Food was excellent. We requested extra bread (party of 6) to have with our appetizers and waiter told us it was Wednesday and did not have enough bread. They were expecting delivery the next day. Eventually waiter appeared with extra bread. read more

Was a member of a private room dinner party in April. Everything was absolutely amazing. Everything. I wish I knew the name of the female waitress so I could specifically tell you what a wonderful job she did. ( older lady with shoulder length brown hair and glasses ) she was amazing and if you asked for something she would appear with it in under a minute like a genie! It was a 5 course dinner that exceeded our expectations. We had been here previously but a long way back. Maybe 15 or so years prior. Hasn't changed. Phenomenal food and service ! 5 stars. Excellent job! read more

The food is amazing, the service was amazing. Overall this dining experience was amazing. Although it was BYOB which I didn't mind, it didn't stop us from getting our buzz on and having a great time. The gnocchis which came as a side to the Chicken Sorrentino, was the BEST I have ever had. It had huge pieces of short rib and hr sauce was so delicious. The chicken was great as well, it was a very unique sauce and I truly enjoyed. Hats off to the chef. read more

Excellent service and well prepared food Quaint Italian resturant and the staff and food quality is very important to me Nice to find a place like this . Yes the prices are slightly above average but I am returning because I know the food it good Brought in a party of 7 and seated with a reservation right on time! I'm impressed and that's not easy to do since I rate fairly and objectively . If it's bad you will know it it it's average my review will identify the shortcomings Can't say anything really negative about this I did return. However Here is my recommendation &opinions The food is good the service is not bad, Except ! On both occasions after we're served and finished our entrees. The same thing happened The waitress seems to go missing in action The fist visit on Jun 9th After waiting 25 min with no return we elected to not have desert & coffee. Because after waiting for her to come back. On June 14 the same scenario waitress disappeared for 25 min This time we waited I can't figure this out You can't turn tables unless you staff is all onboard! The gig here is why the disconnect. We told the person in charge but. This kind of situation can easily turn a good experience into a bad one Management needs to OBSERVE its easy enough to fix it read more

Place looks nice and staff is nice, however the policy's are agregiuos! From no sharing plates we had two 12 year olds with us and another lite eater. Money hungry owners with fair quality food that's overpriced! read more

Simply awesome. Although this has changed owners it's still the same consistent high quality delicious food that never disappoints for the last 30 years! Get the stracciatella soup, flounder francaise and cannoli. read more

Love this place Food is excellent It's a byob so that helps with the bill Waiters are very friendly

Amazing meal and service! We had the beet salad, shrimp and veal.. the food will never disappoint. Our server Carly killed it again! Thank you for all you did to make our anniversary special! read more

We went there for the first time the other day. It's just ok. It's another LBI tourist trap open all year. Prices are high for the quality of the food. I will not be going back. read more

We were very happy to see the variety on the menu. Our server, was excellent. That's where the quality ended. The prices on the online menu were different than the menu that we were handed when we sat down. Unfortunately, all four of us had problems with our meals. Anything that was breaded was very dry and overcooked. The "fried oyster" on the Ceasar Salad was just a piece of overly fried dough. The grilled octopus was too dry and chewy. The Parmesan dish was overly breaded, too thin, overly fried and dry. The sauces on the over cooked pasta was just ordinary. read more

The filet is out of this world. Might be the best we have ever had! The portions are small for the cost. They have done a nice job with outdoor dining during covid. If you don't mind paying for an expensive dinner, this is the place to go. read more

Covid Review: This place is awesome. Classic, Italian dinner spot, with a kind and accommodating staff. Erica and Kayley did their best to pivot during a rain shower vs. outdoor tables, and honored the customers with reservations waiting. Our waiter, Kenny, was the sweetest, and couldnt have been more pleasant. Seating and service felt incredibly safe, and we all thoroughly enjoy our meals. read more

We had a horrible experience on 8/11/21. Ate there many times but my guess is the new owners are unable to provide the same service. We had an 8:00 reservation, received the wrong salads an hour later, a cold and burned Hot Antipasto 30 min later and finally our lukewarm entrees served at 9:45. The staff apologized explaining they had a large party in the other room. Later the staff and owner rudely asked if we have a problem when we politely asked for our food. We were more than patient knowing the island is short staffed, but this was totally bizarre service. Being locals, we will never return there. read more

We had dinner here for the first time with some family while visiting for a long weekend. The food was stellar and the service was prompt and polite. We especially enjoyed our entrée choices: scallops and the pork chop calabrese. Both were delicious and filling. I would absolutely return. BYOB is also a plus. read more

First time at Raimondo's tonight. What a treat! The service was attentive yet unobtrusive. The decor was elegantly casual. The food was WOW! Each course was delicious. I started with the Pasta Fagioli soup and my wife said it was just like her first generation Italian grandmother used to make. It had bacon in it which is a giveaway for an authentic Italian recipe. My wife started with the chilled mozzarella, tomato, artichoke and a few other delicious ingredients. The second course were salads and the Caesar salad was light and delicious with homemade croutons and dressing. My wife's pear salad was very tasty. For main courses my wife chose the sesame encrusted tuna in a Cabernet reduction with garlic sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes as sides. I had the gnocchi bolognese. Both dishes were incredible and were very lightly seasoned so you could taste the main ingredient rather than having it buried under sauces or spices. We highly recommend this restaurant and I'll be back there next Friday with my colleagues from work!! read more

I use to eat at this restaurant as a kid way too many times to count but to say the least this restaurant has changed and not for the better. My family and I were in the area again so it was a must go to as this was my families favorite restaurant for years. I ordered a Salad, Filet Mignon, and a Chocolate Lava Cake with Salted Caramel Ice Cream. The Salad and dessert were fair. Now the 45$ Filet Mignon was not worth the money what so ever. Also while in the restaurant the table behind us were complaining about their food and talking about how the restaurant has changed. This restaurant earned a 3 stars solely off of what the restaurant use to be. read more

Food here was amazing. Great at social distancing, all staff was wearing masks. A little loud near the road but honestly food was so good and so was the service, that this was the smallest inconvenience. Will be coming back. Good portion size too. BYOB read more

I visited Raimondo's on June 19, 2020. The service was impeccable. The waiters and waitresses wore their protective gear but still did their best to make the experience a five star feel. We enjoyed our meals outdoor in the patio seating area. Although it's a little noises due to the Main Street traffic the food drowned out the sound. I highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass over shrimp risotto! read more

Been dinning here for a long time and I think this will be the last time. Hair on my appetizer and my entree, Not once but twice, very disappointing and the waitress not even saying anything she said sorry after we told her what happened. We know its not her fault but who ever is managing that night could have something. Will never come to this restaurant again. read more

we have not been here in about 5 years ... wished we didn't wait so long ..food was great and the service was amazing (Cathy). could only get a 5 pm res but that was ok, no rush, great evening read more

The food was fantastic. Awesome bread to start, the crispy eggplant with the burrata was amazing, and although I was pretty full, the chicken parm was one of the best I ever had. My friends I was with loved their seafood dishes. The waiter was super polite and personable, only complaint was that he disappeared the last 40 minutes and we had to ask someone else to get him to get us the check but they were also busy and probably short staffed. read more

A 20% gratuity is added on for parties of 5, but it is not noted anywhere on their menu. I usually have no problem with this if the service is impeccable, but this Zagat rated establishment, which sells itself as a high-end dining experience, relies on young, inexperienced, untrained wait-staff and management that do not understand that that 20% is only deserved when every detail has been covered. While the food was prepared and plated well and clearly brought to the table right after preparation there were some problems with the service and a very rude manager who brusquely addressed our table when we questioned the 20% gratuity and the lack of attention to details. She rudely announced that is not the restaurants policy to clean out dirty unused glassware and plates while it is indeed their policy to add 20% on bills. and stalked off muttering that she had never in 20 years in the restaurant business been questioned on this. There was one sweep after delivering entrees to see if anything was needed and very sparse attention thereafter, other wait-staff had to be asked to inform our server of requests on more than one occasion. Used champagne glasses were left on the table after we had moved on to wine, refills for water were ignored for which requests had to made twice, the bread basket was not replenished upon request and the server had to prompted to offer coffee and dessert when it was clear that she was anxious to end her shift. Finally the bill arrived at the table with the final plates from desert and coffee still present and the table top not crumbed. I expect excellent, and attentive service when the gratuity is automatically tacked on and if the wait staff is so overwhelmed that they cannot attend to the simple tasks of clearing out unused glasses and dishes and cleaning the table top of crumbs then hire bus staff for this. read more

You're stranded on an 18-mile island and there's only one restaurant on it. Would you want it to be Raimondo's? Not me. To be honest, it hasn't be disastrous but it's always the same aside from a few specials added here and there. Not to mention that its menu mirrors almost every other on the island: crab cakes, pork chops, sea bass, caesar salad, chocolate peanut butter pie. Can we get a little variety out here? It's maddening that I have more to choose from at the teeny tiny prepared foods store, Foodies. On a positive note Raimondo's has friendly service and it's BYO. So, at the very least, you can get drunk and forget that you're paying $30 for a slab of meat. read more

Before choosing Raimondo's for my parent's 25th Anniversary dinner, we had eaten there twice and enjoyed both visits. We were a large group of 14, and were hoping to not have to order from their party menu. They obliged - brownie points for that Raimondo's! But then it all went downhill from there. The servers listed specials, came back 2 minutes later just to tell us they were sold out. We asked for water FIVE times before getting any, were constantly opening our own wine bottles, were served good (not great, but definitely solid) food but with teeny tiny portions at astronomical prices. Overall a very disappointing night for such a special occasion. Cafe Aleta is much better and MUCH more reasonably-priced. Too bad Yellow Fin didn't have any openings that night :( read more

Disappointing meal from a restaurant once considered one of the best on LBI. Large portions do not remedy mediocre cooking and presentation. Special Chilean Sea Bass slightly overcooked and swimming in a sea of sauce. Well prepared prawns over a bed of tough broccoli rabe. Veal Milanese a very generous portion topped with an excellent arugula salad. Dinner for 3 was $147 plus tip. Nothing was bad but very little was excellent. Ambiance and service are very good. read more

We go often to RAIMONDO'S especially when we have weekend visitors. We have NEVER had a bad meal-EVER. Lisa (Raymond's wife) is always sweet and courteous. Rich who has been there for 20 years always remembers us. Lisa our favorite waitress is cool, funny and full of personality. We love her! The nicest thing is that if you want any change with your entree there is never a problem. We always make a reservation because 'season' at LBI is very busy. We have never had a problem. Ps. The bathrooms are as clean as the restaurant!! read more

Really wanted to try them. The short rib ravioli was calling my name. However, multiple attempts to call both numbers on the website at 8 PM on a Saturday night resulted in nobody picking up. Fantastic and cozy restaurant with great service and food (Italian). Definitely one of the more upscale places on the island - you'll pay for it - but it's worth it. We went and brought our own bottle of wine (BYOB) and had a romantic and quite tasty dinner. read more

I've been here many times with my family and have never be disappointed. It's absolutely worth every penny. The atmosphere is special and they are always family friendly. Last night I enjoyed a lightly breaded Shrimp Oreganata with Broccoli Rabe and Linguini. My sister munched on a flash fried lobster tail that was absolute perfection and my brother in law took delight in a Shrimp Puttanesca with fettuccine. Every dish is truly spectacular. Yummy Italian seafood every single time. Also if you remember a favorite dish, from a previous menu there, tell the waiter and they will make it for you. read more

Raimondo's on LBI is a great spot for a wonderful modern Italian meal. With a romantic atmosphere and a flair for dramatic plating, one can settle in for a delicious meal. by the way ... it's BYOB! We started with the Spedini alla Romana, which was a hearty and flavorful way to start our meal. It was a bit on the heavy side, so we wouldn't recommend ordering it if you're going for a pasta entrée. We got the veal with prosciutto, fontina cheese and a hard-boiled egg and the pork chop with hot and sweet vinegar peppers onions and crispy potatoes in a rosemary wine sauce for our entrees. Both dishes were flawlessly executed, but our favorite was the pork because of its strong flavors and generous portion size. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we recommend grabbing your favorite bottle of wine and stopping in! read more

We had dinner for 2 last night. We were seated almost immediately however, after being settled at the table , the waiter and hostess asked us to move so they could accommodate a large party . After confusion as to where to place us we were seated with an apology. ( an appetizer on the house would have been more appropriate). In addition we asked to be seated at a table by the front door that had 4 place settings ( we were 2 people) and were told that particular table was to be used for 4. Two minutes later the hostess sat 2 people at the table we had requested ! After reading reviews we chose two dishes. While the shrimp parm was fair ( smallest portion of spaghetti ever seen) the hot antipasto was hardly edible and extremely salty. In summary, disorganized seating, poor service, horrible food and extremely expensive and limited menu made for a poor dining experience! read more

Great!! Was a little skeptical based on what I read... But very pleased. We had the Osso buco, veal scaloppini and the chicken (we were all tired of seafood). Every single dish, appetizer, salad, main courses, were excellent. In fact, maybe a bit too much food. That's my only complaint, that they will not let you share a main course without charging you extra; that makes you feel a bit like you're being gouged. Another way to look at it: my wife and I can't eat there, each order a salad/appetizer, and then share a main course without a significant upcharge. A bit more flexibility and they'd get 5 stars. The food was fresh, well prepared, tasty and served professionally. Good luck with the summer time weekend crowds, maybe try to go off season. read more

This was my first time eating here and it doesn't live up to hype. My wife and I order a Cesar salad and green salad with raspberries. The raspberries had mold on them. When we told the waiter, he took it back to the kitchen and that was that. He didn't take the charge off the bill. We didn't ask for it to be removed, but a good restaurant would do it without having to asked. So we were not impressed. For entrees, we ordered the Chilean sea bass and flounder. Both were good, but not special. Bottom line is that the food is not worth the expense. We have had better meals at Roberto's and Pinziminos. read more

Went on a Monday, during Covid, after Labor Day. LBI was a ghost town and there were 3 tables dining outside with about 12 tables open, as well as the entire indoor seating, but they turned my mom and I away because we had no reservation. The host was a total snob. I'm glad we didn't get a table there. read more

Honestly so disappointed in this restaurant. I tried calling for a month to get a reservation and not once did they answer the phone. I also left 3 messages and never got a response. Then I tried calling for takeout because they have no option to order online and again they did not answer so I drove their to place an order and they told me they were going to get too busy so they couldn't do takeout even though every table was empty. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed. Very poor customer service. read more
