5 stars for sure! My hubby is an 80's but, so this was the obvious choice for his birthday. We all loved it! Wall to wall murals of really cool and fun 80's stuff. They bar looks great, all lit up in neon. One area has pin ball machines and another has a cool collection of classic 80's games...Tron, Pacman, etc. We ate upstairs in a balcony decorated with a Star Wars theme. Our waitress was sweet and personable. The food was all presented in a really fun way. My son's chicken and waffles were chicken strips served in a waffle cone. My Ruben sandwich with sweet potatoes was delicious. My daughter's nachos were presented in a garbage pail kids pail...so cute. The milkshake my kids got was just decked out in candy! This review is for the food only. My wife and I went to the RAD Retrocade today for lunch. My wife had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and I had the Doc Brown (Reuben) with regular fries. Both sandwiches were very good. My wife was surprised to discover that the veggie burger was homemade (black beans and corn). Service was excellent. We will return to try their other burgers, etc. read more

In town for a work trip and we came here for a few hours. The atmosphere was fantastic. The staff was great. The games were fun with only a couple broken, but the bartender was on it and made sure we got out tokens back without question or hesitation. The food.... For now I'm giving this place a 3 stars. I have not tried their food. And I did attend their grand opening when they first opened. I am not sure if they just hired newly bartenders because my drinks tasted non-alcoholic. I ordered 2-3 Hennessy pineapples, and I've drank plenty of bottles of henn back in the days, and that cognac will hit you like no other. Dranks that we're made, hardly felt a buzz. But I'm not completely shutting down the place that I would never come back again, I think they deserve a second chance so that is why I am leaving it at a 3stars. Not a fan of this place, the service is terrible and the staff are unfriendly! I went a couple times while I was in college and literally had the worst experiences. The bartenders were very rude and didn't put any alcohol in the alcoholic drink I ordered because they said I had already had too much to drink when this was the first drink of the night I had ordered !!! RAD offers around 12 pinball machines, all the classic video games like: Centipede, Dig Dug, Galaga, Asteroid., Joust and more plus the quirky Tron! 2 basketball hoops, House of the Dead, driving games and even Hockey! Pac Man, the list goes on. Great service, amply staffed to handle the crowds. They have people walking around for safety which is reassuring. These people thought of everything. Decided to try this new arcade bar that opened up in the downtown area. It looks very nice on the outside with a brick layout and nice sign. The inside is really dark with a black light and bright colors on the walls as well as light from the games. There's some really cool and creative artwork from nostalgic games and movies. There's lots of different old school games along the walls of the restaurant with tables centered towards the middle, left side, and upstairs seating. You seat yourself and wait for a server to come to you. Our server was quick and took our drinks right away. One thing I'd like to point out is the lack of drink menus on each table. We didn't know what alcoholic drinks were offered and had to ask our server. We started off with the beer battered fries mushrooms. They looked fresh and hot. As crispy and juicy as they were, they seriously lacked flavor. The beer flavor did come through but it was the only flavor present. Maybe seasoning the batter or adding some salt would do the trick. For my main dish, I ordered the hill burger which consisted of sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and garnish. I don't know why but the cook was really under seasoning the food and the patty and mushrooms were super bland. The bun was cold and burger as a whole was subpar. The fries weren't even hot. I didn't even finish my food. My SO liked his hot Cheeto burger but it's honestly Cheetos and cheese on a patty so it has to be good. For dessert, I ordered the cotton candy shake. To my surprise, it's not even cotton candy flavored. Just basic vanilla with food coloring and a bunch of candy on top. What can I say, it's plain vanilla- of course it taste okay. Nothing special but very instagram worthy. I've yet to try an alcoholic drink since I'd probably have to order one from the bar or ask my server what they offer because like I mentioned in the beginning- they don't have a drink menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the games though. Lots to choose from and enjoy. I went during the start of the evening to avoid crowds. It's honestly not very big and could easily crowd with too many people (which I'd avoid). Overall, love the atmosphere and games, don't love the food. Skip the food, drink a beer, and enjoy the games! Giving a 4 star because of the bar as a whole. Hopefully they can improve their menu. So great!! Tons of quality video game and pin ball machines in a cool, retro atmosphere. There is a decent selection of beers (many local to NM) at the full bar in the center of the arcade. I didn't come for the food, but had a chance to try appetizers and enjoyed the fried Twinkies and cheese bites, sadly the churro bites were dry and ultimately forgettable. My focus was on the games, and they have a great selection!! Consoles of note include: Pac-Man, Galaga, Street Fighter II, Dig-Dug, Asteroids, Tron, and Missile Command (broken at the time of my visit). There must be at least a few dozen more machines, all of which, at the time of opening were in great shape. I visited during "all access time" (i.e. before 7:00), but will schedule my next visit after 7:00 to see if the vibe is noticeably different when only adults are allowed. read more

Now the games are fun and I go for that but would leave and not have a drink ,unless you go with friends. Went on Saturday and Halloween weekend. I'm not from here and it's our first Halloween since we moved and I was excited to get all dressed up and have a fun night out with some friends. This seemed to be one of the only things having an event in town so we went and it was disappointing. Tried this new place out about one week after they opened and it was horrible. We went in about 6:45 knowing it would be clearing out at 7:00 of the the under 21 crowd, well that didn't happen. We walked around and found a few empty tables that needed to be bussed but when they came over to bus them they were cleaning tables with napkins! I asked the wait staff don't you have sanitary towels? I was told no they were all dirty. So after several (8-10 aprox) we went outside to an empty table there waited another 10 minutes and tables didn't get bussed out there either. After walking around and watching everything going on around us we decided to leave. This place was total filth! Trash and food all over the floor, tables dirty not sanatized, and the list goes on. This place in BIG trouble if/when OSHA decides to go in. I know we will not be back. read more

This is the best thing to happen to downtown since I have lived here, which is going on 15 years. I was there last night and the place was packed. It is lively, energetic, and I saw the downtown through an entirely different lens than I ever have before. This place is the reason for that vibe. A really needed addition to the general living-death atmosphere of Las Cruces. Fun selection of classic arcade games, good drinks, cute wait-staff and decent if slightly pricey menu (I like the shrimp po' boy). They could use more games at some point - I'm pretty much rotating between X-Men and Tron, with a little pinball - but this is a great place to hang out, waiting for the hellish, empty summer sky of Cruces finally turn to night, and plan you're next move out of the festering hick anusville that is Las Cruces. I haven't had the chance to have the food so I can't speak on that but I have went for drinks/games and I do gotta start by saying that some of the women are seriously 9/10 so if you're interested in attractive woman then I recommend this place but downside would be that the dudes in the front are always really annoying as in they flirt and try to be the funny guy which isn't even cute and then aside from that the floor plan is ridiculous every time I go there's not enough room for the amount of people they let in and all the good games don't even work so they really gotta get some money together for upgrades. The vibe is super cool, but in the evening on Friday and Saturday nights, it can get a bit trashy, not going to lie. The drinks come quick when you order them. Service is a hit or miss depending on how busy it is. Sometimes I wait less than 5 minutes to get a drink, sometimes over 10. Really depends on the night I feel like.
