Got a wonderful facial from Katie. She's super knowledgeable and explained everything she was doing. My skin looked so much better afterwards. The space is peaceful and restful. I'll definitely be back! read more

Mayday Skincare - Magic! - Skin Care Near Me - Burbank, California

Katie knows her stuff and keeps up with all current treatments out there. Great clean zen vibes!

Katie is the best! I have been seeing her for a couple of years now and my skin has come a longg way. Im so thankful for her! I love getting the Expert Facial because she can tailor it to your specific needs (mine has been acne). It's an awesome feeling to actually see results! I've wasted money on various products before that have done absolute crap for my skin so seeing a return on investment is immeasurable. Her studio is so cute, comfortable and inviting. She is a genuine, knowledgeable person that really just wants the best for you and your skin! I always look forward to my appointments. read more

This review is long overdue but my appreciation must be shared. I've been a client for 2-3 years now, and will forever remain one. Katie (who owns and runs her own business - admin, marketing, sales, etc...) is remarkably skilled and extremely knowledgeable about the products she is using and why she is using them on your specific skin type. She is also a wonderful human who genuinely cares about you. Her pricing has always been transparent and fair IMO. You can add on small services as needed but she'll never try to upsell just for the sake of it. The space is welcoming and relaxing, she's thoughtfully placed lights and hung uplifting quotes around the room. I always leave feeling relaxed, taken care of, and have glowing and healthy skin to show for it. She books up fast for a reason but it's worth the wait. read more

BEES KNEES. Best facials I have ever had, love the atmosphere and vibe. Katie is the sweetest, and coolest person, which makes the services even better. Should I also mention she has a bowl of only pink starbursts in her space. read more

Going to Katie before COVID was great, and going to Katie during COVID is great too! Booking online is a breeze, but I recommend you do it quickly because Katie books up a few weeks out! The system shows you all the pricing options and sends you additional information about the location, protocols, etc. Her pricing is so reasonable, with lots of add-ons available too. Mayday's current location is in Burbank near Porto's, with plenty of parking available all over. The space is clearly very clean and spacious! Katie is both fully vaccinated and following protocols thoughtfully and finding creative solutions (i.e., no steam but using hot towels instead). That said, she was always so thoughtful about sanitation and hygiene even before the pandemic, so I'm not surprised! The services themselves are so, so wonderful. Katie has a gentle hand--even though extractions are generally not comfortable, she makes them tolerable. Her products are all high-quality, organic offerings, and she offers them for sale too, but I've never felt pressured to buy anything. The experience is always so great, and I feel completely comfortable tuning the world out and letting her work on my face diligently. read more

Wow, what a relaxing experience. A friend of mine recommended Mayday Skincare to me. I knew I've been way overdue for a facial, but I was so nervous because my last experience years ago (not at Mayday) left my face sooo red and in pain for days. I'm so glad I toughened up and just made my appointment. My face (which was full of acne and blemishes and overly congested) was so bright, soft, and smooth after seeing Katie. I loved how my face looked and felt so much.....so much that since then I have started a skin routine to maximize and maintain it. I have never in my life had a skin routine, but I was so happy with my results that I wanted to do anything to maintain it! Can't wait to see Katie again in 2 weeks!! Counting the days. Great products, clearer skin, VERY clean place and Katie is really following the COVID precautions better than anyone I've seen. read more

I've been seeing Katie for over a year now and she always makes each facial feel special & super relaxing. She customizes your facial to what your skin concerns are & she helps you achieve those goals. She makes sure that you are comfortable and doesn't push you to buy any products. My skin has improved so much every time I see her! Take her advice when she says to exfoliate & drink water! Haha. I'd definitely recommend seeing Katie if you're in need of a relaxing facial. read more

See all

I went to see Katie and immediately fell in love. Her space is decorated with inspiration and empowerment that started off our session on the right foot. I got the expert, 90 minute facial. The hardest part of the facial was trying to stop laughing, as Katie is the most hilarious human on earth. I also got a lymphatic massage which was a double whammy of a dream. Not only did I love the feel, I also got the benefits of it! I got my facial in the evening, so she didn't put sunscreen on. I went home and went to bed. I kid you not, the next day, 3 separate people went out of their way to tell me my skin was glowing! I already booked my next appointment and cannot wait! Highly recommend! read more

She will expect a tip from you. Yes, she is the business owner. My total came out to $201 for a facial that was done in under an hour and a half. I walked in there knowing the price of the facial I had picked and did not anticipate having to pay additional for a tip to the business owner. I always go to self-employed nail techs, estheticians, barbers, etc. and have NEVER had this happen. It is extremely rude. It really left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be back for that reason. read more

Katie is by far the best esthetician I've ever had a facial with. I'm super awkward and self-conscious, so going to get a facial always made me super anxious. Katie made the entire experience as comfortable as can be. I loved the products she used (and even purchased a couple), and how gentle she was. Her prices are more than fair, and there's tons of free parking! Everything about the experience was perfect, and I felt good about myself and my skin afterwards. I loved my experience with so much, that part of my New Year's resolution is more self-care, and monthly facials with Katie. I already have another appointment for a couple weeks from now! read more

Katie is an EXPERT esthetician and takes incredible care of your skin. She won't try to upset you on anything you don't need, and knows what she's talking about. I recommend her to everyone! read more

Katie offers high quality facial services at a fraction of competitor costs in the Burbank and surrounding areas. For example, I've tried 2 other estheticians in the area charging over $175 per hour. Katie charges nearly half of that! I paid her a visit for the first time because of the convenient location in Burbank, if you happen to work in the area like I do. She also offers monthly specials on top of her fairly priced services. Like other reviews, I agree that Katie is super gentle and you likely won't leave here looking like a tomato. Definitely give her a try! read more

Katie gave me the most wonderful facial today. I know I'm not alone when I say we could all use a little self care lately. I knew when I booked with Katie I was going to be safe because of what I saw on her social media accounts. When I arrived I was not mislead. From temperature checks, to hand sanitizer, to touch-less payments, to sanitized containers for your belongings. Katie made sure every precaution was taken. I especially love that she has her own studio. I left feeling relaxed and glowing while also knowing I was completely safe. Robyn M. read more

Katie is the absolute best! I've always jumped around different spas when it came to finding deals for facials, but once I found her I was DONE. Every time I leave there my skin is the happiest it's ever been! Her prices are incredibly reasonable, too. Also, she posts a ton of skincare tips on her Mayday Skincare Instagram! She's incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to skincare and keeping a healthy skincare regimen. I've learned a lot not just from my appointments with her, but from the tips she regularly posts. read more

I've only been here once and I already know Katie is my new go-to esthetician! I've been getting facials once a month for about a year and a half now. My former esthetician had to quit due to health issues so I began shopping around for new places in the North Hollywood-Burbank area. The environment at Mayday is very relaxing and spa-like. There's a pretty extensive facial menu and you can max out your relaxation with some fun add ons (hellllllllo scalp massage!) As for the facial itself: one of the best I have EVER received. Katie is so gentle with her extractions that I did not have any lasting redness or tenderness (usually my face is pretty reactive for an hour or so post facial but I walked out feeling and looking great immediately after!) I'm pretty sure I booked my next appointment on my phone as I walked to my car. I've been recommending Mayday to all my facial-loving friends in the area...if you're on the fence book now! read more

Katie is amazing! I look forward to her relaxing facials every time. What I love about Katie is that she reads MY face. I don't tell her what type of facial I want, she tells me what my skin needs. I can't wait to go back! read more

I started seeing Katie almost a year ago at Glow and followed her to Mayday. She is warm and inviting (as is her treatment room) and she has a very calming energy. When I used to get facials, I just accepted that my skin was going to look worse for a few days after, but Katie has completely changed that! My skin literally glows when I leave, and I feel/look great in the days following treatment. Her extractions are gentler than any other esthetician I've seen, but still effective (I need a lot of extractions)! She has great monthly specials and shares a lot of helpful information on her Instagram (@maydayskincarela). read more

Best facials EVER! Katie is not only a skin expert- but a beautiful person who is so kind and wonderful. I connected with her immediately after my first appointment and haven't seen anyone since. I have been seeing Katie for the last couple years pretty consistently and I am always getting compliments on my skin. While I try to get a facial every 6 weeks- Katie has helped me put together a skin regimen that keeps me glowing even if I have to skip a facial. I love that she makes facials approachable and can cater the experience to whatever you're looking for. Go see her now- you'll be so glad you did. read more

Katie is the best!! Her facials are so relaxing and she does a thorough job with getting those nasty blackheads out. Her prices are extremely reasonable and has monthly special that are really affordable. If you are in need of a "me" day definitely book a treatment with her! You'll thank yourself! read more

My first facial by Katie was 3 1/2 years ago right before I got married and I haven't let anyone else touch my skin since then. She is so thorough and uses the best products for your skin. She really knows her stuff and wants to help you bring out your best skin. She is someone you can trust and does a fantastic job. By far the best facials I've ever received in my life! read more

I did the February chocolate & mint facial & best choice I ever made. Katie is super nice and always ask if you are uncomfortable so she can stop treatment. Just had an awesome facial, and will definitely be back! My go-to estie is a 40+ minute drive from my apartment, so it's nice to know I've found someone in the Valley as well. Katie was super sweet, gentle, and her space is completely adorable. Her attention to detail was noticeable as well. I was able to charge my phone during the treatment, left with a hair tie, and some gum. Really cute and all things I appreciate post-treatment! read more

I have gone to Katie to get facials for a few years now, she is so great I have followed her to her different spots and now she has her very own space and it is BY FAR the best. She is so knowledgeable with her products and treatments and immediately makes you feel at ease. It will be the best hour of your life. You will also leave with suggestions about how to keep your new wonderful skin going until the next time you are lucky enough to have your appointment with Katie! I confidently recommend her to EVERY person who asks about getting a facial in the Los Angeles area! read more

The best most affordable place ever! You won't regret coming here. I came to Katie clueless about skin care and my skin needs. Katie is so sweet and has the most calming voice. If it's your first time she guides you through the facial of what she's doing and why along with educating you towards what your skin needs/ wants. I loved that Katie made me feel comfortable for my first time and didn't lecture me or make me feel dumb for not taking care of my skin as I should have. The whole place is so clean and calming! Free candy and water along with monthly specials! read more

I just had an amazing facial and I can not wait to go back for another one! It was my first time getting a facial so I was a bit self-conscious but Katie put me right at ease. She was very professional, gentle, and made the whole overall facial experience fantastic! Absolutely loved the products she used on my face, it looks super smooth, bright, and most importantly feels clean. I've purchased a couple of the products and Katie was super informative of each product and helpful in choosing the right ones for me. I'm so happy and excited to start my skincare glow up journey with Katie! read more

Love this place! Katie is a fantastic esthetician, and super knowledgeable about skin care. She knows just what your skin needs and doesn't try to up sell you on services you don't need. Her prices are incredibly affordable, unlike many other spas and salons in LA. Great location, very cute, and free off street parking (rarely will you find that in LA either!) I really like that she is cognizant about the product lines she uses, and she doesn't try and push you into buying anything, many other places will do that. Definitely recommend getting to Mayday for all your skin care needs! read more

I'm always a little bit on edge when I go to a new place for the first time, but Katie was sooooo amazing. Too bad I couldn't rate more than 5 stars. Her room is clean and It's a very comfortable environment. All the products she uses on her face smell amazing and they're all natural and organic. The facial I got was the everything facial, and it honestly was EVERYTHING. I feel so light weight and although I have a few red marks from extracting my congested pores my skin is glowing. Just from one facial I have learned a lot about my skin and what I should and shouldn't be using or doing. Another amazing thing is her prices are very reasonable. It's a win win great skin, service, and prices. Katie was honestly so kind and hospitable, she really is amazing. She has gained a new regular read more

Katie was GREAT! I've never had a facial, but my wife recommended Mayday and it was the BEST! I really didn't know what to expect and was a little nervous, but ended up falling asleep. Now I know what the fuss was all about. Go. You won't be disappointed. read more

I left a voicemail to see if there was any chance Katie had any openings that night. She text me back shortly after. Luckily I was able to get in that night! I was so glad I did! Katie is very welcoming, patient and kind. After reading other reviews I felt comfortable to ask her questions. She answered all of them in such a kind, patient and understanding manner. She even gave me a list of products she recommends for me. I never had anyone ask me what products I am currently using and take the time to tell me what products to use and explain the benefits of each one and how they work! Her thoroughness was much more than I ever received in the past. I am so so glad I found her!! And her prices are so reasonable! I am so happy I found an esthetician to stick with!
