OK, so here it goes! I am having a hard time finding decent spas here in Colorado. It seems like there's a million in California but not as many in Colorado. This spot was recommended to me by a coworker. It's located in a weird little strip mall and decent inside, the person that did, my treatment was excellent! Massage was great. The Banya was very interesting and then the mud mask afterwards was luxurious. The reason why I'm only giving it four stars is because it's very pricey. I think the owner could spend some money to make the interiors a lot nicer with the amount of money you pay. The shower was very dark and no shampoo or conditioner. Can't use the hot tub and the floors felt dirty. There was gravel underneath my feet from the hot tub. All in all can't complain but that's the down and dirty of it ! read more

Then they come in douse you with cold water (while you're still in the sauna), cover you in honey, then hit you from head to toe with what I think were palm leaves(?). WEIRD. But awesome!! If I had to sum up my spa experience at Izba in on word it would be, amazing. Seriously, I have never been so relaxed and I am an avid spa-er. I wanted to kick off my Memorial Day Weekend with a bit of relaxation. I had heard about Izba in Parker several times and thought I would give it a go. Boy, am I glad I did! Tucked into an unassuming aging shopping plaza just off E-470 and Parker sits Izba. As you walk in you are greeted with a cozy waiting room with a wooden table/bench and walls filled with everyone from Vladimir Lenin to Celine Dion. It's interesting to say the least! As I waiting I was given a nice cup of hot tea and watch Cirque du Soleil on the TV. Strung up in the office were dozens of oak branches that will come into play later. I went for the basic treatment, it went like this: 1) You disrobe in your private treatment area complete with hot tub, banya, shower and massage area. 2) You start with a soak in the hot tub - 30 min. (didn't pay attention) 3) Then I moved to the back massage, which was one of the best I have had in a long time due to my muscles being so loose from the warm water. 30 Min. 4) Next up the Banya, which was so insanely hot you feel like you stepped into an oven. You lay on your stomach as they drench the rocks with scents of lavender & eucalyptus and massage in honey to your skin. 15 Min. 5) Just when you think you can't take the heat, they lead you to a cold shower - relief! 6) The front massage is next and is just as good as the back do to the loose muscles. 30 Min. 7) Then one more Banya session - front this time. This session is ended with a steam cloud of peppermint then a bucket of cold water. It is invigorating! 15 Min. 8) A shower to wash off all the honey and sweat and oil and you are in complete relaxation mode. I can't tell you how much I loved the whole experience. Massage is not for everyone, but if you like massage and you want a truly transforming experience (it's not for wimps or people who are in and out in an hour types). This is the real deal. Get the deluxe 90 minute treatment. Jacuzzi first, massage for an hour, banya with amazing essential oils..sweat out your toxins, massage again, banya again... more amazing essential oils (peppermint, clove, orange and lavender), then a finishing masque or scrub. It's about a three hour experience but it will be sooo worth it. Also, I need to get the name of my therapist. He was amazing... worked my shoulder injury right out... I haven't been pain free for a year but was when I walked out of there. Also, I kind of like the quirky music so much better than whale's song. :). Do this for yourself. I love coming to the Izba! I usually do the Izba special: hot tub, 1 hr massage, and banya. Holy relaxed batman! My body feels great, food tastes better, and the world seems brighter after coming in! The banya session is a little strange if you don't know what to expect... dry heat then steam.... followed by a light beating with oak leaf bundles... followed by a thorough basting of honey all over your body... and finished off with a bucket of cold water poured over you. Come here if you want a different kind of massage experience. The place is clean and the staff are professional. The concept of using heat (tub and sauna) to loosen your muscles to get a better impact from the massage is awesome. The hot tub was a perfect temperature and very comfortable, but the sauna was definitely much hotter than I expected. Unfortunately, and most importantly, my massage was just average. In addition, I found the choice of music not relaxing. If I come back I would skip the sauna and try one of the massage therapists recommended here. read more

This is by far my favorite Spa, anywhere. I've been to both locations, and they are both nice, but I like the Parker location better. It's clean, the walls are decorated with picutres of old Russian fairy tales, the people working there are friendly, and every time I leave I feel like I'm floating. I think it has something to do with the Banya... Depending on the package you choose, your process is different. The last time I was there, my husband and I had the Basic Treatment, a 2 hour package. First, we soaked in a hot tub to begin to relax. The water is clear and sparkling clean. Next came the Banya. The Banya is a sauna/steam room, kept at around 170 degrees. You lay down and soak up the heat. Then someone comes in and brushes you with scrub oak branches, dried with the leaves on. I've done this in Russia, and I can tell you that they're much gentler at Izba Spa (but I bet you could ask for it a bit rougher, if you're into that sort of thing). After about 8 minutes, they come in and rub honey into your skin and then dump a bucket of water over you, which feels so fantastic, I can't describe it properly in mixed company. Then the massage. Fantastic. They'll massage deeper or lighter as you wish, and they will focus on certain areas you specify (minds out of the gutter, it's not like THAT). Then back to the Banya. Ohhhh, it's so HOT in there! SO HOT! That cool water in the end is so worth of it, though! You come out of there feeling like you're walking on air. A nice cup of tea to rehydrate and a couple of apple and orange slices finish the treatment. Oh my, do you feel awesome. Oh, there was a quick shower somewhere in the middle of all this, but I can't remember when. The Banya erases everything. Sigh. Awesome. We're going again tomorrow. Edited to add: The actual sequence of the Basic Treatment is hot tub, back half massage, banya (no cold bucket of water), cool shower (feels great after first banya), front half massage, banya (with bucket of cool water, nice!), warm shower to remove the honey and massage oils. Still a 5 star spa in my opinion. Came here recently for a 90 minute massage and banya and it was still fantastic. The banya was hot (approx. 175 degrees), but that's what it's supposed to be, so it's hard to complain. The massage was awesome and worked out all the kinks. My one complaint is that they were running late for my appointment, but since they are pretty small and really only have a couple rooms, there's not much you can do about it. Since COVID hit, my "work from home posture" has taken a serious toll on my neck and back. Desperate to find some relief before a week-long backpacking trip (I literally was having back-aches every day), I came across Izba on yelp. I dragged my boyfriend here for a 60min couples massage and we both left feeling like entirely new people. Our masseurs both did an incredible job! My masseur was able to work out so much of my muscle tension and I was able to carry a 30lb backpack through the High Sierras for a week with no issues. I definitely love Izba. My husbands takes me there for my birthday or our anniversary. They have a room where you can get tandum massages. When I first went I said you want to slather my with honey during my massage??? It is fabulous. With the standard package you begin in the hot tub and them move to the massage. Once the massage is done you are sent into the sauna where they let you warm up, then they come in with soaked tree leaves/branches and gently beat it against your skin and then comes the slather of honey. They escort you to the shower and then back to the massage table and you start the process all over again. This process takes about two and half hours but it is well worth the time. After all of this you go to the sitting area where they have yummy hot (or cold) Russian tea and slices of apples and oranges waiting for you. What a way to end a perfect session. I don't know her name but there is an older Russian women who used to work there (and still may as it has been awhile since I was there) that weighs about 80 pounds and it seems like she reaches into your bones and muscles with skeleton like fingers. I woke up with a bad headache and back spasms last Sunday morning. I Googled "Massage in Parker" and very few are open on Sundays. I called Izba Spa and luckily for me, they had availability! I wasn't really sure what a "banya" was but hey, I'm always down to try something new (except with weird food). I booked Eugene's Special, a 90-minute massage with a Russian Banya session. Upon pulling up, I began to have doubts, as paying $130+tip for a massage that's located in a strip mall seemed a little crazy. In their lobby area, they had a TV playing some cool gymnast videos and the walls were lined with autographed pictures. I'd asked for a deep tissue massage and ended up with a male therapist, which is pretty common for me. He took me into the room and led me into a private sauna, where I was to lay down on my belly. It was hot in there, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to breathe for long! I kind of have a weird thing about hot spaces, not being able to breathe, melting to death, etc. I lay down and told myself that they wouldn't let me die in there. Just a little dramatic, I know! He came in and checked in with me, warning me that it was going to get hotter. But he was soothing, and my fear abated. He began to kind of hit (not painfully) me up and down from my legs to my shoulders with bushels of leaves, sometimes cool water would trickle through the leaves and relieve my hot skin. He kind of came and went, doing the leaf and water thing, letting me relax. Then he came in one last time and put some honey mixture on me and poured a bucket of cold water over me. It was such a rush! I couldn't breathe for a few seconds, but the mixture of cold water and hot air was such an incredible feeling. After that, I took a brief shower and lay on the bed. He gave me a great 90-minute deep tissue massage. Once it was done, he left the room so I could get dressed. I took a moment to look around a bit, the murals painted on the walls were really cool! When I left the room he had a clementine and some hot tea waiting for me in the lobby and I took a moment to enjoy it and get myself awake enough to drive home. All in all, a great experience. The next day, my back felt all bruised just like it should feel after a good massage. I'll definitely go back again when I have the money, it was a really great experience! read more

My husband and I went to Izba for the first time yesterday. We just happened upon it while trying to find a couples massage. It was Valentines Day so everyone was booked, including them. But, they called us back after our initial call to tell us they that had a cancellation and could fit is in. And I am so glad! We tried the Izba Spa Special, (Hot tub, hour massage and banya.) What a wonderful and unique experience! We loved every minute of our time there, (The banya is intense but fantastic.) After our treatment, we were offered fruit, chocolate, (Valentines,) and a wonderful herbal tea. We left completely relaxed and feeling great. This place very very clean - A+ for that The sauna was not as intense as the other banya we visited - I almost 'tapped out' at the other place - I was able to complete three sessions here w/ no problem. The cold water splash in the sauna in lieu of the cold tub was nice - The massages were not very good - my masseuse had cigarette breath - as a non - smoker - it was pretty gross - the massage at the other place put me to sleep - it was hypnotic my wife's masseuse had a year of experience - you can imagine how that went Increase the intensity of the banya and hire better massage therapists and you have a winner -- as is - it is sub-par. read more
