Who doesn't love Hobby Lobby? The store already as their fall decorations out along with Christmas! Very large store full of exciting items from home decor based on colour, room & theme. Lots of children's room decorations available. There is a whole section for crafts and faux flowers. The fact that most items are 50% off. Make sure to visit their 90% sections.

If you have a dead leg when you come here, it's Hoppy Lobby. But I guess that's also if they brew beer here. I've been in here a few times now and on no occasion did I find what I really needed. Which was kind of annoying but then so is your mother when I'm staying over with her on Saturday nights. Service isn't great and the store is not the best which is why I'm lowering my rating a little bit.

    How cool is this?

First and foremost: I do not subscribe to HL religious nor political beliefs. The store is incredibly spacious and very well organized. Chill music plays overhead usually instrumental and often spiritually based, very zen and relaxing. It's a pleasure to shop here with more offerings than any other craft store. They're really as stated in the title a hobby store so things like model airplanes and cars might intrigue more people. The housewares seem endless with tastes from Pier One included. There are wall hangings, fabric, yarn, art supplies, storage, furniture and household furnishings like throw pillows and wall decor. I'd guess about half of the contents (or less) are religious in nature. You might find a decorative sign for a kids room that says "this girl runs on cupcakes and Jesus" next to a dinosaur illustration next to a close up of a cow's face. Lots of down home, farm stuff. And beach-themed stuff. Books. Bibles. Year round holiday decor. Fake flowers. Adobe pots and saucers. Scrapbooking tools, paper galore, stickers and rubber stamps. Just remember they accept but one coupon. The lines are usually long. And they're closed on Sunday.

Mm. What to say about this joint. Pros/Cons list. Pros: -They have SO MANY JARS. Best jar selection and pretty cheap! -TRUNKS. No junk in their trunks. But for real, lots of trunks and boxes and it is OCD heaven. -Home decorations. If you're not artsy, they are. And they have things to decorate your house with. -Good location. Cons: -Incompetent staff. -They are ancient. -Lots of Catholic & Christian phrases on their items...not obvious at all that it's run by religious people -They are not welcoming. Hardcore Catholic. Tips: -Come here with a friend of the same gender and hold hands. You'll make all the workers uncomfortable and it will be hysterical. It's amazing that there are still people like this -Wear your pentagram for them to see. Also is great to be in all black. (This is a personal one I do and they tend to stare, which I also find hysterical) Anyway, come here for necessities. Not pleasure. X's and O's! J

Love this store. I have to drive from Canada so I wish it was open on Sunday as well. Only reason for four stars.

The book was Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren. You register for the class and pay online. It is an easy process. You pick up the book before the class. You have a few weeks to read the book and then show up to the book club, where you discuss the book while making a craft. I love this concept. This was my dream night/class, getting to read a book and then craft while discussing it. There were about 8 people there and the instructor. Everyone was so kind and excited to be there and talk about the book. The craft was tote bags. We took acrylic paint and painted a bunch of books on there. There were so many creative designs.  The space at Musejar is wonderful. There is a separate entry for art classes and the store. The store has some super cool craft products, as well as a large selection of fiber items, and decor. It is inviting and warm and always decorated with the season or holiday. The art space is open, bright and has everything you need to make your project successful.

Yarn art, markers paradise, colored pencils, paper, you get the gist. Plus there is a pottery studio! I had the best class ever with Heidi. She's an amazing teacher and a great potter. The shop has areas designated as class spots with tables and chairs for group learning. There is a couch to hang out on and knit or just visit. It's warm and welcoming and many collaborative efforts happen via classes within the community. See their website for a calendar or listing of classes. Some classes are for just a session others for weeks. And there's pottery date nights that sell out nearly instantly. I'd recommend MuseJar.

I was given classes at ArtYard as a gift several times, and each time by the end of the session, I vowed not to return. Have you ever experienced waiting in line somewhere while the associate chit chats with others, like you're not even there? You might have a question, but you're stuck, waiting, until they're good and ready to address you? And your inquiry is even brief, but you must wait? This is what it feels like taking a "class" at ArtYard - it's really more like you're renting the studio space for six weeks, which if you had acquired the necessary skills would be fine. I expected an attentive teacher walking around offering encouragement, tips and advice to students, and rooting them on, like the substitute that was there once, he was amazing! However, you must simply wait for a break in the conversation, say please, and not chew gum in class if you'd like help. Or to keep from idling, ask another student for help. One can be talented at what they do, but not have the heart of a teacher. (And yes, I understand that there is a certain amount of trial and error to creating art such as pottery: figuring things out, making your own mistakes, trying, trying again. I get that. I am a designer for a living.) Contacting the instructor - via phone, email or text - was unpredictable, you may or may not get a response. Sadly, I got to the point where I could take "the attitude" no longer: frustrated, upset, and humiliated, I walked out of the second class, and didn't return. And no one with the heart of a teacher would allow that to go unnoticed. But they did.

Horrible customer service. Christmas just passed. My husband accidentally threw out his gift…read morereceipts from 2 separate gifts. We went in to ask if we could exchange them. We assumed they'd give us store credit without a receipt. Both items had their tags on. The store said they'd take the items back but take off 20% value for not having a receipt. They're getting their item back in perfect unused shape and want to take extra money from you for an accident? This winter break, I found a gorgeous sequined Bills jacket (blue base, red sleeves) priced at $217. They were offering 25% off Bills gear at the time, but I wanted to think it over before making the purchase. Laux had the same with colors reversed for $115 but I prefer the jacket to be more of the blue than red. *The one pictured is the Laux one. Unfortunately, due to a flight issue, I wasn't able to return to the store as planned before leaving town. On January 2nd, I emailed the store explaining the situation and inquiring about having the jacket shipped. I received no response. I sent a follow-up email and again got no reply. I finally called the store to explain what happened and asked if they would honor the sale price since I had tried contacting them earlier. The woman said that they don't ship if it's not listed in the website, which is fair.I even mentioned I have a relative who could pick it up for me. The response? They wouldn't honor the sale price as the sale is over. I understand policies, but the lack of response to my emails and unwillingness to assist a repeat customer felt like poor customer service as I attempted to get in contact with them during the sale. I've always enjoyed shopping here, but this experience has left questioning if I will be back or recommend it to others.
