The cold plunge was INTENSE. I was so shocked the first time I went in! I toughed it out and I'm glad I did- I felt so energized and refreshed after a couple cycles. To make this place even better, they offer Dyson air wraps and hairdryers for styling. I did an hour session consisting of 2 intervals of sauna for 20mins and ice bath for 5-10, then ended with a quick shower. I truly felt so amazing during the experience and after. The amenities were clean and appreciated that they even have a little beauty station with mirrors, dry shampoo, hair ties and a blow dryer. Definitely worth a try.

She did a French manicure for my wedding and it was absolutely flawless. I honestly wish I had more photos of my nails from that day! It still looked perfect three weeks later, even after four days at the beach with sunscreen, sand, and everything else. I've only gone elsewhere a few times when I've been out of town, and even with Dazzle Dry, nothing compares. Highly, highly recommend Sapa Spa!

Outside of that... they had the steam room and sauna temps up ENTIRELY too high; like beyond the threshold of human comfort... also, the floor in the salt room or whatever, was SO HOT I swear it almost melted skin off! Temperature control checks need to be done here more often! I will just go to Lake Steam next time... at least they regulate the temperature appropriately. You aren't suffocating yourself within 2 seconds. I had to cool pool plunge a COUPLE of times, just to be able to keep... myself from overheating. Literally, I think the temps were approaching 130-135F -- it was almost too hot to sit on the wood in the sauna, and the steam room was so bad... it wasn't even 1 minute and I was out of there. Stayed maybe 1 hour total. I felt... for the money paid, that isn't worth it.

Considering how much you'll be sweating in the sauna, the least they can do to enhance the experience is giving you water. Good thing we brought water with us so we wouldn't dried out!

With privacy in mind and a state of serenity (the lighting in the suite puts you in the mood!), the sessions can be enjoyed alone (great for solitude) or like us, get a suite with the tandem door open, we squeezed in a much needed gossip session while sweating away! The cooling, essential oil doused COLD towel (used at the end but given to you at the beginning) is the ultimate enjoyment! DON'T FORGET YOUR WATER. Or buy one from the studio, you want to stay hydrated. We booked a 40 minute session, going against the advice that 30 minutes are perfect for beginners - we had to call it quits at around 35, lol. We were started off at 140F. The pods remind me of wood fire pizza burners, haha. They can slide up and down and are lined with tons of towels, very hygienic. And I had no safety worries as all staff was wearing masks the entire time. Plus with the high temp I'd think all virus would be diminished. We started sweating buckets around 10 minutes in. It is beyond the most extreme cardio sesh you can think of. My friend said at the end that I was glowing, so I guess the detoxing worked! One advice would be to bring layers to change into in case you get so hot out of the session but it's cold outside of the studio. CYL has a lot of cute merchandise too and various packages and memberships, come check it out!

They keep your preferences saved so if you do come back they set up the sauna to your preferred temperature and any color settings. They have red light therapy as well as other colors or "mood" lighting depending on the vibes and what you're looking for such as relaxing or energizing. The best part is the cold eucalyptus towel to use when you're done. There are beverages and other items you can purchase too at the front desk.
