I've been back to Field's a few times since I wrote my original review so I thought it was time to…read morerevisit my thoughts. First, this is still a 5 star RC shop in my book. Probably a six star but Yelp ran out of stars or something so 5s all you get. If anything I've become more fond of field's with each visit. The staff is incredibly helpful. They're willing to answer any question, help you select the right parts and upgrades, and most importantly leave you to make the final decisions based on your budget and likes. Solid information, low pressure sales pitch. As it should be. I especially like the fact that as an out of town customer they don't treat me like one. Even having gone so far as to invite me to the local flying club as a guest for the day. You can find a great selection of RC products here from a variety of manufacturers and distributors. So whether you're into Cars, Trucks, boats, planes or Helis you can find what you're looking for here without the usual problem of being locked into a single distributor that many hobby shops are limited to. They're just up the road from Niagara Hobby and around the corner from the Galleria Mall. Drop in and say HI, you'll be welcome.

I'm new to the hobby and was genuinely excited to visit the store for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill the moment I walked in. One employee immediately gave me a harsh look and stared at me from across the room. I didn't even realize he worked there at first, so I tried to move out of his line of sight. Another employee eventually approached me, and I explained that it was my first visit and I wanted to look around before asking questions. He was friendly and helpful -- I honestly wish he had been the one assisting me the whole time. Instead, the first employee eventually came over and asked if I needed anything, but his tone and body language made me feel unwelcome, as if he wanted me to leave rather than browse. It took the excitement out of what should have been a fun first visit. Bottom line: the store itself was great, but the attitude from that particular employee made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing.

Hobby Lobby: Come for one frame, leave with fall exploding in your trunk. THAT should be their…read moredadgum slogan! Let me be clear: I'm not what you'd call a crafter. In my head, sure--I'm out here crocheting whimsical potholders and making my own scented candles like some kind of Pinterest sorceress. In reality? I want to wake up with the skillset of a seasoned maker without ever enduring the YouTube tutorial struggle. I don't want to learn to crochet--I just want to already know, you feel me? But none of that stops me from wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby like I belong there. Because baby, I do. I may not be gluing rhinestones to wreaths, but when it comes to home decor? This is my Super Bowl. No matter the style, no matter the season--modern farmhouse, vintage cottagecore, "my house looks like an antique shop and I love it" chic--Hobby Lobby always delivers. Fall? They've got pumpkins in every size and personality. Christmas? Don't even get me started unless you want to hear me wax poetic about artificial garland and buffalo plaid. Need a random decorative sign that says "Gather" in cursive? Oh honey, they have seven. And I will consider them all. (Who am I kidding: I already own all seven!) Walking into Hobby Lobby is like entering a magical vortex where time doesn't exist and your cart fills itself. I always leave with twice as many items and zero regrets. And while I may not craft, I absolutely curate vibes--and Hobby Lobby is my go-to for all things "seasonal personality disorder but make it stylish." Five stars. Ten stars. A whole galaxy of stars. And a cart full of throw pillows.

My very first visit to a Hobby Lobby ever happened last month when my mom and I decided to drive…read moreout simply because I wanted to check it out. My mom seems to shop here somewhat often but now that I know, I'll be honest: I don't love the overt Christian branding and that alone will never make this store my first choice. That said, I can't deny the variety they offer. No matter what craft you're into whether it be sewing, quilting, painting, home decor, seasonal projects, etc. Hobby Lobby seems to have just about everything imaginable under one roof even if it may be extremely challenging to find/the layout of the store wasn't great... While I'd prefer to shop elsewhere when possible, I can see myself returning if I'm in a pinch or need something specific. I can admit it's a convenient option. Three stars for selection and convenience with some hesitation on the overall vibes and prices.
