I usually stop here to run to the bathroom while Ernie gases up the car. It's usually very clean here, inside and out. So much better than those little hole in the wall Stations that I would never fathom using their restrooms due to them being "not so clean". I like the spaciousness between the multiple pumps they have. Easy to pull in and easy to pull out to get back out on the road. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would, the store has extremely inconsistent hours, employees are rude and will literally hold the door shut. It's 645 on a Friday evening and they are claiming to be closed as there's customers in the store and an employee is holding the doors shut..they claim 24/7 but can't be trusted to be open during the day either. read more

Extremely rude Night Shift Manager on 8/18/2021... Just because a store is in the "hood," doesn't mean "hood" have to be in the store. Every single customer should be treated with the same dignity and respect as they would be in any other neighborhood store.... And this is not the hood - usually a nice clean store, but we all have options and tolerating rude obnoxious behavior from our own folks is not an option, for me! This is my favorite gas station in Jacksonville (who has favorites?) The line is long sometimes depending on the time of day but the customer service is consistently good. They remember either my name, or the regular items I get and the conversation is always genuine even if a lot of people are in line. I don't get hassled by panhandlers here and it's open around the clock! A major plus is that they're right here next to my house. read more

Danielle the assistant manager is rude and unprofessional. She has consistently treated me and my fiancé like we are bothering her and she has an attitude. If you do not like your job Danielle- then find a new one. Quit with the attitude- seriously. I do not think in any way that she should be in any management role. This RaceTrac is located right off of the Merrill Rd exit on 295. They provide snacks, hot roller foods, and a large selection of sodas, beers, and juices. The cashier's are usually very polite and greet you from the register. This location is large and spacious and clean. The restrooms are taken care of and there isn't usually a problem with them on days I've visited. Gas is about the same price (maybe 1 or 2 cents cheaper sometimes) so you're nit saving much. But it is a great location to hit because being that is is right off the highway, you're able to fill up right before long trips without struggling to find a place to gas up. Also, this location has about 20 pumps... so it's not hard to find an available pump during busy times. read more

I was concerned about having a RaceTrac across from Merrill Road Elementary. The spot is already a high traffic area and this place seems to make it worse. It's easier getting into then leaving but if you want a good price for gas, this is your best option. The staff always greet everyone that walks through the door and remain polite. I even had an employee offer to help me carry bags of ice to my cooler in my car. That's service. read more

I came here planning on only putting $15 of gas in my car. When the total got to $14.50, I tried to stop the pump so I could make it to $15 slowly but the pump latched and it would not let me stop it. By the time I got it to unlatch, it was at $17 something so I said 'might as well go to $20'. To give myself enough time, I tried to stop the pump around $18.50 but, yet again.... the pump latched and would not stop. I ended up putting $21.06 into my tank. I don't really care about the price, but the latching of the pumps need to be addressed. I was holding the pump and it latched on its own. Just be aware that this happens and be prepared to possibly spend more than you wish read more

The Racetrac on Merrill Rd. used to be a great place to get snacks and sodas late at night but lately over the passed 2 months It has gone down hill. It is advertised as open 24 hours but a few times aver the passed it has been closed. Closed at 10pm on a Friday night!! Went to fill up yesterday. Stopped at this substandard stop and rob gas i started looking for my receipt. That was a waste of time. Some of the pumps appear to be in less than serviceable condition. Then I asked for a receipt. Didn't get one. Won't by my gas there anymore. read more

After the band competition, I was desperate to fill up my tank (my car is 42 years-old and I just didn't want to risk running out of gas along the way home.) So, we made a beeline to RaceTrac, which was a few miles from Jax U. It is brightly lit, modern and access in and out is terrific. The store is clean, the associates are friendly and welcoming. The snacks were well-stocked, as were the soft drinks. Moreover, I've never met such friendly people at a gas station. I cannot tell you how many folks came by to compliment me on my old beater. Everyone gave me a thumbs up and a "nice car" compliment! I felt like the king of the world after filling up; and, checking my tires. read more

Have you ever been greeted by a clerk as you walk into a gas station? Because until today I hadn't! Dynasty went out of her way to welcome me in as soon as I walked in the door. Very friendly workers, great customer service and very clean inside and out. There was an employee on a ladder washing the outside Windows when I arrived, he climbed down to open the door for me. Upon exiting he did the same thing. I feel the employees always seem to go above and beyond the call of duty to provide great customer service, wether it's going out of the way to open a door or even give directions. I have never had a bad experience here and it keeps me going back. read more
