It really checks all the boxes I look for when placing one in the stellar category. Things like being well decorated (the walls have a good amount of art and pictures spread throughout and it's not overwhelming), adequate seating, along with a variety of it is as well (there is regular table seating, some soft chairs, and bar style seating near the entrance), the right kind of baristas (courtesy and happy to talk with customers - along with being able to make a solid white mocha latte for me!), and personally, I just enjoy being there. Vantage Point Coffee got off to an outstanding start on all things I look for in a coffee shop, so I stuck around! Well, part of the reason was that a friend of mine who was supposed to meet me here had to canceled, so I took advantage of the time to get pics and talk to two excellent baristas, Presliegh and Zach. Presleigh gave me the low down on what Vantage Point was all about, while Zach and I chatted about sports a bit as we men like to do! Well, here's what I really loved! First, I will say that I'm not crazy about Monin syrup and I usually avoid shops that use it. It's just because of my taste buds, not so much any coffee shop's fault. HOWEVER, when I saw the Ghirardelli dark chocolate syrup on the back counter, it was all over! They let me know that they make their lattes with the dark and white chocolate Ghirardelli syrups! I was all in! I picked the Holiday peppermint mocha frap dark chocolate version. Why am I crazy about Ghirardelli syrups? I first had my lattes with it in San Diego and it's stuck with me since -with no regrets! Presleigh made an outstanding Holiday frap for me. I didn't catch her before the drizzle and the sprinkles were added, but it was ok. I drank every bit of it and WILL return on Christmas week to get that Holiday white chocolate either latte or frap depending on the weather. Of note, The shop was clean and well kept on the counters and seating areas. I really liked that people are informed on how to get on the free WiFi right at the register. At least it makes answering the 50 Yelp questions easier to answer when you try to check in on the app! It is a nice convenience. I would say they might consider lowering the music a little. It was on the border of being loud - just for awareness. Other than that, I was a sugared up very happy hombre on this day! Stop by here and visit! I had no idea what I wanted but definitely wanted to try their drinks and a biscuit. I ended up having them customize an iced caramel latte and ordering a cheddar and cheese biscuit. Everything tasted amazingggg. The biscuit was fresh and I didn't feel heavy after eating it. The latte had the perfect amount of sweetness. Both items complemented each other well and the pricing was very fair. They do sell their own coffee and it seemed like everyone had a cup. I think one of the better things about it is the drive-thru for people who don't want to get out the car. I am confident enough to use the drive-thru now that I have a go-to order. I rate this place a 10/10 and I will definitely be back to try some of the pastries and different coffee flavors.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and informative and my coffee was really solid. If you like strong coffee, get an espresso shot. If you're into bold but smooth, leave it alone. It was really a nice blend. Lucky Goat is a good choice if you're looking for a great coffee shop and bakery near the Town Center.

This is my first hopefully only negative review…read more I love independent coffee, shops and this one would be no exception. Incredibly friendly crew and a pretty decent product. We both ordered the house specialty drinks. A 16 oz Matcha and a 12 oz latte, which with tip it came to $25. Before the drinks were made, I gently ask would it be OK for us to consume some chicken salad that I had made at home. I got reassurance from all three staff members that it was fine. I don't usually take food into a restaurant, but we were riding our bikes, I packed a little food and the decision to stop at 1985. Coffee was spur of the moment. Our drinks were delivered, my wife loved her Matcha. I had only gotten a sip out of my coffee when we were approached by a manager told we could not consume outside food. I calmly appealed to the manager, explain the situation and was told that there was no wavering on the rule. I don't drink coffee on an empty stomach so I threw away my $9 cup of coffee and we left the café. I would never carry another restaurant food into a restaurant nor would I openly consume food that didn't buy there unless there was some extenuating circumstances. I leave this review in hopes that the manager may consider in the future, be a little more flexible when the situation calls for it. We were one of three people seated in the café at the time.
