Sadly, it's a common problem in my neighborhood, almost every car I have owned has been hit around here. I went to several shops for estimates after a quick resolution from Geico. It ranged from insane quotes ($7000?) to a couple of shops never delivering a quote at all. When I finally met Garren I had that feeling that he was someone who loved his craft and he gave me a very reasonable quote. My car is a 25 year old Mercedes and he, unlike other shops, agreed with me to use the same body panel and repair it rather than using a cheapo non OEM panel. I also had bad clear coat on my hood, so I asked him to paint it as well on my dime. The car looks incredible! He also did a little touch up on some chipped paint and polished my headlights. All for the same quote. His repairs were fast and great looking. I am beyond satisfied with his work and sending me regular updates and pictures of the repairs as they were completed. So since my car was still on the lift and it was hot out, I decided to find out how much it would be to make it so that I didn't wince every time I went out to my beautiful car - a reminder of how stupid I was. I cannot speak to insurance claims which the web site states are resolved "in a timely manner" but I was forced to wait 6 months before I got my parts back. Having inherited a 2005 Vespa scooter that needed two smallish dents addressed and a new coat of paint, I obtained a couple of quotes, and settled on Fernando after he personally inspected it at our home and proclaimed his finished product would be "better than new". We agreed on the price and I was assured it would take him "several weeks" to get it done. To make it even easier for the guy, I disassembled the body completely and on November 12, 2024 dropped the parts off. Little did I know, I would not see them back until April 25, 2025. The first red flag that I should have noted and run away fast was when Fernando requested a down payment in cash, as he explained he was trying to keep the gig hidden from his wife. I did get a receipt for it but what followed was 6 months of excuses, no shows at his shop and multiple promises of delivery dates that were not fulfilled and always pushed forward. When I could not reach him, he claimed he lost the phone or that it did not work and when I was able to leave a message, I would not hear from him. Text messages were answered days after being sent. To say this was frustrating would be an understatement. I was so irate I wrote the guy a letter indicating I was prepared to take the matter to a small claims court. He became more communicative but the job dragged on nevertheless. To my amazement, he managed to lose two handle bars covers which I had to buy replacement for. When I finally got the parts back, one needed clear reapplied and all were afflicted with a good amount of orange peel - worst being the front fender - which Fernando said he would polish away. He did a decent job with the main body but the front fender and side fairing were left with hazing and scratches that looked worse than the peel itself. See pic attached. I sent him a text with pictures of the fairings on 5/22 and was promised a fix when he'd "back in a few weeks". I sent anther text on 6/18 asking if he was available to meet but as of this writing, I'm still waiting to hear. Ferndnado's Auto Body is an extremely low quality and poorly run establishment and should be avoided at all costs.

One night recently, we were backing into a parking space at a local grocery store that had ornamental trees planted in divider strips lined all across the parking lot. We felt a small nudge, got out, and part of the rear liftgate panel got dinged down to the metal. We shopped around locally a bit, and it soon became apparent that Carroceria Collision was the best solution to fix this damage. (You know how careful you are when you first get a "new" vehicle, and how upset you are when it gets dinged, right?) They provided 2 estimates: one to remove and paint the said panel, the other to tape out and paint the said panel. We brought the car back, and they explained exactly how they'd do the second option (saving us $400), and boy, when we dropped off the RAV for the work and picked it up, it looked totally perfect again.
