Let's get right to it. The food here is good, as is the service. I say good, not great but a solid meal. We each had a different dish, ranging from pasta to fish. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, even if it was a bit pricy. The ambiance is *chef's kiss* if you'll excuse the pun. My family and I went for Christmas Eve dinner, so the increase in price is perfectly understandable. Here are the pain points: it was on record the coldest night of the year. While I understand it's winter, I cannot accept how incredibly cold it was. Their heating system needs to be either be fixed or replaced. It was like a refrigerator. We ate with our coats on and it tainted the entire experience. Second (and final pain point): the menu online differs from the one in reality. We were looking forward to trying the lobster ravioli but it wasn't being served as we were told it was discontinued as were a few other dishes. Please update! Took my wife, my cousin and her husband on a Saturday night in January. We had reservations for 5pm. From the outside this place doesn't look like much but don't judge a book by it's cover. The waitress was polite and knowledgeable, moreover she knew all the details of ingredients and how the dishes were prepared. That tells me, the costumer, that the owner educates their staff. In terms of flavor and portions Raimondos is on point. For appetizers we had the Burrata, and hot antipasto which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the veal porterhouse with fettuccini and asparagus, it was wonderful. My wife ordered the sea food carbonara she loved it. My cousin ordered the sea bass special which came with risotto, shrimp and carrots.....phenomenal! Her husband had the crab and scallop Fra Diablo which could have been spicier but still good. For dessert my cousin and I both had the Tiramisu which was very light and delicious and it was a nice size portion. The whip cream is home made. My wife had the crème brûlée which she says was delicious. My cousins husband had the berries bowl. As far as the ambiance is concerned, the ladies in our group suggest maybe adding a little more charm and character to the decor. Overall it was a great experience. Intimate and classy Italian. We love the seafood inspired dishes, but our favorite is the pork chop and homemade pistachio and cherry gelato. We love that it is BYOB, and considering the large portions and excellent service it is worth every penny! We always look forward to dining at Raimondo's. read more

No other restaurants on LBI do this and I called well in advance to let them know and the person answering could not have been ruder and could of cared less. Four of us went for the early seating dinner. Our service was impeccable from our waiter (Rich, who's been there ~20 years), and the food was excellent. The wait for the food wasn't too long. The food was very good. We really enjoyed the meatball appetizer, the salmon entree, and the filet. All very flavorful. Went for a family birthday dinner over the summer. We were a reservation for 7 and when we arrived, our table was set for 6. That wasn't a good first impression. Its not asking a lot to have the seating correct. They could use some side walls on the tent to prevent blindness from the sun if you're there around sunset. Either that or turn all the tables around so no one's directly facing west. Only Trump can stare at the sun! Had the special appetizer which was a combo platter for two. It certainly seemed over priced for the four shrimp, small pile of calamari and some other minimal item. $27! In retrospect,would've been better off ordering two regular appetizers. It was more like we got one and a quarter for the same price. Waited like an hour between apps and entrees. WAY too long! We were enjoying ourselves and all, but an hour? The two people who ordered the chicken saltimbocca were disappointed. There was a small lonely piece of prosciutto between the TWO plates. WTH? This dish should have a nice layer of prosciutto di Parma! And there was no sage, which is another key component to a good saltimbocca. I really hate how restaurants in LBI think that most customers are clueless and have low food standards. Some of us do know what good food is supposed to taste like so you'll never get a great review by trying to slack off. The waitress we had definitely wasn't doing great with the mask on because we could barely hear what she was saying most of the time. We've had two great meals so far at Raimondo's. On our first visit, we waited for a bit, on our 2nd visit we were seated right away. Service was good both times and the servers provided great recommendations. Don't forget that Raimondo's is BYOB so don't forget your wine. Had a super awkward dinner here for my brothers' bachelor party. Food was great though. Had the Chicken Marsala and was not disappointed. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it's not the kind of place I would go to often. Great for a date though. My wife has a mobility trained service dog. The hostess/manager attempted to tell us we couldn't bring him in. We politely told her it was law and that we were allowed to. She then asked for service paperwork. I offered to retrieve it from our car and asked why she was requesting it, as the animal had done nothing to warrant suspicion that he wasn't a true service animal. She said never mind and sat us. She then proceeded to apologize to all the other tables as they were sat that there was a service animal in the restaurant. Went here for dinner with a party of six. Absolutely no complaints from anyone. Not sure why all the mixed reviews. We did all order appetizers, salads and entrees so they did not implement any silly ordering rules. Everyone ordered something different - the Chilean sea bass and grouper special were both outstanding. Mine was fried until almost dark brown, was served with minimal sauce and cold cheese, total crap. Then the magic happened... out comes my daughters dinner in the form of a bowl of broth and clams...wtf? Waitress inform us the chief made a mistake and put broccoli Rob in that pasta and brought it on the Side. She then tells us they ran out of linguini.... How the hell can this happen!!??? The big negative was the attitude of the woman running the front. On leaving, I stopped to tell her that while all previous visits were great, tonight's service was not acceptable.
