer able to reach anyone at the company. Regardless of pricing, this level of communication is extremely unprofessional. However, the weeks that followed involved multiple return visits and repeated attempts on our part to resolve concerns privately. Because these issues remained unresolved for nearly a month, we felt it was important to share our experience for future customers. Because water was actively leaking into our home, we moved forward quickly after the salesperson explained that the job would include replacing the roof plywood and installing a gutter downspout extension. We paid a $2,000 deposit that same day. Although the contract was signed electronically, we did not receive a copy for five days, despite being told it would be sent immediately. During that time, the salesperson became unresponsive -- and when we contacted the company office to follow up, they initially had no record that we had signed a contract or paid a deposit. That was extremely concerning given the urgency of the situation. After the repair was completed, we finally received the written contract -- and only then realized that it did not match what we had been told. The gutter extension was not included in the document, and the plywood had only been partially replaced, even though we had understood the replacement would cover the full section.
