My husband and I booked a couples massage here for our first massage experience, and it was honestly awful from start to finish. There was a major language barrier right away, which led to a lot of miscommunication. The staff barely spoke or understood English, and we were given no clear instructions. All they said was "get on the table" and then left the room. We weren't even sure if we were supposed to remove our underwear, and when we went to ask, one of the massage therapists walked in while my husband was fully naked -- even though we were clearly yelling "no, no, we're not ready!" It was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. We specifically requested light to medium pressure, but they ignored that completely. The pressure used was excessive -- at times it felt like my shoulder was going to pop out of place. I woke up the next morning covered in bruises on my back, and I am now in serious pain. I can barely move. My husband is also in pain and very sore -- this was not a "good sore," it was a damaging experience. Despite all of this, my husband still tipped generously. But the therapist had the audacity to say the tip was "too little" and asked us to add more. It came off as greedy and made an already bad experience even worse. In total, we ended up paying $330 for a two-hour reflexology massage -- including a $30 tip we were pressured to give. Not welcoming. Not professional. Not worth it. I was excited to try this place as it had high reviews. It was honestly one of the worst (if not the worst) massage I've ever received. I verbally said "ow" multiple times, and I asked for less pressure. She asked me if I wanted "medium" or "hard". At first, I said hard, thinking I'd like that. Within 1 minute I switched to medium, and she continued to push very hard. She kept asking if I was "okay" which is a sign it itself. Also- she was barely massaging me, so much of it was rubbing, burning hot stones. Also- when she put my hair up, she pulled so hard. Everything felt abrupt and like she was going through the motions as quickly as possible without a care that a human was beneath her. I guess I'm giving them 2 stars because I am not injured, although I was concerned I might be! *update* I am changing to 1 star, my neck is in so much pain 2 days later! I'm definitely not returning, and I am questioning if they are a front for something else as this woman was definitely not trained! read more

UPDATE: This business has changed owners. While I would expect the prices to go up, I didn't expect the quality to go down. My regular masseuse is gone. The nice lady that did my most current massage may not have gone to massage school. She did the same type of stroke on my feet as well as my body. There was not variation to her movements. I was quite disappointed. I also had a punch card however, the woman at the first desk took it and gave another one with just one punch. The punch card I originally had apparently doesn't count. I came in wound up all kinds of tight with knots galore and Sophie did a phenomenal job releasing and ironing the knots out. I used to go down the street to Lili massage until. . . I received a cut in my back from massage girl which was rather deep so Adios. This new one is also on Arapahoe and very clean The receptionist was very helpful as were the massagist, Sophie. I explained that I would be having a rotator cuff replaced and she went and began some stretching then some oils on top of my massage. HEAVENLY! Conversation centered around my injury and various helpful exercises that she developed in her spare time. A true professional. I did 90 minutes as that was all I could tolerate. read more

Update*** Since posting my reviews I have been called twice and texted by this company. I was told that this was a Chinese massage and that's why I did not like the massage. No where does their listing or website say anything about doing Chinese massages. The website says "We offer a variety of services including Foot Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, Swedish." There is no reason I should not have received decent back massage in 30 mins and reflexology massage in 30mins! They have been very unethical. Telling me that by purchasing a Groupon the therapist was not paid and that my review is causing her to be fired!! I am shocked at this companies business practices. I purchased a combination body and foot massage from groupon. Pressure was good, however there was little to no actually massaging. It was more of a hot oil rub down. I was taken to a room which included a massaging table and a chair. I was told to sit in the chair and was brought a bowl of water to soak my feet in. After soaking my feet, the massage therapist wipe them dry and told me to lay on the bed fully clothed. I was covered with a towel and she did a 30 minute reflexology massage. I was then told to disrobe and was only left with a tiny sheet that did not fully cover me. I get 1-2 massages a month and have never experienced anything close to this. This was the worst massage that I have ever had. I bought a massage from Moon Spa off of Groupon because the ratings were really high. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience. The masseuse was rubbing the bones in my back and shoulders as opposed to the muscles, and it was very painful. I was worried that she was going to injure me. I even told her that it was hurting when she was rubbing my spine and she continued to rub it, thinking that it was a problem area because I said it hurt. This was not a relaxing experience at all and I was tense the whole time. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Moon Spa recently. I've been having trouble with my back and decided to visit Moon Spa. I was impressed by the cleanliness and neatness of the store and was promptly greeted by Nana. The massage tables were heated so it was very welcome on such a cold day. Nancy asked me where I was experiencing the pain in my back and she began working on it immediately. I opted for the 90 minute massage but it felt like 20 minutes--I was so relaxed and zoned out. I bought a Groupon and was really excited for my massage. I am deaf and need to read lips in order to understand someone. The people here REFUSED to help me understand them in any way, and they kept accusing me of not knowing English even though I'm flashing my hearing aids and it's quite clear that I CANNOT HEAR. My boyfriend came in and was trying to explain that I can't hear them, I need to read lips so please pull down the mask to talk to me. They were freaking out about the mask mandate. Well if you read the mask mandate it says you CAN pull down your mask for a deaf person. Needless to say I will not be back as they are NOT accommodating for deaf people in any way. Massage was alright and the lady was nice but what's really disappointing is them claiming a 20% tip or higher. I always tip a 20% whenever I need to give a tip and if I had a really good experience of course i'm gonna leave more money but this time was really disappointing. I went to Moon Spa last night for what was supposed to be a relaxing 90 minute massage as my "mamas night out"... And it is very disappointing to say that I had the WORST experience ever. The service, the massage, everything about it left me so unhappy. I woke up hurting more than I did when I walked into Moon Spa. Let me start by saying that I am a recently new mama with a lot of injuries/specific areas of pain, so massages are a regular in my life. I know what to expect, and what makes the experience comfortable and relaxing. However, I am new to the area, saw the great reviews and went in excited with high hopes about this place! Unfortunately that was not what I experienced. Upon walking in, no one introduced themselves to me, asked me if I needed anything, or made the experience welcoming. They did not have me fill out any forms on my injuries, past experiences, areas of pain, allergies, medications, etc. They did not talk to me about those either. In fact, barely any words were spoken to me at all. This is a NECESSARY practice to ensure the customers safety. My massage "therapist" (I put that in quotes because I genuinely do not believe she was a trained professional) was VERY rough, aggressive and hasty. Nothing about this massage was relaxing. It felt as if she was rushing through the entire massage. I was wincing in pain the whole time from not only the pressure but her nails digging into me. I even had to ask her to be more gentle and slow multiple times, without success of a more relaxing experience. She used her elbows over my bones so hard that I woke up with bruising this morning. I will be going into my chiropractor today, as I can not straighten out my back or lift my leg past a certain point after this massage. Aside from the physical discomfort of the massage, I left very unhappy with a few other "services". Their "hot oil" was cold after the first five minutes, the music was a 1 minute song on repeat for 90 minutes at a very loud volume and the room itself was cold. I also had to pull the blanket over my "personal areas" to cover them, as the massage therapist did not. It was very uncomfortable and unsettling to experience that. She also walked out of the room and left the door wide open multiple times, with me just laying naked on the bed. Needless to say, this experience was the worst I have ever had. Unprofessional service, painful and uncomfortable massage, and no respect towards the customers privacy/needs. I am not one to write reviews, or walk away unhappy with many experiences. But if I can help people from walking into an experience like the one I had at Moon Spa, I need to share my experience. I would 100% never recommend anyone going here. read more

Difficult to communicate with about pricing for the Groupon I used, and was asked to pay in person after having already paid on the Groupon. Because of communication issues (the person assisting me with my massage was not fluent in English by a long shot), this just made the whole matter more awkward, and I felt pressured to accommodate this places/staff's lack of knowledge about how the Groupon worked. Management or staff need to get clear on how that policy works. The massage itself was much more like a rub down, even after me telling the assistant a number of times that I needed a much firmer approach. I have an athletic build and was told that there would be deep tissue work done. The foot massage was okay though, but still a very light approach... This place seems more like the kind of parlor for someone looking for "relaxation" rather than those seeking real therapy. I should have listened to my gut, because I walked out with the same pinching sciatic nerve pain that I walked in with, hoping to have this recent flare-up addressed. Massage therapists need to FIT and STRONG. And those who say they will address specific injuries or chronic pain need to have legitimate training. read more

I get massages couple times a year and get to try out quite a few different places over time. And this place is probably the best experience I had so far. My masseuse Mia was very patient and tend to all my sore spots I told her with the right strength. I love deep tissue, and Mia did that very well.
