I went Thursday, and had pre booked. my mom had gotten me a gift certificate there. I asked for an hour massage. when the MT came in she immediately went to work on my back without asking me what kind of pressure. after a bit I was asked "medium or hard?" I replied neither. let her know my lower back was compromised and instead wanted my shoulders worked and my neck the most. all in all, the shoulders and neck were barely worked on, and whatever was done to my lower back, caused knots that im needing addressed somewhere else. it was the strangest experience and being asked constantly if the pressure was right, and not addressing my main concerns. I get massages regularly--about once a month--and unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I've had. It was clear that the person giving the massage lacked proper training in human anatomy and massage technique. Instead of working methodically from top to bottom as most skilled therapists do, she repeated the same unstructured motions over and over with no real purpose. I specifically requested a full body massage, but only received work on my back and legs. My arms, shoulders, and neck were completely neglected. If you have any injuries or need therapeutic care, I strongly caution you to avoid this place. This was not just disappointing--it felt unprofessional and potentially unsafe. read more

I loved the massages I got here until I got a call from the manager a couple weeks after my visit accusing me of disputing my credit card charge. GET THIS. When I looked into it, they had actually charged me multiple time for a single visit on different dates and I hadn't noticed yet as the c card statement hadn't closed. This lady wanted to accuse me up and down and then when I explained that she had actually stolen from me, she backed right off and apologized. I had to cancel that credit card because they clearly stored the info somewhere YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Update: received a reply from them which is below. Note that I never noticed that I was charged multiple times until this lady called and accused me of disputing the charge. Weird that she now is trying to turn it around on me. I was obviously angry when I got a call a full two weeks after the massage accusing me of disputing it. I haven't even bothered with disputing the extra charge because it's a lot of steps and I've wasted so much time trying to untangle this. Best case, they can't keep books, worst case, they are crooks. Not sure which one it is, but I had a terrible experience and it is reported here as it happened. read more

I almost feel badly leaving this review, but I have to be honest here. I just got back from a 75-min massage. I have gotten "Chinese Massages" off and on, for nearly two decades, and love the style, normally . And.....full disclosure, I am a very longtime Massage Therapist myself. So maybe I am partial to things being done a certain way, out of habit and work ethics. I arrived early, for my first-ever appt here, and there was some confusion about whether or not they could start early on me, and once it was decided that they could, I was put into a room, without any intake, any questions to me or from me to them. I did find someone who spoke English, as my Therapist didn't. I explained that I am going to be having knee surgery in one week, and to please just avoid my legs altogether. My therapist did not avoid my legs, but at least she was very light with her touch, on the legs. The problem came from the fact that I felt like this (very) young woman had zero connection to me. It was like she was just operating by rote, without FEELING what my muscles needed. She literally went over and over and over the same few spots, using the absolute point of her elbow to dig in to my muscles and ON my spine, numerous times. I think she spent about 1/3 of the whole massage on one specific area on my right side Upper Traps (and upper vertebrae), digging in, over and over. It needed some work, but not 20 minutes straight, full-on. I had asked for deep pressure, because at first, it felt like she was just basically petting my back. So I asked for more pressure. But yikes, I didn't want the points of her elbows to be the only type of touch I got. I kept my underwear on, because that's how I felt more comfortable in that moment, but that didn't matter to the Therapist. She literally pulled them down to the backs of my thighs, leaving my entire butt exposed, for quite some time. It was like she didn't know how to adapt her style to what the client wanted and needed. I still tipped her well, because of the fact that I could feel that she was trying. She just seemed to not know any better than to use only points of her fingers and the sharpest points of her elbows, or that she should never dig into my actual vertebrae or lean an elbow into my Occipital region (neck), while using her other elbow to scrape away at my skin. I left feeling almost angry, and feeling bruised, but without much of any relief to my lower back, since she hardly massaged me there at all. (Added several hours later: I now am trying to lie in bed, and my spine is so painful that I'm finding it difficult to lie on my back right now. ) I'm so sorry, but unless I find a different Therapist there, and can personally request them (I wasn't given any choice, when I booked online), then I sadly won't be back. read more

The other massage place I planned on going to was too busy to take me so I googled other massage places near by and RELAX EXPRESS MASSAGE popped up... And off I went! When I arrived, they could immediately take me and I was stoked! This place is clean/neat and private. I asked for a combo body rub and foot massage for 75 minutes and boy oh boy did they go ABOVE AND BEYOND!! This place, MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT FOR SURE and I will 100% be back! So insanely relaxing and with your own private room, you don't have to worry about your massage therapist getting distracted by other customers walking in and out asking for availability, which winds up sort of ruining the experience!!! I went to the Relax Express Massage spa after having my back raked (scratched) at another massage spa. The staff here is a bit more educated than at the other one also. I came in with some degenerative disk issues and the provider I had, (Lili) knew what to do without being told. After that initial session I returned to have a deep tissue massage along the lines of a Thai massage and again I had the pleasure of Lili. First off, I have chronic muscle tension issues. I had a membership at another spa, but canceled because I didn't use it enough to justify the monthly payment. I had a particularly stressful month and found myself in need of an immediate message so I could function again on Monday. I called my old membership spa and they were booked solid, and I called some other spas around the area with the same result. Now to the good part. Relax saved the day. I took a chance and walked in on a Saturday night with no reservations. They got me right in. The theripist was very communicative throughout, and was constantly asking if the pressure was right. Superb value - I've lived in numerous states, and this is the BEST pricing I've ever encountered. I'm amazed I can walk in and get a massage without having to make a reservation. The location (University/Arapahoe) is very convenient, and easy to get to. There is plenty of parking out front. The front entryway is warm and inviting. I've been five times since moving here at the end of November, and I'll keep going back. I've had both the relaxing Swedish massage, and the deep tissue. Both are true to their descriptions - I've been thoroughly relaxed after the Swedish, and also worked over when my muscles are sore with the deep tissue. The ambiance is lovely, with low lights, a nice aroma, and calming music that isn't too stereotypical and never gets too fast paced and aggressive. More importantly, the massage therapists here are all excellent at their work. I've enjoyed both a shorter reflexology session and a proper hot stone massage and found both to be expertly done. My husband and I had the deep tissue hot stone massage today. Ambiance was really nice, we were in the same room. They went to war on our knots and muscle tension. Probably the weirdest massage ever. I was not asked what I was coming in for. I've been having problems with my knee and informed my therapist to avoid the area and she continued to massage it. She sat on top of me to massage my back. My underwear were pulled down to tuck the sheet in, still exposing my entire butt crack. There was no form of draping AT ALL. She walked out half way and didn't say anything she returned with hot towels and proceeded to give my entire back side a sponge bath to get rid of the oil she used. I informed her I needed to use the bathroom so she could end early, but ignored that too and continued to massage me for the entire hour. Overall, I wanted to leave within the first 10 min of laying on the table. Do not recommend unless you enjoy feeling not relaxed and vulnerable entire massage. read more

This is a great place for a wonderful massage at a reasonable price. I chose the 60 minute, hot oil massage for $45. What a deal! Bobby does a great job. The location is under new management and the service is even better now than before. They really listen to you and tailor the massage based on your needs (e.g., deep tissue vs softer/medium massage, etc.). I've had the hot stones before and they are heavenly - so relaxing. You rarely have to wait as they can generally fit you in during any hours that they are open. This is an updated review for Relax Express, I used to go to Bob at the old location in Littleton but have followed him over to his new place. This location is much nicer and closer to my work Which works out perfect for me and my husband. We love Bob, he is truly a healer, fixes my husbands back and gets all his knots out everytime.
