Unfortunately my massage was an expensive oil applying session, rather than a deep tissue experience. The place is nice, massage tables warm and soft. Sadly it's really overpriced for a bad "massage". My neck is actually in a bit of pain from the awkward pressure applied in odd positions. I get deep tissue and sports massage monthly to keep my body feeling alright so I have some experience with deep tissue. Also didn't appreciate being asked at the front desk if I tipped after leaving money in the massage room. Felt awkward. I get some people might not tip but, blatantly asking also felt off? Enjoyed a fabulous facial with Anet at RA Organic Spa. She's an interesting and kind person and an excellent esthetician. I had a lot of extractions and her technique was painless and effective. My skin looks so much better. Anet also did a facial massage which included head, neck etc. that felt so good. I like getting my facials at RA Organic Spa because it uses Eminence products and Anet also gave me some tips on low cost items to use at home that will help maintain my skin. Ra has all the amenities one needs, sauna, salt room, and plenty of meditation areas. I recommend Jessica for facials and Oni for massage. The body scrubs leave you feeling born again, and the masseuses here know what they are doing. After going to other Thai spas in the area, this one is by far the best. It can be pricey, but the membership prices are a great deal. Their 90 minute offers are worth it, and they always have great sales around Mother's Day and holidays. I would say this place is average. Based off the reviews, I kinda expected a bit more. Hate it when that happens. Took my mom here as a treat for her bday. Came in & a lady gave us a brief tour of the place. I would say overall: the place seems clean, a little run down/nothing of a premium decor, awkwardly small resting rooms with not much to do in terms of spa amenities. I got a 90 min facial + LED. I thought it was just OK. Again, nothing special, but perhaps I can only compare to premium places (hotels, chain brands, Etc). The room I had was a little too bright for my preference, as I noticed lights shining through my lids the whole time. So that was pretty annoying. Don't know if all the rooms are like that. Overall, the products used are nothing special. I have eczema so I experience pretty dry skin feeling, but skin still felt a little dry after and didn't notice much of a difference immediately or next day. LED was useless IMO & would not recommend at all. Also, would have appreciated it if the lady would let me know what she's putting/doing to me next. She did maybe 1-2 times at the start and then stopped. So no clue what kind of masks and products she put on. Mom said she enjoyed her massage + facial. I think the massage little more than the facial. Overall she seemed content with it. TL;DR: move along, nothing special. And no, I would not go back nor recommend. read more

It was was not for the weak, but I knew how knotted my back area was. She did an amazing job! She also incorporated some stretching movements that were wonderful and felt great! I am pretty shocked to see any negative reviews for this place; I have been to this spa multiple times over the course of the past few years and have never received anything other than exemplary service and a been pleased to the max with the amenities and offerings. I've gotten facials, had a spa bath drawn before (heaven), and have had a few massages but this particular review is for the couples massage my boyfriend and I received this past Saturday. My boyfriend has had a tremendously stressful year and as a Christmas present for him, I decided to book us a couples massage. In my mind, the gift wasn't solely the massage itself; it was the stress relief of the overall experience that I was sure would be of benefit. We were not disappointed. We arrived a bit before our appointment, changed into robes and sandals, and spent maybe 30 minutes lounging in their serene tea and salt rooms - big rooms strewn with oriental cushions with calming music playing, and the salt room had a wall made of himalayan salt panels that were faintly illuminated from behind. There are big bowls of fresh fruit at every turn and crisp iced water or mint tea. As always their facilities were sparkling clean and very pleasant, and the girl at the service desk was sweet. The massage itself was fantastic, and the first my boyfriend had had in maybe 10 years. We had hour long Swedish massages with hot stone incorporated. It was super calming and romantic and the girls were great - Stella was my masseuse, thank you Stella! I am sorry that I do not recall the other woman's name. I felt like a total noodle, relaxed in the best of possible ways afterward. After our massages, we dipped into their on-site sauna for a brief bit, then took cool showers to rinse off the oils and heat of the sauna. I really can't complain about a single thing, I love this spa and would definitely go more often if I had the finances. First time here and it did not disappoint, upon walking in you are greeted at the counter, after checking in you are guided into a waiting room/foyer area where you'll be offered water or tea, since I did show up with running shoes, I was offered a pair of croc sandals to roam around the facility since I'm assuming they are quit and don't squeak like my sneakers do. Throughout the halls, there are baskets of complimentary fruits such as green apples, bananas, watermelon, and pineapple, I thought that was a nice added touch. So once you pass the foyer, you are given a quick tour of the facility. I took in the Swedish massage done by Natalie and it was great, after my 60 minute massage I went back to a small dimly lite room to snack on some pineapple slices after which I then took a peak at the sauna room, there are two sauna rooms, one for men and the other for women, although it is suggested if attending the sauna rooms as a couple, they suggest the women go to the men's sauna with their partner. The sauna was kept pretty hot which was exactly to my liking, there are a stack of towels which you can use to upon entering the sauna, just a heads up prepare for your eye balls to melt. To the immediate left of the sauna there is a shower which you can use after exiting the sauna. All in all this place was great. Soft music playing throughout the facility, very quiet, fruit, water and tea for you to enjoy, I definitely will return here. read more

I initially visited this spa for a job interview. I will have to say this spa is hands down one of the most stunning spas I've seen. The ambiance is absolutely amazing. You can feel the positive qi (pronounced chi) in the building. The entire facility is stunning. Sanitation is above standards, which is rare in a lot of spa settings. I love Megan!! She did my eyebrow wax and omg it's the best I've ever had. It's been a while since I've gotten it done so I had some itchy bumps on my forehead (completely normal for me) and she put some tea tree oil magic on me and the next day, i had no breakouts, which i normally always get after a wax. She even gave me a small sample pack to take home just in case it started to irritate me more, but I didnt even need to use it! She's friendly, professional, and detailed. The facility was also the well maintaince, clean, and soothing place to walk through. The front staff was friendly and very accommodating when I asked for a last minute booking appointment since I was just in the area for a few hours. In my lifetime I have had many estheticians but none like her. She takes her time, never tries to do the selling pitch of products, and listens tentatively to any concerns you have. Her facials are amazing and relaxing. My face always comes out glowing. I have sensitive and acne prone skin so that can be challenging. But she knows exactly what to do. I had waited so long to book a massage here and was pretty underwhelmed by my experience. While they certainly tried their best to make the spa comparable to "Schmurke Schmilliams", their attempt fell short. The spa is pretty inside with dark woods and key accents but it's very small and several of the "rooms" are nothing more than quiet, dimly-lit rooms with comfortable seating and a candle. My massage was nothing special. I asked for special focus on my neck and shoulders but instead I was given more focus on my legs. Took my husband here for his birthday for a couples massage (haha I benefit!). Filled out the form online for an appointment and received an email confirmation pretty quickly. Shiatsu Therapy - 60 Minutes - $115/person Street parking is 90 minutes free or there's a parking structure not too far away (just follow the signs for parking). The facility is actually a lot larger than I expected. When you check in at the front, it doesn't look very big, but when you walk through the doors, you realize it's a very LONG hallway (dark, quiet, calm....). For the Shiatsu massage, they provide some over-sized tshirts and pants for you to wear. They have a changing area and some lockers for you to put your belongings. You get a key to your locker you can put on your wrist. In the waiting room, they had fruit and beverages for us. When they were ready for us, they took us to the room where they put had mattresses on the floor (this is the same room they do the Thai massages in). I've been to 3 Spas recently, and this is the first one that really impressed me! Although their prices are a bit higher, I would definitely come back here again for another treatment. This was my husband's first professional massage and I think he was hurting after HAHAHA! "I didn't know little fingers could hurt me so much". As for me, I felt so much good after wards... ahh... I know it's a beauty faux pas to touch your face with bare fingers, but I COULDN'T HELP but run my fingers over my smooth skin after my facial at rA Organic Spa! It was so soft, supple and GLOWING!!! Thank goodness for the incredible Groupon deal for a 60-minute Pure-fection Facial $47 (regularly $95). The girls at the front desk are always so warm and welcoming. It's a lovely treat to snack on fresh fruit and tea in the waiting room. My facialist was wonderful. While she prepped my face with warm steam to open my pores, she asked me basic questions about my skin and skincare regimen. During the session, she worked on detoxifying my skin, alleviating pore congestion and did some extractions (ouch! but not too bad). I enjoyed the fruity scrubs, AHA fruit pulp and paprika herbal treatment and masks. She even did some light massage of my arms. Knowing that I didn't bring my spf moisturizer, she gave me a sample SPF face lotion to use after the session. This place can get busy on the weekends so I'd advise to book an early apointment. Make sure you arrive at least an hour prior to appointment to take advantage of all the facilities--shower, sauna, quiet+relaxing room. DON'T use the facilities after the treatment (sorta counteracts the $$ you paid for your facial/massage bc you'll wash off all the nice creams off your body/face). My facial with Megan definitely made my experience at rA worth it and she deserves 5 stars alone. She did a great job at detoxing my skin while not irritating it, was super informative, did not ask me if I wanted to purchase a single product (rare), and was sweet and pleasant as can be. The facial was the most relaxing I've ever had and my skin looked and felt noticeably better after. I definitely would come back for a facial with her again. The massage I received was pretty good too, but I felt as if my massage therapist was not taking enough time and working out knots slowly enough. The massage didn't feel as intuitive as ones I have received in the past, but more like the therapist were going through the standard motions. It still felt very good, just not the best. I did appreciate how attentive they were however, and how they checked in with me several times during the massage to make sure the pressure was to my liking and to see how I was feeling. During my visit, I also enjoyed the fruit and milk bath. This was a fun and enjoyable experience but I probably wouldn't do it again. It was mostly enjoyable for the novelty of it, although I was admit my skin did feel super soft after. There are a few things rA is missing amenity wise that would make me want to come back, and while it isn't the best day spa I've been to, I still had a pretty solid experience and would recommend it to others. read more

Love the ambience and services here. The receptionist who helped me, Natalie, is absolutely fantastic! Super helpful and friendly. She helped me over the phone the day before and remembered me when I showed up the next day. I booked the Detox Spa Package (3.5 hrs for $275), which comes with a body scrub, 60-minute custom facial, and a 60-min Herbal Foot Care. My body scrub was with Omi and facial was with Maria. Both are absolutely fantastic! I felt super pampered and rejuvenated after being serviced by them! I selected the blueberry soy sugar scrub and it smelled fabulous and made my skin feel silky smooth! Prior to my facial, Maria closely examined my skin and targeted areas I needed help with during the facial. Maria and Omi are both experts at what they do and I highly recommend them! So why the four star? A star is taken off for my herbal foot care & reflexology, which was very underwhelming. The masseuse who worked on me never asked if the strength was right and it just wasn't hitting the right spot. She also never offered for me to use the bathroom prior to the session as Maria and Omi did. The back massage part was nice, but when she was working on my limbs (which took up majority of the time), it felt as if she was just rubbing me with lotion. My legs did not feel rejuvenated or relaxed at the end of the session, which defeats the purpose as to why I got the herbal foot care to begin with. Also, my session was cut short by 5 minutes. I was taken to the room at 5:35, but we finished at 6:30. For the service price I get charged, I really would like to receive my full session. All in all, the facility is great and people are nice. I may come back, but most definitely not for the massages, which is quite a shame as I love massages. read more

I'm pretty tough when it comes to massages, which I get every couple weeks, and my shoulders need pressure that would make most grown men cry. I don't get massages to relax, I go to get that crap worked out. If I'm not a little sore the next day, I'm disappointed. But Shannon was up to the challenge. She was very knowledgeable and very strong. The spa is clean and the fruit in all the common areas is a nice touch, as I hadn't eaten all day. The sauna was relaxing and well maintained, albeit a little small. I also had my eyebrows waxed which look great. But that massage with Shannon is what I would come back for.
