Bub bo hue, regular and small sizes with accompanying veggies.
    Brett B.

We came to try the bun bo hue specifically because some friends recommended it. It's in the same strip mall as Viva, which is currently being repaired after having a fire. We got a small size for my wife and a regular size for me. I didn't know that the regular size was another places large size. I managed to eat almost all of it. The flavor is good with a good quantity of meat and pork knuckles. The veggies were fresh but needed a little more banana flower. My wife thought the soup could be hotter. It was probably around 165° f. She likes to make her own around 200° f when serving, so the veggies cook when added. All in all, the bun bo hue is tasty and well worth the price.

The tea here is just OK We sure have better boba tea in town. Price range is a bit high compares to other place.

Staff is super friendly! Everyone was following CDC/Corona-Safety. Teas and drinks are amazing! One of the best teahouses I have tried in awhile. Not overly sweet and not overly priced. Averaged $5 per person for drinks which is better than a lot of competing teahouses. Atmosphere is quaint, warm, and inviting! Will definitely be back!

We popped in after a girls lunch next door at Viva. The decor in here was super cute. We enjoyed taking some photos while we waited for our drinks. I got a classic milk tea with boba. They didn't carry lychee jelly, which was a surprise. It was good but not the best tea flavor that I've had. I took a lychee slushy to go for my daughter. It was a bit too sweet for her to finish. We would go back for the ambience and a craving, though it wouldn't be my first pick.

I love this spot. Super cute and the quality of cups is amazing. They just added a space to be able to play board games with family and friends. I recommend this cute spot for a nice date.

    Dessert Shave Ice Strawberry

I got Redbean Matcha Latte and it's pretty good. I love their Shave Ice Strawberry with Ice Taro Bear. They're delicious! Just right not too sweet. I will definitely come back here again.

If you are looking for a place near Jersey Village to study, hang, have good conversation over some good drinks and eats, come to R Tea Zone. This place is in the middle of an oasis of strip malls with ethnic foods. It's next door to Viva (Vietnamese/Chinese) so it's a great place to grab a drink on the way home or to park your laptop and get some work done. When you go in you see an open minimalist modern decor with a bit of rustic farmhouse. There's room at the farm table and also some comfy chairs with coffee tables. Curiously the place opens up to a cabinet showroom (didn't ask!) The workers were enthusiastic about their drinks and foods, which was awesome to hear. I asked what was their favorites, so I tried their recommendation to get some Cafe Su Da (iced Vietnamese Coffee). We were able to customize with 2% milk and he warned it still has a strong bitter aftertaste, and I'm like yes! Bring it on. Overall the coffee was strong and bold, definitely a trademark bitter aftertaste but right on the money. My friend tried the Thai Tea, which he also suggested to add in a free topping of egg pudding. My friend has lived in Asia and has made his way to many a boba place, and he said it was among the better ones he's tried. I am looking forward to trying their fruit teas, smoothies, and taro milk tea. On the food side, they also have tonkatsu ramen, popcorn chicken, and a highly touted Teriyaki chicken bowl. I loved meeting the owner, Rainbow, and she was personable and very customer focused. I was impressed with her humility as she said she's always learning from her customers. That's a great trait in a business owner, always growing and improving. This is looking to be my go to drink spot when I'm not in the office!

Looks like I received an attempted insult/threat from my honest review. This person doesn't want to claim their business for a reason. I welcome any challenges to my review. Prove me wrong instead of trying to start a fight. No wonder you can't keep a business.

Winter melon tea added herbal jelly and chia seeds
    Hang N.

It's hard for me to find boba places that offer winter melon tea. It definitely is a winner in my book when they do offer it. My favorite go to would be the iced winter melon tea added toppings chia seeds and herbal jelly! Refreshing and a filling snack! And toppings are free which was a great bonus. I love how convenient they packaged my Togo order, I was worried how I was going to hold all four drinks. But they made it super easy to carry! Great spot to find last minute to fulfill my favorite craving!

So far from my first visit I only had their pineapple smoothie. I asked for 50 percent sweet and it still taste great you can def. tell they also use real fruit. They are very nice workers def. want to be nice and kind to their clients. I have yet to try their milk teas will be reviewing soon. - the place is very nice. Nice looking great furniture and some modern decor. Although the place is kind of small I would def. come by to study considering it is not as busy yet.

I had called before heading out to make sure they were still doing it, and they said that they were. By the time we got there, they said that they were not doing it anymore, and they ran out of all the supplies. I even told them that I had called before leaving my house and they said that they just ran out. I would have appreciated if they would have checked how much supplies they had before telling people to come up for the smoothies. My family and I drove up there. Multiple people came in after us looking for the free item and turned around and walked away when they did not get it. However, we thought we already drove up there, so we decided to support them. I'm not trying to give a bad review because I did not receive a free smoothie. We bought smoothies for the family so the trip wasn't wasted. My son is a huge mango lover, and that's the one he got and he did not like it at all, although I did not think it was bad. It wasn't sweet and didn't taste like mango. But I digress. One of my daughters got the matcha and we literally all tried it and had to throw it away because no one in our family liked it. I got the spirulina one and I liked the color, but it's not something I would particularly go out and get. Overall, I feel like I'm being very relaxed with my review because it ended up being a nice little family outing. But the final straw for us was the bathrooms. The bathroom was not clean and I had to clean the toilet before allowing my child to use it. We saw a man and woman bringing in supplies while we were there, but it got late and we had to go. I'm not sure if they would have even honored making the free drinks at that point anyways, but at this point everyone in our family tried them and did not like it. Free drinks are not why I am disappointed, but more so that that the bathroom was not clean and it smelled weird in there and no one liked their smoothie in our family. I hope they can make it nicer and not close down because it looks like it's a nice establishment in Vintage Park, but they just have to work on cleanliness and having actually good drinks.

The website is nice and the flavor options are fun, but the flavors and textures never hit quite right for me. My most recent pick-up experience was especially disappointing. I placed an order on the website over 30 minutes ahead of my arrival so that I could pick up a smoothie and make it to work on time. I set the pick-up time to 9:10am so that it would definitely be ready by the time I arrived. When I walked in at 9:15am, the employee hadn't even started on my order yet... and ultimately, I didn't walk out of the store until **9:28** am with my smoothie, and I needed to be at work at 9:30am. The employee herself was completely polite, but didn't acknowledge the fact that the smoothie was being made late. I understand life happens, but for an order made over 30 minutes in advance on the website, the store didn't seem busy enough to justify how late my order came out. My actual smoothie's texture was just too thick and the flavor felt muted, like the fruit in it needed more ripening. I did like it more after it had sat out for an hour or two and melted a bit, but due to my overall experience, I could not justify the steep price point. I see now that reviews here are pretty mixed. I'm glad some people love this place, but it's just not for me.

She seemed a bit unsure and didn't really offer much guidance, so we ended up ordering what sounded good to us. One son chose a cookies and cream smoothie, my other son ordered a chai milk tea with boba, and I went with the classic milk tea with tapioca pearls. Overall, the drinks were actually good, flavorful and refreshing, just what we needed for a warm day. The ambiance was really pretty and clean. I loved the greenery throughout the space, and the music made it feel welcoming and relaxed. Service-wise, it was just okay not bad, but not memorable either. Would I go back? Maybe. Maybe it's just because I go during off hours, but this location doesn't feel as lively as it used to back in the early 2000s. That said, the drinks here are always consistent, and I've never had any issues with their service. I really should take advantage of this spot more often when I'm in the area. For this location, there was only one time they ran out of boba and had to substitute with another topping... this was frustrating because seriously, how you gonna run out of boba?! Come on! Other than that, the shop is always clean and usually pretty empty when I visit, which is actually kind of nice. I usually go for the QQ Happy Family milk tea. It's my favorite across all the locations. But now I'm most upset they took this item off their menu and no longer even have the toppings to custom order this drink... this is such a huge disappointment as I only order this particular drink. I guess I'll have to find a new temporary favorite before they decide to change up their menu again...

To be fair, the staff was hustling hard--everyone looked like they were running on pure adrenaline trying to keep up, and they were still friendly despite the chaos. No complaints there; they're clearly doing their best. The place itself is tiny and feels cramped even when it's half-empty. Tables are squeezed together, and the ceiling (yikes) is absolutely caked with years of dust and cobwebs. I couldn't stop staring up at it while I waited, and it honestly made my skin crawl a little. Menu is huge and looks promising, but I just wanted a simple London fog (it's not even listed, but most coffee shops can make one). What I got tasted like faintly-earl-grey-flavored hot water with a splash of milk. I watched them make it--they literally just dropped a tea bag in a cup, poured hot water, added a quick shot of vanilla syrup, and handed it over. No steeping, no real effort. For almost $6, it was honestly insulting. I finished maybe a third of it out of politeness and bolted. Two stars instead of one because the employees were trying and the place has clearly been a neighborhood staple for a long time, but everything else felt tired and neglected.
