I am a lifelong crafter and I have been sleeping on Dan's! There is so much available at this…read morestore. My husband and I took our niece here, and I think she had more fun just looking around than actually picking out things to buy. There are huge sections of Legos, models, craft kits, games, toys, beads, painting supplies, and even stuff for babies. My niece got a coloring book, pastel colored pencils, a game with sparkly fish, and a little plastic helicopter. My husband even got some super glue that he needed for work. Nothing was terribly priced, and the staff was helpful and friendly. I have been trying to fit more crafts into my life as a relaxing hobby, and I think I'll have to visit Dan's again to pick up a craft kit. It's a fun place to just browse too.

After being directed to him as someone who might be open to the opportunity, Curtis took one look at the item, scowled, and said, "That's not anything I want to touch. You can fix it yourself." It was truly a memorable experience. Without Curtis, I may have gone on with my day feeling perfectly fine. Instead, I was given the opportunity to feel embarrassed for making an innocent request at a store that had once been a cherished part of my childhood memories. Thank you again, Curtis!

I've been back to Field's a few times since I wrote my original review so I thought it was time to…read morerevisit my thoughts. First, this is still a 5 star RC shop in my book. Probably a six star but Yelp ran out of stars or something so 5s all you get. If anything I've become more fond of field's with each visit. The staff is incredibly helpful. They're willing to answer any question, help you select the right parts and upgrades, and most importantly leave you to make the final decisions based on your budget and likes. Solid information, low pressure sales pitch. As it should be. I especially like the fact that as an out of town customer they don't treat me like one. Even having gone so far as to invite me to the local flying club as a guest for the day. You can find a great selection of RC products here from a variety of manufacturers and distributors. So whether you're into Cars, Trucks, boats, planes or Helis you can find what you're looking for here without the usual problem of being locked into a single distributor that many hobby shops are limited to. They're just up the road from Niagara Hobby and around the corner from the Galleria Mall. Drop in and say HI, you'll be welcome.

I'm new to the hobby and was genuinely excited to visit the store for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill the moment I walked in. One employee immediately gave me a harsh look and stared at me from across the room. I didn't even realize he worked there at first, so I tried to move out of his line of sight. Another employee eventually approached me, and I explained that it was my first visit and I wanted to look around before asking questions. He was friendly and helpful -- I honestly wish he had been the one assisting me the whole time. Instead, the first employee eventually came over and asked if I needed anything, but his tone and body language made me feel unwelcome, as if he wanted me to leave rather than browse. It took the excitement out of what should have been a fun first visit. Bottom line: the store itself was great, but the attitude from that particular employee made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing.
