There was a display for led head lights but no led bulbs out. So I grabbed the best incandescent bulbs and walked back to the register. Out the door in about 5 minutes with the correct led bulbs that carry a lifetime warranty. Reasonable price quick and efficient service, helpful cashier/advisor. I'll definitely return.

I came to Pep Boys for a simple tire installation on my 2025 Honda Pilot Trailsport -- tires I had…read morepurchased through Tire Rack and shipped directly to this location. What followed was one of the worst consumer experiences of my life, involving an unnecessary $2,247 repair, discarded property, and damage to my vehicle that required a Honda dealership to diagnose and document. My vehicle drove flawlessly for hundreds of miles before Pep Boys ever touched it. During the tire installation, they informed me my wheel hub was damaged and needed replacement. I was under time pressure with a camping trip the following weekend, so I trusted them. They told me they would source OEM parts directly from Honda. The total? $2,247. What I got instead: 1. MY TIRES WERE DISCARDED WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I had planned to sell them -- they had significant tread life remaining. Pep Boys threw them away and told me it was too late to recover them. That is not their property to dispose of. 2. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME DAMAGED. When I picked up my car, the dash was lit up with multiple warning lights and error messages. I could not change drive modes, AWD was non-functional, and I could not even open the power tailgate. When I raised this with Pep Boys, their explanation was that the car was behaving as if it had been in a collision. That is not an explanation -- that is deflection. 3. HONDA CONFIRMED THE DAMAGE AND THE DECEPTION. I took the vehicle to the Honda dealership, where an inspection revealed the hub replacement had been performed with poor workmanship and -- critically -- non-OEM parts. Pep Boys explicitly told me they were sourcing parts from Honda. That was not true. I came in for a tire mount and balance. I left $2,247 poorer, without my tires, and with a damaged vehicle that required dealer intervention to assess. I have never been such a clear-cut victim of incompetence, dishonesty, and disregard for a customer's property and safety. I am formally requesting that Pep Boys corporate review this case in full. I have documentation from the Honda dealership confirming the findings above. This is not a complaint about a bad experience -- this is a complaint about conduct that caused real financial harm and left my family driving an unsafe vehicle.

I bought a battery from this store about a year ago. The other day, my vehicle wouldn't start--the…read morebattery was low. I put it on a charger, but it only reached 12.6 VDC and couldn't hold the charge. An hour later, it dropped to 12.2 VDC, and continued to drop. I swapped in a battery from another vehicle, and it held steady at 12.8 VDC. No issues. So, the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I brought the original battery in for warranty. What happened next was honestly baffling. The employee wouldn't even look me in the eye as I tried to explain the issue. He interrupted me and said, "I don't care about any of that. I just test it." I asked, "So you don't want to hear the issue?" He repeated, "No, I don't care about any of that." OK, He doesn't care . . . I guess I just stand here, say nothing . . . wait. Then he plugged in their test unit and said, "It needs a charge." I told him it had already been charged. He replied, "You didn't wait long enough--it takes an hour and a half." I explained it had been on the charger all night. His response? "It's your alternator." Oh my God! I told him I know cars and electronics, and I had data from both the working battery and the one in question. He shrugged and said, "It's policy," with a tone that made it clear he had zero interest in helping. Not once did he make eye contact. This wasn't just poor service--it was astonishingly dismissive. Do they train their staff in customer service? Do they understand how charging systems work? Do they know the difference between a battery that's low and one that can't hold a charge? Apparently not. In the end, I was out of luck. And honestly, I could've accepted that, doubted the warrantees on these things are real at O'Reilly's anyway, if I hadn't been treated with such disrespect. When did "I don't care" become something you say to a customer? The night before I had already priced batteries around town because of my doubts. So it was easy for me to just go down the road. I bought a new battery (for far less than the same one at O'Reilly's) from someone who was actually pleasant to deal with, dropped it in, and everything worked perfectly, tested the voltages, good, load good, started right up, charges good. Problem solved. Long-term solution? Avoid O'Reilly Auto Parts, especially this location. I've had issues here before, but never anything like this. There is one person there who's decent, but unfortunately, I wasn't dealing with her. O'Reilly Auto Parts: those warranties they advertise may not mean much if "policy" overrides common sense. O'Reilly Auto Parts Placentia: the "I don't care" customer service model is a bold new strategy... one that customers should absolutely avoid.

Advance Auto Parts looked up the part numbers for my vehicle which I purchased. It didn't occur to me that I should have looked up my own part numbers to verify because I thought their system should be accurate. Buyer beware, they were completely wrong. not just once, but multiple times! My truck uses a M1-212A filter and 15W40 oil. The first time I purchased oil/ filter from them, they pulled 0W20 oil and M1-102A Filter. The second time, they pulled the same oil and a M1-110A filter. Sad part is that PepBoys didn't think to verify the parts either and installed them anyways. What is wrong with these companies? No telling the damage that was done to my 2024 Duramax. 2 lessons learned here: #1 Do your homework yourself when buying parts and do not rely on the store computers or employees to pull the right parts. #2 Don't buy from Advanced Auto Parts online or in-store!!!!
