True Russian banya experience under new ownership. Called ahead of time to find out the situation. We rented out our own hot sauna for 2 hours. They gave us a full tour and a private room to get dressed and relax in. The room included a TV, towels, delish tea, water bottles and a snack platter. The sauna was legit, up to 180 degrees. The lady managing the place made sure we were happy throughout our visit with frequent check ins and assistance. You must try the bucket, cold-water experience and the cold plunge! Great authentic experience!

Karyn and Ariel helped us throughout our experience and were lovely and so hospitable. We had a room to lounge in with tea (mint & strawberry hibiscus) as well as snacks like nuts and fruit. Some comfy chairs to lounge in and neck pillows. Ariel was amazing at checking in with us throughout, refilling the hot water for tea, and making sure we didn't need anything else. We all had separate treatments, everything from facials to massages. They had us fill out forms in advance to get our information and massage preferences. It was really thorough - everything from what scented lotion we wanted to what type of music plays in the room. Allyson was my masseuse and she was wonderful. So friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with her throughout, and her hands worked magic. I felt so relaxed afterward. There was a moment during the massage where my back felt a little funny in one area, I told her, and she immediately helped target that area and was appreciative that I let her know. I definitely recommend her. We all had a great time! Wonderful spot for a massage for yourself or with a group!

I cannot thank you enough, Yelp, for organizing another Elite event with a spa, and this time,…read moreHeyday. Until this Elite experience was organized, I had no clue such a place existed. Hence, it's a nice way to get to know a spa like this; had I not signed up for it, Heyday would have been unknown to me for the rest of my life (might be an exaggeration but hey, when you are excited about something sometimes you want to amplify what you want to say, right?) I was simply overdue for a facial. Counting months from the last visit I had, my anticipation towards today's experience was HIGH. I felt like skipping to show up with a big grin on my face! They were expecting me because as soon as I stepped in, a young lady at the reception said, "You are Rika, right?" It was so nice to be expected! Since the first timer intake form was completed prior to visiting, the check-in took only a minute. I was a bit early for my appointment time. While I was waiting, I checked out some of the products that were displayed. I even tested a few of them on my skin; I was immediately impressed with it. Right at the appointment time (of 5:30pm), my esthetician, Aunjanee, came out from the back and greeted me. The young lady upfront explained to me about their cabins/stalls/room (however you describe it.) You'll be one-on-one with your esthetician in one cabins/stalls/rooms but it's an open-air system so you'll hear other people's talking/voices from other cabins/stalls/rooms. Some appear to dislike this system, this didn't bother me AT ALL (I've been to a facial place where it was a barber shop/hair salon style where they'll put you in one big room.) People can be chatty and loud but even if that happens, I think I'd still be able to handle the "noises". Aunjanee was so considerate of my old/sensitive skin. Once she cleansed my face using two different cleansers, she analyzed my skin thoroughly. She pointed out some problem areas and explained what would need to be done to tackle them. Her clear explanation was easily understood. And all the ingredients she used on my face had AMAZING scents. And the extraction part came. Since she wanted to clear the "congestions" especially on my nose, she squeezed it pretty hard (lol). This didn't bother me though as it wasn't painful. Oh, by the way, this place does not use steamers on people's faces; they only use hot towels (this was also explained to me upfront by the receptionist (I think); I wonder why that is. I didn't bother to ask. Was this a problem to me? Nope! I was OK with that 100%! 50 minutes of facial was just the right length. Because the whole experience was so relaxing (Aunjanee's soft voice had a hypnotic power) I was (at one point) half asleep! At the end, Aunjanee let me see the end result. My face was glowing like a bright moon in the dark sky! My parched middle-aged skin was supersonic hydrated. This was by far the BEST facial experience in a while. Thanks again, Yelp; You always organize great events like this to pamper/spoil us (I'm not complaining though!!) Thanks, Heyday; What a great salon! I will definitely spread the word!!

I do think it's important to note that the value of the 50-minute facial was $135, and for me, I probably wouldn't normally treat myself to this service. So it was truly a gift! And much needed hour of relaxation in my postpartum days. Setting up the appointment was so convenient through Heyday's website and creating an account. I actually had to chance the time of my appointment and was able to do it all online without having to call, which helped save me a lot of time. My personalized facial was with Ananda, who began by asking me what I wanted to focus on. I had no idea so just said anti-aging...? She talked to me about the importance of wearing sunscreen and exfoliating (once a week). Since the facial was free, I added the guasha treatment (for $50) which was a massage using stone in a scraping motion across the face and neck. I actually have a guasha tool that I have no idea how to use, so the experience was helpful! I loved all the smells from the products and was really relaxed laying with a warm blanket on a rainy day. After the facial, I bought two Dr. Loretta products - sunscreen and exfoliating pads which Ananda had used during the facial and recommended for me. I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired to take better care of my skin.

Booking was easy and I opted to purchase some add ons for our anniversary. The staff were super friendly and walked us through what to expect from our experience. They provide insulated cups for the beer so it stays nice and cold! The room was equipped with a shower, sauna, and hot tub. The staff suggested a particular order of use and I'm glad we followed their advice as it felt like we had the perfect amount of time in each area of the room! We had so much fun that my husband gifted me another Oakwell experience as a Christmas present. We recently moved to the suburbs so we will be trying the suburban location next. We can't wait!

My best friend and her hubs were in one room and we were in the other with our own tubs. They ask you to get there at least 30 mins before your appointment to have you select which herb bundle you want for your soak (we went with the energizing IPA which was complimentary as well as the Muscle Relaxing Lager that was a $10 add-on). They take you to the self-serve drink taps where you can sample their beer, wine, or spritzes. You're given your own insulated cup and you can choose your beverage before heading into the spa. We had the ADA room which was larger than the other and able to fit 4 of us in the sauna. They recommend 15 mins in the private sauna, a cold shower rinse, and then the remainder of the time in the tub. The tub starts draining 20 mins before your session is up to give you time to get out and shower. The jets are going the whole time so that pretty much muffles any exterior sound and we did have to raise our voices a bit to hear eachother from tub to tub, but it was great! The little details they've added really enhance the experience. It's a nice touch you can add a birthday or anniversary banner for $10. They give you sandals to wear in the spa so you don't need to bring your own. I loved the little talking prompts all around the spa and in the sauna to strike up conversation. It actually brought our group closer and we learned things about eachother we didn't know before. They hang robes in your room so you can pop out of the tub and go into the lobby to fill your drink OR there's a call button in the room for one of the staff to come in and refill your drink for you. There is a lock on the door so when it's time to shower (which is completely open to the room) you can lock up and no one can come in. The showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We had our garage door closed for that so each couple had their privacy. They also have a communal room to blow dry your hair equipped with lotion, hair ties, deodorant, etc. After our soaking experience which was very relaxing, we sat in their cooling / quiet area to unwind. We decided to add on the 15 minute anti-gravity massage chairs for $20 and I'm so glad we did. The room was so relaxing with the sound of waterfalls and stars on the ceiling. Those chairs are legit. We all loved our massages. Paul was a rockstar and provided excellent service. He adjusted our chair settings and helped us with whatever we needed. It was a perfect way to start my birthday weekend. My only gripe is they add a 20% gratuity to your whole bill so it was pretty pricey (over $700 for the 4 of us). Wish there was an option to add on what you like or have it applied to a portion of the service, not the add-ons. But other than that, it was a wonderful, unique experience and someplace I'd return to.

You end…read moreup spending so much money on this stuff, so I actually went on Groupon and looked at who was out there and what else they had to offer. I'm kind of blown away that I found Restorations on Groupon. I've been going back for over a year now, getting better results for almost PAINLESS microneedling as I did for insanely painful laser treatments that I had at other places. My skin has never been so clear, and my hyperpigmentation from years of acne is basically gone. At other places, microneedling has kind of felt like being slapped in the face repeatedly with a meat tenderizer, but whatever Kim uses to numb your face works like a charm. Seriously. Not to mention: As soon as you meet Kim, you realize there's something very deeply beautiful about her. She is maternal, warm, tuned into your needs, and (above all) masterful at what she does. She's been in the business for something like 40 years, and you can tell. She's never once tried to upsell me on anything -- it's not that kind of place at all. Her business thrives because people keep coming back. Even if I never had another treatment from Restorations (which is silly to think because I scheduled another one for mid-January), I feel like my life is more beautiful for having been a customer there and working with Kim. How many skincare places can you say that about?

He gave me some forms to sign and filled them out in the very comfortable waiting area. He took me to an exam room and went thru my medical history and also what I was looking to achieve with my skin. After discussing the medications I was on, he said it would not be a good idea to get the treatment I purchased the voucher for, but could go ahead and schedule a Carboxy Face Mask to see how that worked for me. I asked if I could have it done right there and then and he said he would go ahead and do the treatment for me. Steve is very professional, personable, friendly and knowledgeable. He really know his stuff. The exam room was comfortable and after changing into a gown, he started with a very thorough microdermabrasion followed by the mask. It was a weird sensation (really feels like pop rocks), but I only had a little bit of tingling but no discomfort. He then did some light therapy on top of the mask. I was very pleased with the results and he gave me a salon credit because the mask was cheaper than the laser treatment voucher. Steve and his staff are awesome! Felt very comfortable and they also provide massages, wax, laser hair removal, botox/fillers and a variety of facials (especially for people suffering from acne). I like the fact that they are medically directed and supervised, and their medical team is often on site. Plenty of free parking and there is a hot dog cart in the parking lot which I will try at my next appt!

I got the hot stone Swedish massage with deep tissue add on and it was hands down one of the best massages I've ever had! The heated stones were the perfect temperature-- warm enough to radiate heat deeply into my muscles, and when they were finally placed in my hands and feet, the warmth seemed to envelop my entire body. As she moved along my arms and legs, the texture of the stones created a gently scratchy sensation that was incredibly satisfying, almost like the soothing pleasure of a light back scratch-- relaxing in a way that's hard to describe but instantly calming. When the stones were placed on different areas of my body, the warmth seemed to travel through my entire limb, creating a full body sense of ease and releases combined with the doused deep tissue work, it completely melted away tension. I also really appreciate firm pressure and in past massages, I've often felt like it just wasn't quite enough. Shantronda, however, delivered exactly why I was hoping for-- strong and consistent pressure that truly worked into the muscles. I walked out feeling lighter, looser and deeply restored, which was exactly what I needed. The location is so charming and bright - there is a sunroom area that can booked for large parties. We checked in a few minutes late for our group however the team was very accommodating getting us checked in and ready. I thoroughly enjoyed my standard massage - the treatment room was spacious and clean. I did change in the treatment room to be able to take full advantage of my appointment time and then I was escorted to the locker room area to change into a room and enter the quiet room for tea and relaxation. However this experience was not relaxing. The spa was extremely busy and the quiet room was so packed there was barely anywhere to sit. With so many people even in hushed tones the room was not very quiet. It is also co-ed which I don't normally enjoy when you are in a robe partially nude (and we weren't given a heads up). The locker room area is small and little tight for all of the people that were in the room. One of our party was unable to make the appointment and we could loudly hear a staff member/manager complaining that they were not informed in advance (which could have been addressed at check in) and made us feel unwelcome. Once we were paying we were loudly asked who would be paying for the appointment since it was not cancelled in time (which we did pay with no discussion) but it would have been appreciated to address with more tact. Overall I enjoyed massage but I would definitely ask prior to booking if they have a full house during the time slot you want to make sure you can actually walk around and enjoy the spa.
