I called Tilton figuring I'd just get another dead end support person telling me I would need to bring the set in for them to fix for some outrageous price. I'm just getting myself psyched up to buy another tv... Then I speak with Tilton and I'm now amazingly re-inspired with humanity. Not only does he know what I'm talking about, he goes on to explain what normally happens with these tv's and how to fix the problem. He saved me at least $90 by not having to try a new power supply which I was close to buying off ebay. With no expectation of getting my immediate business he calmly speaks to me as if I may know just enough to be able to fix this myself. Yay! Most companies keep "real" knowledge buried behind closed doors, tucked away in the dark so we're forced to either use their expensive services or throw away our things. It is so rare as a "retail consumer" to be able to figure out ever more complicated gadgets. Getting to speak with someone like Tilton is like finding a rare jewel for us tekkies. Please, please, please use this small business whenever you can. The world is in dire need of people like this. They deserve our support and recognition.

I finally got a message saying they cancelled the sale "due to a stock error". I suspect when it came time to ship, someone looked at the price it could have sold for and stopped the sale. When I pressed for more info they said there was damage when they took it off the shelf so they can't sell it. I was aware of some damage, I saw the pictures, so I asked them what the extent of the damage was? and said I might still be interested. They have not responded. You would think if they are being truthful they would want to get rid of the damaged item even more now.

Dropped the car off early since I knew it had to be there awhile. When I called later in the day to get an estimate for a pick-up time, it was about done. Someone walked me through the changes and new equipment. I was pretty comfortable without this but it was fine. I also had someone else in the parking lot with me. But the business should note that some individuals may not want to sit in their cars alone with a stranger. And, if you are picking up your car, bring a friend in this situation to sit with you for the tutorial!

Today is one of those days that I find myself at a laundromat. I am so grateful that MadeNew Laundry in Henrietta opened up. It's worth the little extra drive coming from Fairport to be in an environment that is truly kept immaculately clean and that I feel safe. On top of that, the machines are state of the art technology for washing without wear and tear on my clothes. They rinse and spin thoroughly and dry without cooking the fabric. I am very pleased by the outcome everything from my delicates to son's work pants. Upon walking in, I was given a friendly greeting by Jason who gave me a quick tour of how to get started with the payment system. You have a choice of purchasing a reloadable Laundry Card using either cash or credit card. Or you can download the Laundry Cat app and use a card or other electronic payment, like Apple Pay, and use the app as a virtual laundry card. I chose the Laundry Cat App. It's pretty nifty as it uses the WiFi to give you a status of the machines you have in use. It's easy to reload your account and it's easy to apply payment to a machine. Loading and starting up the machines was a cinch. Wash time is 30 mins or less. Dry time is 20 mins or less. The dryers are very efficient. All in all, it was an excellent experience for going to the laundromat.
