I met Rafi on Saturday, 7.25.26. I describe him as super helpful, humble, kind, very transparent in showcasing his cake designs, and his prices are the Best! I absolutely appreciate his recommendations and I love that he values his clients! Rafi was a creative Chef in Bellagio and one other hotel resort in Las Vegas, and this same amazing talent of his, he uses to serve his own clientele. I highly and strongly recommend Rafi's Bakeshop. You'll receive his personal attention and great advise on party cakes and favors. Love this place! read more

Rafi's has an array of fairly affordable pastries, with a wide variation of flavors and textures. All the pastries in the case were seven dollars, on the more affordable side of patisseries. There is a small seating area with couches and a small parking lot. I tried the dark chocolate pastry, which was good, but the exterior coding was a little soft and sticky, which threw me off a little but overall it was delicious and not too sweet 5/5 The lemon pastry has this cold and refreshing center. That's almost like a lemon ice cream. It's absolutely delicious and this is my favorite of the two. 5/5 read more

I visited this bakery intending to place an order for a custom cake, but after my interaction with the front staff, I decided to walk out and take my business elsewhere. I had questions about a cake order, and instead of receiving helpful or courteous service, I was met with a VERY rude and dismissive attitude. The way I was spoken to was EXTREMELY unprofessional and made me feel like my wish to place an order was an inconvenience rather than appreciated. Customer service is a huge part of any business, especially when customers are trusting you with special occasions. I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary, just basic kindness and respect. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at all. Because of the way I was treated, I chose not to place my order. There are plenty of bakeries in Glendale/Burbank that make customers feel welcomed and valued. I hope management addresses how customers are to be spoken to. Plenty of free online courses out there you can utilize. read more

This stunning pâtisserie shop creates some of the most beautiful desserts in Los Angeles. While all the sweets are outstanding, including the carrot cake (which is seasonal, so if you come across GET IT! The best I've ever had) and hazelnut crunch , but make sure to try my absolute favorite, the pistachio "ashta" pastry/cake.( thank me later...) Rafi's Pastry is an ideal meld between the best of classic and modern European baking sensibilities. And if you meet Rafi, he's one amazing chef; down to earth and very talented. I can't thank Rafi's enough for my beautiful baby shower cake they created. I met Rafi a couple weeks before my event and showed him a couple of pictures and ideas. He totally understood what I wanted and tailored everything into a beautiful cake. I had my wedding cake made by him 3 years ago too and it was beautiful and delicious. The cake was delivered on time and it looked perfect next to all other setups for that night. And the taste was amazing and fresh like always. Thank you so much and can't wait to order more cakes for my future events. read more

All of the Pastry I've given as gifts are always enjoyed and appreciated. Everyone wants to know where I got them from.

Best in town. Love getting pastry's here for any occasion. They have done my son's wedding cake as well! For me is the quality over quantity and representation is everything. Love the shop and costumer service! The best hands down read more

Nothing fancy, just pastry. $50 for a box of mikado is a bit much, I guess your paying for the box and the pink bag. Also, it's silly to charge extra for using a card, your already charging $50 for a small box you can eat the cost of the CC fee read more

EXCELLENCE! The best pastries on earth! No other place measures up to Rafi's. The hazelnut cake is my absolute favorite!

Raffi was so easy to work with. He responded quickly to my texts. I sent him a picture of the cake I wanted and he was able to replicate it exactly. The cake also tasted delicious. I got so many compliments on the cake. The design, intricacy and eye of detail that Raffi has is very unique. He is very talented! Would absolutely come back. Try his pastries too. Pastries are expensive and not worth the price. Never had bad customer service. They are always kind but the quality of the pastry doesn't match what you pay. Recently I tried their beautiful looking desserts but flavors unfortunately not what I was expecting. I like their Micado which I think it's still very expensive. read more

your response to my first review was all lie. i placed my ordered over the phone with the owner. He was a very nice guy and told me to pick up my order at 11am at a certain day and i was very thankful. The day i was supposed to pick up my 3 paskas i called to let them know i will be 20 minute late. The lady answering the phone told me the paskas wont be ready till 4pm i told her i was on my way and i got upset ofcourse. I got to the store explaining that i dont live close and i wish i was told a day before that my paskas wont be ready. The rude and disrespectful lady at the counter said " you cant come back later then no paskas for you " now this is the true story. Ofcourse i got mad and complained and left. read more

The pastries from rafi are to die for. We've been customers for 2 years now and love their Christmas themed pastries and many of their cake especially the big triple chocolate cake which is pretty light and tasty! I know some people are complaining about customer service, we've never experienced it being bad so far, everyone's been good but tbh no business is perfect and for the taste of the pastries it's okay. But if your paying lots of money for a custom cake, I totally get it and at worse deserves minus 1 star. read more

One of the top-quality Dessert's I have tried. You can taste the elegance in the chocolate that it is definitely not your everyday or everyplace used chocolate. I come to find out it is not! They import their chocolate!!! You don't find a place like that every day! Also, the MIKADO is a must try. By far, my favorite item to pick up when I'm there picking up all my other items. Needless to say, his designs and quality are worth every penny!! read more

Rafi's Pastry is the best pastry. The design of the cake is art. I recommend it to everyone

I love their delicious and delicate pastries. I love the Mercado. The most customer service is great.

I am giving 2 stars for the pastry and cakes. Very unique and tasty. The girl in front long black hair Armenian OMG so dry and rude. She doesn't help with any question and doesn't not want to be asked anything. She lied to me one time I confronted her she does. Even apologize. Not helpful at all. I dont want to have to deal with her. When you ask her a question it feels like you hit a brick wall. It's going nowhere. I will not go to this shop again until she is replaced. Seriously you need a people's person who has social sckills knows how to smile and doesn't lie!!!! read more

Wish I could give them 0 stars...This place is a joke!!! I am more than disappointed today I called and placed a cake order on 9/19 for September 28th. The lady wrote down all the information she said they can make the cake for that day. We even decided on a time to pick up @ 11:00 am. She asked me to email everything picture and all of the information to them which I did... Mind you she never told me anything else. NO ONE EMAILS ME BACK WITH MORE INFORMATION OR INSTRUCTIONS!!! The day of his bday I call to pick up the cake @ 11am and this is what they told me... We do not have your cake because we never confirmed and deposit was never paid... First of all when I called the worker picked up the phone, he cant even speak normal english... second what do you mean my cake is not confirmed???? Why did I call and placed the order back on the 19th and you guys said you will be able to make it???? Third why didn't you email me the invoice so I could make the deposit???? So yeah DO NOT TRUST THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS FOR YOUR EVENTS!!! YOU WILL END UP WITH NO CAKE... THERES NO NORMAL SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR THIS "BUSINESS"... THEY ARE BUSY CARELESS AND HAVE NO NORMAL SYSTEM DOWN read more

Went here today and am pleased to say that it is nothing like the run of the mill Armenian pastry shops. Needless to say, that is long overdue. The pastries are beautiful and delicious; another rare combination. I was assisted by Rafi himself, who was so kind and knowledgeable. It is evident that his heart and soul are in this business. He went out of his way to deliver excellent service. I got the eclair and cream puff. He was also kind enough to give me some things on the house to taste, which was so unexpected and very much appreciated. I asked about the mikado, which I discovered was in a beautiful packaging and ready to gift a lucky recipient. I am mainly gluten free, but would definitely be willing to have a non gluten free dessert from here and that is obviously saying a lot. read more

Website doesn't work. Social media provides contact information. I called to inquire about a simple birthday cake. Before I can even ask about their choices, their days of operation, or location I receive a rude response that cake orders must be made 10 days in advance. They have 0 customer service skills. I called to inquire because my sister bought a cake from them and it was very delicious. Since there is no information available online I called to inquire and felt like I was disturbing someone rather than contacting a business. read more

This should give you a good idea of the kind of guy Rafi is - I was delivering an Amazon package to this place and on my way out Rafi says "here take this with you" and hands me a big intricately designed pastry for free. Rafis cakes are the best in town. Not only does he provide great service, but the cakes and pastry's are arguably one of the best I've had.

Skip this place and avoid disappointment. Our first and last purchase at Rafi's Pastry was a stale birthday cake. It was hard and dry as if it had been in a refrigerator for two weeks. We called the bakery the next day and they said it was baked fresh that day, no apologies. They did tell us to bring it back but for what purpose? The party was over and more than half of the small cake was already in the garbage. We did try to support a small, local business but Vons has fresher cakes for less. Lesson learned. read more

Rafi is by far the kindest human being ever. I went in about a month and a half before our event to do cake tasting and order my parents' 50th anniversary cake. He made little samples of everything for us. He recommended the most popular flavors and we went by what he recommended. I emailed him the picture and he created the exact same thing and he added the 50 on top per his recommendation. Let me tel you how amazing the cake turn out and it tasted wonderful. We are the left overs for the next 3-4 days and it still tasted so fresh. As a gift he also made us little pastries and other cute things so we could take home after our event. That was an added bonus at no extra charge. His price is very fair and I really loved and appreciated the extra thing that he made for us. He is my family's go to guy for our cakes, wish I had more pictures of our other events so I could post them all. He also did many other cakes for our events and they all tasted and looked great. I know his employees might be tough to deal with in some occasions but when you deal with him directly, it is so much easier and he's a super nice human being. Thank you Rafi :) read more
