The food is always delicious and I feel great feeding my family these easy to prepare meals! They have fewer prep steps and way less waste than other meal delivery companies we had tried in the past. I love that the drivers pick up the delivery bags to reuse. They will adapt most meals to your food preferences and make it clear if one has an ingredient that cant be removed (I hate mushrooms and its always quick and easy to see if they can send an option without them- never once has a meal come with them included!) Ordering online is super easy too.

I've ordered from Meal Village a couple times and had great experiences including ordering online…read morewhich was very easy. Both times the food arrived EXACTLY at 4pm and was top quality with good portions for most. My dad recently needs to be on a lower sodium diet so it's nice to provide 1-2 meals per week for him with no commitment- he usually eats only half of the portion per meal and can easily know the sodium content. My wife and I have tried a few of the meals and been happy with everything - sometimes calories and fat/sodium can be a bit higher than my wife prefers for a single meal but you have all the info before ordering. There's always a salmon option, and a recent "Retro Fried Chicken Bowl" was great if slightly unhealthier than ideal but had a nice portion of well cooked chicken and included a fantastic smothered sauce plus the side of applesauce was chunky, flavorful, and just as good as we would make at home. If you don't make your own applesauce this will show you why you should do it. Nothing but positive so far, and prices generally seem consistent with the "ready to cook" options in the market but you have much less packaging waste and don't need to spend a bunch of time cooking and cleaning up which can be nice during the week. Most dishes are 2-3 minutes heating up in the microwave and end up great. Don't get me wrong, we love to cook but I prefer to use my own recipes and for my dad with limited mobility a quick, healthier microwave meal or a "soft food" option is important. And for my wife and me, this is a nice supplement to our weeknight meals. Bravo to a great local business worth supporting!

About a year ago I made it a priority to focus on my health, and The Fresh Plan has been a huge part of changing my lifestyle for the better. I've lost 95 lbs over the last year and, at fifty, feel stronger, healthier and better than I ever have. Having healthy, satisfying meals ready to go gives me a good and "built-in" answer to the always hard question "what is there to eat?"--and always having that answer creates the consistency it was so hard to maintain before. The Fresh Plan meals are delicious, and having four weeks' worth of menus is a great balance between variety and familiarity. Bonus points if my husband would eat it (never thought that would happen). I found eat clean chIcago on yelp and the reviews looked good and the options online looked delicious. I had some questions getting started and the owner Juan was very accommodating. But the real kicker was when my husband and I ate our first meals. The Mongolian beef and spaghetti with meatballs. For dinner we ate the steak tacos - again absolutely delicious. I have had so many meal delivery services in Chicago and this was absolutely the best we have had. I did submit feedback, a while back, about their fry seasoning being flavorless, but on our recent order they seem to have fixed this. Much better. The BIG issue we have had is with the delivery via Door Dash. We have had significant issues with Door Dash at MBB and at other restaurants. I refuse to order when Door Dash is involved. We have had our food picked up and then eaten by the driver (confirmed by restaurant), food never picked up, drivers commit then cancel leading to long delays, drivers picking up the wrong order, etc. Each time the restaurant calls DD customer support, DD does nothing. There is no recourse to DD's incompetence. DD customer support has simply said they cannot be of assistance. Their own customer support has no concern for their customers (after repeated issues and attempts to fix). Mr. Beast Burger, please drop Door Dash! They are the weakness to your otherwise great (but expensive) product. It's sad that your business model is reliant upon a very poor delivery partner. My suggestion would be to allow customers to choose who they get the delivery from. It would be amazing for us to award good service by choosing your other delivery options and not have us forced to use Door Dash.
