We wanted to try this restaurant for a while. it gets business all year round, and we live very close. I have some pluses and minuses to share. Simply: overpriced for what you get. Positives: kitchen does delicious. Caesar salad: tasty dressing. My dish: shrimp scampi on top of linguini. Three super large shrimp on sauced pasta. Tasty Spouse: veal medallions over spinach with mashed potatoes. All delicious. Waiter was ok. Negatives: Higher than most similar restaurant prices with crummy extras and stupid rules?! Bread service: the nice olive oil served with Doughy white sub par Italian style bread. Why even bother to serve it. Our dinner deserved a better bread course . RULES AGAINST sharing entree: WHY? Leftover style restaurant food is never that great. My husband and I usually have two or three appetizers, particularly to try new restaurant, then desert and like to share entree. We wanted to share the large prime rib special and have two appetizers and salad. NOT PERMITTED!!?! We were told that we could have appetizer as entree, but our server when asked, offered limited Details what that meant or cost. And that is not what we THE PATRON wanted. I guess the owners do not go by what customers want. See other reviews on this ridiculous rule at this place. So two regular entrees , and one basic small Caesar salad No desert or wine or drinks. all for $80.00. With tip: $100. With RULES FOR THE CUSTOMER TO ABIDE..."or no soup for you"..... Sorry they have this rule. Raimondo's will not see us as often as we would like. read more

World class menu with impeccably executed dishes. Worth the drive off the parkway, but you better call at least a week in advance. This BYO exceeds expectations at every turn. read more

Probably the best Italian restaurant on LBI. However, recently sold so we'll have to see if it changes. Small, elegant dining area. Upscale, large delicious menu. BYOB. Free parking. Patient friendly experienced servers. Any pasta dish is great. read more

Just returned from a mediocre experience. Let me start by saying the food was excellent. The service, however was horrible. We waited over an hour for apps, and then one of the entrees was incorrect. Scallops were delivered for my wife rather than the salmon she ordered. Instead of acknowledging the error, the waiter had a story about a busy kitchen and "the wrong ticket" He said the food would be right out, as though the salmon was ready and waiting in the kitchen. Ten minutes later, after the other 3 entrees were getting cold, the salmon arrived. My wife politely asked the waiter to be honest about the error rather than a convoluted story. Instead, he doubled down. We asked for the salmon to be comped, and he returned with an offer from the manager for a 15% discount! I have never heard of this type of discount or poor service. After waiting over 10 minutes for the check, the owner appeared with the check. I asked for the manager, and she identified herself as the owner. I mentioned the poor service and the mistake. Now in my experience, most owners would be apologetic and offer a comp. Instead, she said they were short staffed (which I know many businesses are) and said the $5 discount was in the final check. She clearly had no interest in us or cared how we felt. My last time at Raimondos! read more

I had high expectations for Raimondo's but was disappointed the minute I stepped in. The service was extremely slow and very incompetent whether it was the lack of filling up water (only once during the meal), misinformation about the food, and general attitude when serving us. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU WANT A HEALTHY MEAL. Everything was extremely heavy and drenched in cream or heavy sauce. This is not an ideal menu for people who are trying to eat healthy. On top of that, the food itself was poorly cooked and tasted gross. Not a high quality place but pretends to be. Never stepping foot in here again! read more

My Wife and I had a wonderful dinner last night We shared a Jumbo Shrimp.cocktail , only wish shrimp would be chilled, shrimp tasted warm never the less it was delicious. We also had an order each of the pork chops, melts in your mouth. A bit pricey but worth the experience. Service was great.BYOB read more

Can't even get anyone to pick up the phone to make a reservation and if you leave a message they don't call you back. we left multiple messages for different weeks and no calls Back. last time we ate there was last year and it was outside and we had to leave because our food was Infested with gnats! We had to argue about the bill. we didn't even eat it. We couldn't. read more

We went to this restaurant as our big expensive meal on our vacation anticipating it was going to be very good and we were not at all disappointed! We all loved our food and the server was great, she was so nice and attentive I just wish I remembered her name! We are very excited to return in the future. read more

The only reason I give a 2 is because our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. HOWEVER, we were greeted by the owner who should not be at the front door. We were actually shocked to hear she was the owner. First, we waited a good five minutes with not so much as an acknowledgement while she was on the phone. When I finally did give my name, she told me that I called that afternoon and cancelled. When I told that I did not phone this afternoon to cancel, she proceeded to tell me that I did. I pulled my phone out to show her that there was no call to her that day and she pointed to her number from the previous day and said, "That's me." I proceeded to tell her that was when I called to make the reservation. Why would an owner argue with a customer?? She was then clearly angry and very snippy. This is so upsetting as it was one of our favorites and we definitely will not be back. How can you support an establishment whose OWNER treats her customers in such a way?? read more

we were a party of 6 ordered plenty of appetizers and when it was time to order dinner suggested that one dinner plate would be shared because there was too much food. We were told by waitress if we shared we would have to charge for two full dinners. If you can't eat, who is to tell you that you must order a meal? the bill was over 400 and food was nothing great. We will never go back again and it will be their loss right out of their pocket. read more

I understand the restaurant is under new ownership. I never write a review but I felt I needed to write how horrible the wine and meal were. The wine from a local winery was undrinkable and I'm no wine expert. The chicken Marsala was not edible. Need I say more. read more

Honestly the best steak I've ever had. The service was amazing. I would definitely recommend!!

Maybe the A team in the kitchen was off last night. Service was great but the food B-

Very good Italian/ seafood on LBI. 5 stars to the manager who seated us in spite of reservation snafu. The Chilean sea bass over risotto was top notch. Worth a visit read more

Raimondo's is one of my new favorite spots! My family and I went here this past weekend & were more than pleased! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh! The sizes are HUGE portions, so be prepared to leave with a full tummy! We had 7 people and ordered many different dishes (chicken parmigiana, stuffed veal, flounder, eggplant parmigiana & more) and they were all made perfectly! It is a small restaurant with an awesome ambiance! Definitely give it a try!! read more

Not good and not worth the price at all. Chicken Marsala was thick and chewy and my carrots were burned. I mean, they were completely black. It was so off putting. My friend got the ravioli and she said it was like having fatty beef stew on top of ravioli, of which there were only four. Terrible. Skip it! read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and its always getting better and better. I am from NY, and to come to LBI for a little getaway, I must always stop at Raimondo's for a great dinner. It is definitely one of the pricier restaurants on the island, but is worth it! The food is amazing!! it is also BYOB :) read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants on LBI. We were introduced to it two years ago and have never had a bad meal here. My favorites include the chicken sorentina, scallop and risotto special, crab cakes over angel hair, and the Osso buca special. My son loves salmon bruschetta appetizer and the filet minion. I had the meatball and ricotta appetizer last night and loved it too. Favorite desserts include the fresh berries with sambuca and zabaglione cream and the profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Last night I also enjoyed the Italian ricotta cheesecake. The atmosphere is nicer than most places on the island. It is also byob. I love this place. read more

I have been coming to the island for 40 years. My wife and I come to Riamondo's with friends 1-2 times per summer and find that is it always excellent. The food and staff do not disappoint. You can not go wrong eating here. read more

I know this place is a mainstay and have heard people say good things about it. First time dining here and it was certainly a disappointment. Nothing to gripe about except the food was just average. read more

Amazing restaurant have been here a bunch of times. I always enjoy the gnocchi it is really just amazing. A nice small restaurant that really serves fancy and great quality food. read more

Wow they sure are lucky they have awesome staff & they're the only game in town in March. Food was just ok at a crazy price! Pasta was aldente in some spots over cooked in others. Seafood was so spicy it couldn't be eaten! Good news appetizers were delicious. By the way the attached menu - nope those are NOT options. read more

Bad service, bad food, too expensive, so just don't go here. There is better food literally anywhere else on the island.

Me and my fiancé went this past weekend and we LOVED it. I've been going to LBI since I was a child but I've never been there. Definitely recommend a reservation. Food and appetizers were delicious. They are BYOB but they sell Sharrott Winery wine. We bought the half bottle since we are light drinkers and and it was perfect. Food was delicious and fresh. Service was excellent and restaurant was beautiful. Definitely coming back. read more

Went for New Year's - we were a party of 8. Everything was fantastic! We were seated promptly at 7pm. Our waitress was friendly and very professional. The appetizers- main course - and dessert were exceptional! From beginning to end a wonderful experience! Great way to ring in the New Year! read more

Very good food that is always consistently prepared. The food is always fresh, flavorful and nicely presented. The service is also very good. No one should hesitate to try Raimondo's, as I think it is one of the best restaurants on LBI. They also have an early bird special during the off season that is great value, which an interesting menu that changes weekly. read more

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed and to address the review on adding the gratuity, 20% is average, if you want outstanding service put your hand in your pocket and the manager is probably just protecting their staff from getting spanked, i always tip at least 25-30% if I get great service but the fact is most people don't and that is too bad . read more

We had an amazing meal at Raimando's. I had Chilean Sea Bass,my sister had Flounder Franchise . However my brother-in-law stopped the show he had a veal chop that was unbelievable. So delicious and everything was so fresh. We finished off the meal with cannolis and a crème brûlée which was topped with fresh whipped cream. OMG! read more

Just moved into the area (live around the block) and this is my 4th time trying to get a table here. & yes, I've called to try and make a reservation- no answer, ever. Stinks, & doubt I'll try eating here ever again. Looks really quaint with the outdoor fire, and I love a good BYOB :( read more

NOT WORTH IT ALL FOR THE PRICE. Took 1.5 hours just for our entree's, never got our appetizer, and waitress never checked to see if we got our appetizer. $76 just for two entrees means the food should be immaculate but it was mediocre at best. Save your money and go to Olive Garden. Never going back. Waste of my money and time. read more

We happened to find this restaurant by accident and we are so happy. It was excellent. Great spedini, farfalle with shrimp in pesto was so tasty and prepared to perfection. Great staff and lovely owners. Definitely will be back. Oh yes great sangria read more

Unfortunately this was our favorite place and no longer is . Ordered octopus app w fregola and the special shrimp "crostini's" w diced tomatoes and capers. The octopus was completely undercooked but the shrimp was worse. First off we're not crostini's they were two large pieces of soggy bread with 2 shrimp on top of one piece and one on the larger piece no tomatoes no capers . Way too soggy to be a Crostini and just not the least enjoyable to eat. Hopefully they work out the kinks and get back to what it was . read more

Wonderful selection on and off the menu, nicely, creatively prepared dishes, with fresh ingredients. The pork chop with sweet and hot peppers is juicy and full of delightful, very satisfying flavor. The osso bucco (that my husband had for dinner) was beautiful done and outstanding. Nice people, great service. And Raimondo's is BYO - we brought fine wines (yes plural) and had a fantastic time! We will be back. read more

Amazing food as always! Got delivery everything was perfect and delicious! Favorite restaurant on LBI!

Not great. Food was okay. Service was unbearably slow. Would not recommend. It's shit don't go here. Also their entree rule is absolutely ridiculous. The island has some good food, but this place isn't a gold mine. read more

We come here every year we are around for our annual vacation. It's the dinner we look forward to during the week. Today food was good but service did not live up to previous experiences. We waited a while for our server to great us and then another long period before getting glasses for our wine and ordering. Looked like most tables we're dealing with similar issue but when looking forward to an upscale experience it's hard not to notice the little things like empty water glasses when you're waiting a long time between courses. read more

Have frequented this restaurant over the past 10+years and generally have been satisfied. We went for New Years Eve and it's changed my view completely. First was when I made the reservation I was not told about the fixed menu or price of $80.00 per person for a 5:00 reservation. Shrimp Cocktail with two shrimp, scallop entry with three scallops and the size if the three were medium. Sampler dessert with four different samples all came out frozen even when they were not supposed to be. To top it off on an $80 prefix menu they wanted to up charge for cappuccino or espresso. I'm a professionally trained chef who understands the operation of a restaurant. Very bad taste in my mouth and will not return. read more

We went to Raimondos with Family and it was a pleasant time. The staff is very good friendly and helpful on menu selections. I had the sea bass it was very good. Also had brock rob appy. It was good but not the best I have had. One of us had the veal parm it was good but to much cheese and unremarkable flavor This place is pricy They are not here to save you $. All in all if you are ready for a good meal and not afraid to spend so coin go for it read more

I ordered the chicken saltimbocca which was delicious. My husband ordered the salmon which he have 4 1/2 stars to. Another member of our party ordered the pork chop which was the juiciest pork I ever tasted! All in all, every one in our party was very happy with their dinner! And Stephanie, our waitress, was very attentive and wonderful! read more

One of our favorite LBI restaurants for a special night. BYOB which is a major plus! A little pricey, but the food is so worth it! Anything we, or anyone we've taken here, has had, has not received any complaints. Definitely make a reservation and dress a bit nicer for this dinner. I've seen kids here, how're ever the menu is geared more towards adults read more
