I have been going here for over 15 years, I think, starting when it was Eastern Dragon. Which is a name that I like better, but oh well. My favorite massage is the combo: 30 minutes reflexology (which includes a scalp and facial massage), and 30 minutes full body. Reflexology and facial massage can help with sinuses. This time, because I was in serious pain, I did the 90-minute combo for $85. Ooooooh. Owwww. The reflexology was wonderful and relaxing--the facial and scalp massage are done while your feet soak in a bucket of hot water--but the bodywork is INTENSE. My pain was mostly concentrated between my shoulder blades, and lower back. Like all Asian massages for pain, the process is painful. The therapist used her elbows on the knots in my shoulders. She found and kneaded out areas of tension. The massage finishes up with hot stones and a wipe with a warm towel to remove the oil. I'll admit that I was kind of happy when it was over, lol. AWFUL! Don't waste your time or money. The place is gross and filthy. They don't even change the sheets between massages. You are more likely to get an infection than a relaxing massage. It had a damp, mildewy smell like the place hadn't been cleaned in a long time. My massage was nothing but weak sauce. I suspect the person who gave it had never given a massage before. She certainly had no training. I asked for deep tissue, but she just gently rubbed my skin. I asked repeatedly for her to use more pressure and be harder. She just said OK, but nothing changed. Used to be good. Tried it one more time again after a bad that experience today, will never ever go back. Last two massages were terrible. On this massage the lady kept massaging one area on my back for 20 min and her hand was a little rough. I told her three times my skin was getting sore and starting to burn and to move it around. She simply would not. When I told her I was unhappy she and was leaving she argued with me real loud and other customers were in there getting massages. The walls are paper thin. So unprofessional and rude. As noted in some other reviews, the place is dumpy and often had a moldy smell, but the massages used to be good so I put up with that. The staff were very friendly.The massage technique is lots of forearm/elbow pressure and no questions about areas to focus on/avoid. I have been STRESSED. The business cards now read Sophia Massage but it truly is on the up and up. I cannot believe the smallest Asian woman could give me the best massage ever. Enough pressure and she got up on the table in true Asian massage fashion and got down deep into my muscles. It appeared she did not know a lot of English but massage has no language barriers. Forget the foo foo spa's......this place is inexpensive enough that I can go twice a month (once I start my job) and the muscles stay relaxed. Not too soft of a touch where the muscles tense up after you walk out the door. I have to come back one or two more times to give the final star. W booked us a massage yesterday to help cure our crunkly bodies after working almost two months straight! The outside was kind of crazy looking and doesn't say "Eastern Dragon" on the outside, so we actually drove past the store front a few times before realizing that's where we needed to go. We did the deep tissue massage for $75/90 minutes (for each person) - be sure to clarify the price and time because W said he thought it was supposed to be $55, but maybe that was just for 1 hour instead of 90 min. Either way, I still think it was worth it. The ladies that did our backs don't know their own strength - they really went deep into our back with their elbows! It was exactly what our muscles needed, although the skin on our backs are still feeling a little tender this morning. I am really ticklish, so I do like a firmer massage; if you are sensitive, though, then don't get deep tissue here! We do wish they spent a little more time on our legs and feet, but I really can't complain because my body ended up feeling a lot more relaxed than when I walked through those doors. read more

We had to be in separate room as each room only has 1 bed. Despite the cheesy name, this place does legit Chinese acupressure. I am on a business trip and after my long plane ride in economy class, I was feeling all cramped and achey. They were close to my hotel and prices were good, so I gave it a try. The woman from Shenzhen was awesome, digging into all the right points in my stiff shoulders and neck. Stopped by tonight after a full day of shopping. I hate shopping so we were looking for something relaxing. We got the combo, 30 minutes feet, 30 minutes back. Why 5 stars? 1. Ambience: No harsh lighting and dimmed red lights. After the head message, they cover you eyes which I prefer. It is awkward when they are not covered. 2. Head/face message: They start off with a head message which is my favorite. Ears were not included but that is okay. I prefer scalp massage over ears any day. It also included a light face message. After the head massage, they covered our eyes which is nice. 3. Feet: could have been deeper, but it was one of the better ones I have had in awhile. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and appreciated the attention and extra time with my heels/arches. 4. Back: they had us remove our shirts and bra. Remember how I mentioned the foot massage could have been a little deeper a bit ago? I ate my words on this part of the message. Maybe one of the best deep tissue massages I have ever had. Popped all sorts of areas on my back and neck. She used pressure points too. My Wife's massage was good on this area too. She located and worked out knots. My Wife has back pain due to a car wreck she was in 15+ years ago so she always struggles with a tight back. Her massage was perfect! We will definitely be back. Sue is by far the best massage I've had in Denver. She is very professional, and actually knows exactly what she's doing. Don't know where she got her training.
