I am a member at this gym, so I thought I would get my husband and me massages for his birthday. It was the first time I have been to this spa, though we frequently spa for special occasions. We will not be back. First of all - the spa is located directly under the weight room, apparently. There were constant loud crashes right above my head the entire time my massage was taking place - not so relaxing. Also, my masseuse was just very young and not very good. My husband felt the same way about his. We both laughed about how we wanted to say "um, that's a rib - that's not helpful." My husband was not given access to the executive lounge, as promised when I booked the massages - despite my specific request again BEFORE the massages. And, although I called to complain to the manager, I have not yet received a call back. It was an overall disappointing experience and a waste of money. read more

I've had massages from Joseph and he's awesome! Not only is he good, but he is professional. With my experience, I find it hard to find a male massage therapist who doesn't hit on you. :( I've had my eyebrows waxed by Sarah and she's good too... very meticulous. But be careful, if you go over the 15 minute time frame, the spa will charge you for the eyebrow shaping rather than the eyebrow clean-up, which is more expensive. I went there had a massage by Jolie I think that's her name. It was the worse massage I have ever had in my life. The lady did not have a flow and her massages were scattered, her hand were weak, hot and clammy yuck. The lady did not drape each area right . The hotel its self is nice and they have a lot of activities but I will never go there again for a massage or if I do I definitely do not want her again period. read more

Horrible massage experience today thanks to being placed in a "couples" massage room without a full wall between me and another client. I got to hear that client moan, groan and talk non-stop for 50 minutes. It was absolute torture. When I complained to my therapist she said she and other clients have complained for weeks and spa management refuses to do anything. After my massage I asked to speak to the manager--the spa manager doesn't work today. But both receptionist at the desk knew all about the issue -- the room and the non-stop talker client have received complaints over and over and management does NOTHING? I am a member of this club and my experiences have always been excellent in the past and there is no excuse for this! This was the farthest thing from a relaxing spa experience--worse than an airport massage and twice the price. So disappointing! read more

Best Spa experience ever! I had a De-Stress Massage with Melissa and it was excellent! She asked all the right questions in the beginning and definitely maximized the short time frame I had available. The front desk staff was awesome both when I booked and when I came in for my appointment. They all were very friendly and knowledgeable. Another great quality of this spa is how clean it is! I have been to this spa for a waxing service before my big day last year. The gal who helped me was amazing and very patient. I was very nervous becuase it was my first time getting a brazilian wax, and she talked to me the entire time to keep me calm. I cannot tell you how thankful I was that they did an excellent job. The atmosphere of the spa is amazing, all the people have wonderful attitudes, it just really makes your experience. This spa is wonderful! I highly recommend Nicole Tscherneff. She is the best esthetician I have gone to and I have gone to many. She is extremely professional and knows skin. Her waxing is amazing. I always get compliments on the shape of my eyebrows. I wouldn't let anyone else touch them! Her product recommendations have been right on for my skin type. She is easy to talk to and is interested in providing her clients with a relaxing experience. I really appreciate that she doesn't talk through my facial. Ive had many estheticians talk while giving me a facial and that seriously takes away from relaxing. I love the products this spa carries. Ive only had great experiences here. read more

I first went to this spa because my favorite Esthetician, Angie, was hired there recently. The spa is very clean and the staff is friendly. Angie does such and amazing job with facials! My skin is always glowing when I leave and she's extremely knowledgable. She actually listens to your skin concerns and gives you advice if you want it. My friends and I kicked off a girls' weekend with 80 minute Classic Massages at R Spa, and they were amazing! I got my massage from Renee and was completely relaxed throughout all 80 minutes and for the rest of the day. Renee used hot stones for part of my massage and it was phenomenal. I've always been skeptical about hot stone therapy from pictures, but now I'm a firm believer. I can't wait to get pampered again at R Spa. read more

I had a disappointing experience today, mainly with the management. I frequent this spa about once per month for massages. Today, I had one with a new staff member and while she was good, she did not do the front of my legs/thighs-just my arms. It felt like an incomplete massage, especially since my legs were sore from the prior days workout. I asked her after the massage if there was a reason why she didn't, and she replied it has to be requested due to the massage being a short period of time (which is 50 min). In all of my massages here Ive never experienced this. When I checked out, I inquired if this is something new so that I know whether or not to request this going forward-I was not complaining, I simply asked the question and explained what happened. The manager got defensive, and instead of apologizing or offering a discount (aside from her saying - we will give you your member discount, which I was owed ANYWAY!). She said over and over that the therapist was very experienced, and also asked me if I requested the front be massaged. Now why would I ask for the front of my legs/thighs to be done when A. I was paying for a full body massage B. this has never happened before and C. she stated the need to request this WASNT a policy. To be clear, I had no complaints about the therapist, I was just puzzled why the front was not done-then stunned at how the manage handled this. The girl checking me out even seemed a bit uncomfortable as to how this was handled and whispered an apology and also defended me to the manager saying that was a bit odd to not do the front, and relayed to her I was frequently at their spa. On the positive, I love the easy access to this spa, it is great if you are a member. Also, in my experience Charlene is the best therapist here-fantastic. So all in all a decent Spa, just very poor customer service as it relates to management. read more

R Spa is worth the time. Nicole improved my skin so dramatically my friends thought I skipped that natural stuff and went right to botox. She never oversells me products, only makes suggestions based off my needs and usually gives me samples first. She takes the time to get to know you and evaluates you like a scientist! The spa is always clean and she is always on time. The girls at the front desk always call me by my first name and provide wonderful efficient service. In addition Nicole makes great referrals within the club...again not rushing, evaluating and making sure if she gives an opinion it's right on target! read more

I visited the spa while staying at the Renaissance Club Sport hotel. I only had a massage so this review is limited to that experience. The spa itself is clean, but minimalistic so I'm guessing most just head over for services after the gym. I was not happy with the massage. The walls in the room were so thin that I could hear everything being said in the adjacent room, even over the music that was playing in my room. It was so loud and clear that I actually thought it was someone blasting a TV or radio. It's my understanding that this problem is only going to get worse since the hotel is planning to do some renovations in that area that will attract more people/noise. The massage was also just "okay". No real pressure (even after I asked for more pressure) and no real rhyme or reason to the massage (even though I asked for the primary focus to be back, shoulders, neck). The massage was certainly reasonably priced but unfortunately this was a case of you get what you pay for. read more

Maria and Celeste nail technicians, and Danielle for brows at R Spa are top notch! I committed to getting my nails done on an every other week basis a few months ago, and I couldn't be more pleased. Because we are Gold members of Club Sport, there is a discounted price, and there's an additional discount for Mon-Thurs services. While they don't do acrylic applications, their shellac/gel products are great and don't peel like those of other establishments that I've tried locally. The massage chair for pedicure or for sitting in during shellac removal is the best kind of massage chair in a nail establishment I've sat in - I fall asleep and relax every time! Best part is my kids can be in the child care for free (which they love) on site during my brief visit, so everyone is happy. I am a regular at R Spa and already love the fitness facility, so will try their other services soon! The only reason I'm not clicking 5 stars is I've been to the spas at many Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton Hotels, and those are really the ones for the 5 stars. I've been going to R Spa for more than 4 years now and I highly recommend Nicole Tscherneff to do facials for you. I travel quite a bit for work and with my family, and whenever I go, I try to get pampered at the local spa, normally in 5 star hotels. I must tell you that R Spa really delivers!! Not only that it's reasonably priced, they used high quality products, they are also super friendly, know what their doing, and they always have your best interests. They don't try to sell you stuff just to sell stuff!! They give out samples for you to try at home until you're sure it's working for you. They NEVER push you to buy things from them or make you feel guilty if you don't. My son is now 14 and I look forward to sending him to Nicole so he can learn to take care of his skin now that he's a teenager. As for me, I go there regularly to get my pampering done from Nicole!! Oh, another plus, if you are member of the Renaissance Club Sport, you can drop your kids off at childcare, and you can relax and enjoy your treatment :) I've done client events there too, they are very flexible and accomodating!!
