I'm new to the hobby and was genuinely excited to visit the store for the first time. I needed a few parts for my brush‑to‑brushless conversion, and I was also open to purchasing an R/C model I knew they had in stock. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill the moment I walked in. One employee immediately gave me a harsh look and stared at me from across the room. I didn't even realize he worked there at first, so I tried to move out of his line of sight. Another employee eventually approached me, and I explained that it was my first visit and I wanted to look around before asking questions. He was friendly and helpful -- I honestly wish he had been the one assisting me the whole time. Instead, the first employee eventually came over and asked if I needed anything, but his tone and body language made me feel unwelcome, as if he wanted me to leave rather than browse. It took the excitement out of what should have been a fun first visit. Bottom line: the store itself was great, but the attitude from that particular employee made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. read more

He has solved many problems for me over the years and explains things in a manner that I can understand. They talk to me like fellow hobby enthusiasts and then let me make the choice that's right for me and my budget. Their prices are similar to what you would pay online so SHOP LOCAL and support these guys!! I've been back to Field's a few times since I wrote my original review so I thought it was time to revisit my thoughts. First, this is still a 5 star RC shop in my book. Probably a six star but Yelp ran out of stars or something so 5s all you get. If anything I've become more fond of field's with each visit. The staff is incredibly helpful. They're willing to answer any question, help you select the right parts and upgrades, and most importantly leave you to make the final decisions based on your budget and likes. Solid information, low pressure sales pitch. As it should be. I especially like the fact that as an out of town customer they don't treat me like one. Even having gone so far as to invite me to the local flying club as a guest for the day. You can find a great selection of RC products here from a variety of manufacturers and distributors. So whether you're into Cars, Trucks, boats, planes or Helis you can find what you're looking for here without the usual problem of being locked into a single distributor that many hobby shops are limited to. I needed help with batteries and a charger for a product I did not buy here. And, I know nothing about Lithium Ion batteries. The guy that helped me, Greg, was super good. He took his time, explained everything to me, and helped me work out a solution to the connector issues that ensued. I'm a beginner "Pilot" and the help I got from one of their staff members was so helpful. With all the questions I had as a beginner they never made me feel like I was annoying. They never rushed me or pressured me to buy. Just lots of information. And the most appealing asset I gathered from all this is ......
