I feel very sorry for the home owner when she sees how they've destroyed her so-called replaced roof. The eaves painters (not from Tony's) are here now and are AGHAST at the shoddy workmanship that was done by Tony's Roof Care. But to detail the nightmare that took place over an entire month, a job I was told would take 2-3 days, I hardly know where to begin and must try to make this brief enough to be enlightening information for the intelligent shopper of roof repair. We own a large puppy, our joy and family member. Tony's Roof Care nearly killed our dog! I wish I could provide pictures for all to see! The dangerously razor-sharp metal (no exaggeration) that I took from my puppy's mouth brought me to tears. And this happened not once, but TWICE. The second time was a month later, this week, when Tony's Roof Care finally decided to finish the corners of this pathetic roof replacement job. Some guy comes pounding on my door in the a.m., no phone call to announce himself, and the one thing I made very clear is that I HAVE A PUPPY SO DO NOT THROW ANYTHING on the grounds that he can pick up. WELL GUESS WHAT! This jerk not only dropped/chucked the SECOND piece of sharp metal that I discovered IN MY DOG'S MOUTH - AGAIN - but he left the entire 7" X 9" sheet he cut it from! IN MY GARDEN! OMG!!! AS if this were not enough to deter anyone from hiring this company, I will now explain the GARBAGE that was left all our the house, NIGHT AFTER NIGHT! The mess that was left all around the home was absolutely incredulous! I picked up over 30 cigarette butts (we don't smoke!) several retrieved from puppy's mouth, but there has been a never-ending supply of roofing nails, old and rusty from the removal of old roof, nails of various sizes, nails with a metal washer around them, like a giant thumbtack, one of several which I found in the bottom of my shoe! When they began the job we were told the dumpster would be in the driveway for 2-3 days. I was several days! We could not park in our garage for over a week. When the dumpster was finally removed, they threw a tarp in the driveway and used THAT for their trash, including plywood, nails, fast-food TRASH, nails, tacks, old roofing materials, wrappings, etc, etc. We still could not use our garage for yet another week!! Over the course of 4 weeks it took 6 phone calls and the property management company that hired Tony's Roof Care to get this company to send someone out here to clean the inside of the garage with a shop-vac. When they pulled off the old roof everything we own was left COVERED in dirt and junk that had fallen inside. Endless conversations I endured with this company while they claimed it wasn't their responsibility to clean up the mess. I had to beg them to CLEAN UP THEIR MESS! It took the property management company and 5 RETURN VISITS before the grounds of this home were actually cleaned up from all the debris and cigarette butts and roofing material wrappings that were flying everywhere from the carelessness Tony's Roof Care. It was a horrible experience, the worst of it being their utter disregard and disrespect for our precious dog! Keep shopping! Our next door neighbor just had their roof replaced by TRI-STATE Roofing. TWO days and they were DONE with a composition roof, and not a single bit of trash was left on their property! I wish Tri-State had come here instead of Tony's! Our experience was nothing but grief with Tony's Roof Care. And you should see the horrible job they did! The homeowner is going to be so upset when she returns and sees this roof! It's literally concave on one end of the house. Wow, glad it's not our house!
